Joe Henderson has been my favorite tenorman since I was 15 yrs old and now at age 76, but, I bought a cd with you and Freddie and you still blow me away with the tune Managua. (also Bolivia). I also have a cd with you featuring Kenny Drew Jr. and your playing grabbed me there as well. What I'm getting at is that your playing has feelings and tone qualities that I cannot get from Joe. You are definitely your own man and that's what grabbed my attention about Joe. I try to copy some of your stuff in my playing but I'll never get the expressions and feeling you play because I'm not you. I like what you said in the interview about finding yourself instead of copying others. I've heard a lot of players and consider you one of the players sitting on the top of the pyramid steps.
