Great video George. I actually like to say all your videos are great and was my inspiration for my making of my checkers tutorial. You are right, every move should have a purpose!

Hi Joe! Thank you very much! It is a very nice compliment coming from a "Master player" like yourself. You made my day. I think what you are doing to help people learn this wonderful game is great. Keep up the good work.

Thank you! I am glad you asked about "the move" which means "He has the move who has the last move. You can trap your opponent. This is important in the end game. In calculation the move i did it real fast and should of explain. You count your single King-row square 1,2,3,4 red, or 29,30,31 and 32. When it is your turn, count all the pieces in your system say white the column 29,30,31, and 32. If it is even you don't have the move, odds you do. The exchange change the move for white. ty

Your welcome! That a really good rating you have in chess. I am glad you like checkers also. There have been Masters of both Checkers and Chess in the past, but not to many nowadays.

Hi, thank you for all the effort you have put into creating these videos. Could you explain how you work out whether you have "the move", please? I saw you counting the number of black and white pieces on white's columns. It seemed there were 4 before and after the pieces were captured. Would it be possible for you to create a video to explain this technique. Also, would you recommend any checkers books to help me improve, after I've seen all your videos? Thanks again in advance!

Hi Mr. Nielsen! Sorry about the distraction I do the videos in my kitchen and there are different noises like the refrigerator and so i like the music because it relaxes me and helps my concentration. In regards to recommending a book i suggest you go to "The Checker Maven" website by Mr. Bob Newell. He has some books you can download. I believe his web site or Jim Loy's website have detail on books. Joe Moore is doing some checker video which is very instructional on you tube. Thank you!

when red goes 15 to 18, white jumps 22 to 15, then red plays 7 to 10 the white move then will be 15 to 6 instead 14 to 7, in that case white wins

Hello, Thank you! I appreciate your kind words. You have a very good question. The website called "The Checker Maven" by Mr. Bob Newell has some very good books that you can put on PDF form. They are free and very good. This is a really good website. Cheers, George from New York.

Thank you for the video :) I did enjoy it. And you are right. It is always best to have a plan. That is how i one of my matches..i was planning a double jump. But it ended up into a triple jump due to the foolishness of my opponent and he won many checker medals as indicated on this game site. So i guess he wouldn't be labeled as "new" to the game. I will say it is difficult to have a plan because i guess my knowledge of checkers is limited. :)

Very nice video. I would like to ask you 2 questions. First: could you please explain better how are you counting at 6min10s? And the second: Is there a way to play against you one day? ;)
