    This is exactly why you check your oil before you use the machine each time. Normal maintenance and care will keep these engines running forever. Kohler Command engines are the top of the line air cooled engines money can buy, and are still made today and have been since 1987 proudly in the USA!

      It doesn't matter what brand it is if it's burning oil which was the case the engine is on it's way out ... thank you for watching

    I bought a new 2016 Bad Boy with a Kohler 27hp. They are known for charging system failures, coil failures, starter failures and much more. I went through a few starter solenoids and settled on a 200amp model finally. I ran negative cables from battery to motor, frame and electronics. I mounted a air intake snorkle and that makes my oil stay clean all season long. My Kohler still runs but goes through starters (cheap junk permanant magnets are half glued in) and has no charging system. I hope to put a 1 wire altenator on it sometime. Not happy with Kohler at all.

      Was not impressed with this Kohler but then again didn't have it long when the engine blew up lol ... I guess that's why the other guy had it for sale lol. But did 2 seasons on this Kawasaki and it's been great. Thank you for watching

    Great job... I would like to tell you about my Bridge and Stratton engine...new from same warehouse. It came apart after two cutting of our yard.
    The rod came out through the side.
    I'm not getting any good service from Amazon or the company we got it from...
    What a mess.

      I'm so sorry to hear that ... I know the kids kicked their father out of the company and he started back up on his own. I know that's not what you want to hear but it may explain the situation a little ... thank you for watching

    I am looking to do the same swap on an identical mower. Do you know the output shaft size on the kawasaki? They have different sizes in the FR730V.

      @CountryMileGarage 2 роки тому

      I think it is a 1 and 1/8 inch shaft but I'm not 100% sure. Check the shaft and the key size on what's on your mower now that way you can re-use the pulley ... thank you for watching

    I wish you were a little clearer and more in-depth with the wiring, that’s the confusing part for me and I’m sure a lot of other people, you just said “I took dis wire and hooked it up to dis wire, and added dis wire and cut dis wire” without explaining really why for any of them. I have a Kohler and would like to swap to a Kawasaki, but I think I’m going to just reinstall the Kohler I have, but I’m missing the harness end on the engine side, so knowing what each wire does would have been helpful. You’re knowledgeable enough to understand electrical wiring, but not enough to realize that other people may not? Sorry, but your video is a bit of a let-down.

      I'm sorry you feel that way I have done a lot of engine swaps especially on pickup trucks for me this was a very easy and very basic engine swap kinda figured if you get into something like this you'd understand some of the basics but you are right you probably be better off to put the stock engine back into it ... thank you for watching

      @@CountryMileGarage Well then, rather than simply offering a condescending "I'm sorry YOU feel that way", why don't you try to answer the concern constructively? Why not ask what I'm confused about and try to help me learn, do you just want to hoard all of the good knowledge to yourself? lol
      You basically are telling me, "SOOORY but that's YOUR problem. I know I made an instructional video for the views and ad revenue, but I'm not going to ACTUALLY INSTRUCT you on anything useful. I don't really understand it myself, but I know what someone pointed out to me one time, and I just copy that, without really understanding any of it. You're probably right, you should do what you said you should probably do, because I think you're dumb for being aggravated that I wasn't clear, and refuse to be as such. Thank you for watching."
