yeah what the hell LOL spooky shit aside, at least in The Pay Is Nice which chris played earlier... that science facility thing was good looking and clean lol
Chris playing the demo: "This is great, I'll be definitely playing the full game." Also Chris playing the demo: "Ok, go grab that exit key so we can end this."
About the bathroom mirror, I'd strongly guess that they're watching to make sure you swallow the pill. It's amazing how crappy the place looks in general, but the shine on the floor, where there is some shine, is absolutely blinding! Whew! Somebody really likes polishing/buffing. 11:15 Damn, that shine is spot on! 14:00 Can't resist it.
Right on time 😁 thanks Chris Edit: I really enjoyed this demo had the right amount of atmosphere and scares, I can't wait for you to play the full game when it comes out
Thank you to everyone involved in making what I can only call a flawless demo. This was absolutely everything that a demo is supposed to be. Showed off the environment (beautiful!... well, OK not exactly, but you know what I mean), gameplay mechanics (easy to understand, smooth and reliable operation)-- OK wait, there was one minor flaw. The lighter fluid, which was specified to _not_ be unlimited, except that it was, presumably for purposes of the demo. So about the only thing that I _don't_ know about playing this game is whether my lighter might go out permanently, forcing me to depend on the camera flash, or if there is (rarely) lighter fluid to be found to refill it, if necessary. Oh, and whether Edward ever gets a smoke to calm down (but probably not, the censors would have your heads, although in this case it's definitely the lesser evil). Back to the wonders well-displayed: special mechanics (also operated correctly, and that's not always easy with objects that have physics, like those trolleys); special gameplay conditions (the sanity system worked well, and although you had no control over losing your sanity-- in part presumably because this was a demo-- you were given adequate resources to maintain it, so that one could understand how the system worked); enough of the story to 1) understand who you were, where you were and why, and 2) get intriguing clues as to the (back)story of the larger game; and of course, it is quite clear that the game will be scary, because this demo was scary AF, in that "Amnesia: The Dark Descent" style of scary (AF). This was also one of the few times I've seen a demo kill the PC off at the end (which I was expecting, otherwise there was no end) that fit perfectly with the flow and was not a big fat crap on the player. There was certainly enough gameplay previous that when you got to the end, you didn't feel cheated, and you also got to see (kinda) the result of your sanity dropping to 0%, just so you knew. And all this without spoiling the actual full game.... bravo! Really polished work, which certainly gives me confidence that the full game will be very much worth the price when it comes out. I also feel confident that CJU will play it when the time comes, so thanks in advance, Chris ;-) ! And congrats on finding another winner! You do know how to pick 'em!
Very interesting game. I guess the red pill somehow helps the people who work there not seeing supernatural things. That's why he's been able to work there without an issue until he decides to skip the pill.
Great looking game! Kinda reminds me of Visage with the dual wielding camera and lighter. Really appreciate all the content you put out my friend. Keep up the great work!
This game looks great!! but the only issue is no one knows the reason for the sanity to decrease.. I think they can work on the jumpscares a little more cuz I can't see a thing.
I agree with you, Mahra. Although it was great to see CJU getting spooked, I missed most of what was intended to be scary and, therefore, lower the player's sanity quotient.
So my friend was talking about some let's players i should check out, and describing them, they all seem so over the top. I tell him thats not my speed, my boy at CJUGames is cool, calm, and collected while he is seeing some of the most horrific stuff in the gaming world. Keep up the good work man!
Thanks for the video Chris! It seems strange that someone with mental illness needing constant medication is allowed work in a body farm. Plus, the company mandates its employees to take their prescribed medication to "stay focused". They are told to take the medication in front of the mirror (it's possible there is a camera behind monitoring them as well as cameras around the facility). If it was to prevent employees from seeing supernatural things, maybe the location they are working in is a bad idea. The MC does not see anything strange until he decided not to take the medication. Unless there is another explanation: the company is performing psychological experiments on their employees. The moment they decided not to take medication leads them to suffer withdrawal and see vivid and horrific hallucinations.
Came across here because Itzyogyalcutie is one of your fans. She talks about how amazing your commentary and professional your channel is on her other social platforms. She have a gaming channel but she haven't been on for almost four years and now runs a collectible channel of watches from rolex, gucci, etc. handbags, shoes, etc. 🎮🕹
That was just lovely! I love the pacing of this, how it's getting more and more chaotic and intense by the minute, not letting you chill for a moment, until it culminates in this crazy ass Giger/eldritch-horror room that promises nothing but further terror and suffering. I have high hopes for this one, fingers crossed!
I would like to know as well. EDIT: I saw another video where they took the pill and I honestly didn't notice anything different. If there's a consequence for taking (or not taking) the pill then it will probably be showcased in the full game, I guess.
The protagonist is clearly not in his right mind. Working with dead men with taking pills. I wonder if he was the guy who chained the door by himself earlier...
@@frederickletterblair It's hard to believe it, but DR Bass actually founded it back in the 70s and it's still around to this day. I've never seen it in person myself, However, I've heard both the fence that surrounds it and the whole forest outside of it are haunted as hell.

Why would I want an air conditioner when I can just watch one of your walkthroughs to get the shivers? 😂 Beautiful demo thaugh, I can't wait to see the full version!
Someone said this is all reused assets but it has something more, creativity and that cant be bought anywhere, and it is exactly what sets this apart, and yes, like chris said, this is amazing
Looks very good. Wonder in which direction the story will take us. Somr scares where well timed also different in sounds and in images. Wonder if you take the pill in beginning building will look all rosy and sunshine.
How do you get such a high video codec for your videos? Just curious, youtube defaults users to the low codec normally. I assume it's based on views. Thanks for the spooky videos btw.
Pretty good game. Your character freaked out a little too easily and there's a ceiling fan casting "anatomically incorrect" shadows. The shadows were verticle along a wall. They should have been, based on the lighting, horizontal along the desk top. 🙂
I liked this demo, but I have to complain about the depiction of psychiatric meds in horror games. Antipsychotics aren't only used for things like hallucinations, they can also be prescribed to people with clinical depression or bipolar disorder as a sort of secondary med. Also, you don't just take one when you are hallucinating or having symptoms. I don't know of any psychiatric medication that works instantly (except maybe sedatives); it usually has to build up in the bloodstream over time, which is why you should never miss a dose. I just think they are overused in horror games and not used accurately. Mental illness has enough stigma as it is. I don't blame the developer; it's all too common in the genre.
I got to the wheel turning part and decided to quit the game cause I thought it was a glitch. After watching this, I kind of wished I just walked outside the room. That ending would have been cool to experience.
Aside from being utterly illogical (a guy with psychoses working in a body farm), the game seemed to rely too much on very dark environments. Otherwise, there was a lot to like!
Thank you for playing! :)
Good stuff !
