I own several 6B45 body armors that are in like new condition It is produced in 18, 20, 21, and 22 years As the models become more recent, the buckles and internal finishing of the neck guard have improved There is a lot to say about protection, but it is only at level 1 of the Western NIJ protection standard It has a density of 2.5 kg per square meter and is made of 24 layers It is not composed of a single material and is composed of a 125 gram sheet and a 110 gram sheet Based on size 2, it weighs approximately 2.7kg 38 caliber 380ACP effectively blocks and blocks low-velocity 9mm bullets
Just to add, the older prior issue 6B43 was actually issued with both front / back 6A plates, but also the rarely seen side, lower back and groin plates all of which were made in 6A. For some unbeknownst reason, Russia has stopped making the lower back, side and groin plates in 5A. However you will see them crop up in the ongoing war by people who have managed to acquire them
Is this the Gen 1?? I haven’t seen one in that shade. Thing looks brand new in war time. I have 2 6b45’s one has the grey Molle one has the EMR Molle. Got a Arctic one on the way too :)
All i can say is, that the Plastic Buckle in the Front is the most stupid design choice ive ever seen,. I Really like the Vest but that Buckle is such a bad way nowadays . Imagine you get caught in your BMP somewhere and that Buckel breaks - Ends up making your whole Vest useless....
