I lived in Lake Clair, Nike, Hercules, and then off campus at The Lofts for my senior year. (If you ever decide to move off campus, The Lofts was amazing). Sophomore here! I lived in Neptune last year and based on the view from your room I'm pretty sure I used to live 2 floors down from you. Hope the sound of the skater kids at night doesn't go up to the 4th floor lol If any of your roommates were random matches please please please try to include them in some stuff this first semester, last year my roommates were a trio of friends from highschool who were so cliquey and basically ignored my existence. Depressing af And of course, the obligatory college tips: 1. Don't spend too too much on starbucks, it adds up and asking for money while 200 miles away is a lot harder and more awkward than while living in the same house 2. Go. To. Class. We had half the spring semester in person and I wasted it by skipping class so much to hang out with my ex. The only reason I passed my classes were due to the end-of-semester leniant corona curves (and pass/fail 😬) Partly my fault for getting so attached, but set boundaries with your friends and so's and don't be afraid to have me-time to relax and study on your own without having to worry about spontaneous outings 3. Huey Magoo's is the best restaurant on campus and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Unless you're vegetarian, then it's probably qdoba or something :P

I unfortunately didn’t get this type of college experience because I was doing online classes while in the Army and by the time I went to a physical college, I was a junior who lived with a friend of mine in a house near the school. I love the way that you set up your dorm room, it reminds me of when I lived in the barracks. I hope that you have an amazing time at college! I am from Clearwater, and really miss Florida! the Palm Bay sign in the grass is the most “traveling out of south florida” thing in the world even if I’ve been asleep in the car or not paying attention I know when we’re close to it
Can you explain what you used to hang all of your wall decoration? I have some frames and a canvas to hang up in my dorm room and have no idea what commands strips, hooks, etc to use for them!
For frames/canvas I definitely recommend the strips!! I used hooks for the decor above my bed, the grid wall decor, and hanging my plants. I would get a little bit of everything just to be prepared!!
no its totally fine and no they weren't. i started at 10 and took until like three and then my parents helped me with a bunch of stuff the day after too! it was honestly a really organized and easy process compared to what i was expecting!
