Thanks a ton for making these ...a quick question can we also fetch previous versions of a record from SP list into power apps ?....Kindly provide your valuable insights into this scenario if any

Thanks for watching, I've personally have not used this scenario....it's very interesting though. I'm not sure if you can do this in PowerApps, but I did see a video from Laura Rogers mentioning something similar but in Power Automate...can you elaborate on the use case needed for previous version of a splist, as the view only shows the deltas...only when you "restore" the previous version do you get the full state of the list item at that point in time....let me know your thoughts on this.

I have a scenario where we enable versioning on SP list without restore and are able to fetch different versions of data in power apps against a record in a gallery....i guess we could consider power automate for this scenario...checked Laura Rogers videos but couldn't find such a solution...will try to explore more on my end.....thanks again DeShon Clark for providing your inputs

HI Deshon, are you going to any project with spfx + react with latest updates? and yes please please let see your list schema

Since you asked, this will be my next series. I was going after Modern SP 2020 tips next, but I'm past due on SPFx, and there are some really cool features now that helps overcome the friction to get going quickly. I can show how to go from new to project to production in under 45 mins with SPFx web parts using SP restAPI, React, Fluent UI, and a clean repeatable pattern. ...more on this soon

Do you have any courses with this information to do a deep dive? I really like the way you have gone through this and I have been wanting to learn power automate for some time.

Thank you for your interest! I currently do not have any courses specifically focused on Power Automate, but I do have a website, spclassroom.com, where I provide tutorials and resources on various Microsoft 365 topics, including Power Automate. You can visit the website to access the tutorials and learn more about Power Automate. Additionally, there are many online courses and resources available that offer in-depth learning on Power Automate. I recommend searching for courses on platforms like Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, and Microsoft's official documentation and training materials.

Hi I want to learn complete Premium Connectors in Power Automate.
Can you suggest me which playlist of yours I have to navigate on.

do the entries in the SharePoint list come directly from a MS Form? If so, how do I get my information from the MS Form directly to a SHarePoint library? My Form submissions are stored in an excel sheet

    • @DeShonClark
      @DeShonClark  Рік тому +1

Great question! In this particular video, the entries in the SharePoint list are coming from a Power App form. However, if you want to get information from an MS Form directly to a SharePoint library, you can use Power Automate (previously known as Microsoft Flow).
Here's how you can set it up:
      1. In Power Automate, create a new flow with the trigger "When a new response is submitted" (for MS Forms).
      2. Select the MS Form you want to use and the specific questions you want to capture.
      3. Add an action to create a SharePoint list item in your desired SharePoint library.
      4. Map the MS Form responses to the appropriate fields in the SharePoint list item. You can also use expressions or manipulate the data if needed.
      5. Save and test your flow.
With this setup, whenever a new response is submitted in your MS Form, it will trigger the flow and create a new item in your SharePoint library with the captured information. This allows you to easily transfer your form submissions from an Excel sheet to a SharePoint library.
Please note that this process may vary slightly depending on the specific requirements of your form and SharePoint library setup. Let me know if you have any further questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with!

Hey man, long time! Hope all is well. Yes, will definitely look into this...when we get deep into Power Automate...having a great pattern for API calls, PowerShell, and Azure function triggers is a must....it's more Pro Code focus (vs. no code, low code) but much needed and could keep your solutions inexpensive.... especially when you can avoid the premium connectors. I'll add it to the backlog. Great hearing from you again
