I love how Dimash is into this performance. I love the vocals, the interpretation, the acting... everything! Dimash is a legend already, he is music royalty! 👑 Great analysis! Love from 🇲🇽
Merci, Dr. Marc Reynolds! Bravo, Dimash!
What I love the most about this performance was his eyes and face expressions.. He's telling me the story of the song, as if he was dr. Jekyll and mr. Hyde himself.
Dimash acted out Jekyll and especially Hyde perfectly, with his voice, his positioning and expecially his eyes. The evil Hyde look he would come up with was just fantastic! Earlier, he went from Hyde to Jekyll in one sentence with his eyes. His posture would change from straight (Jekyll) to slightly crouched (Hyde). In his voice if you know the story, you know exactly when he is singing Jekyll or Hyde.
Such an excellent presentation of vocal techniques. I was engaged watching Dimash body position , with his legs apartt then close them together as he reaches the very high notes, the moving back and forth of his left foot and the locking of his knees I had a strong idea that with these different positions while singing different octaves/ notes are giving him leverage of getting the right breathing techniques. Dr. Reynolds, your analysis makes my guess correct. Thank you. Dimash is a big picture to analyze . An excellent amazing artist!!!!
Before even hearing your comments since I have heard this song so very many times...I love his expressive face, eyes especially and how can you not like how he performs with that voice? LoL I say that because I make my sister listen to him and in return she makes me listen to country music. We both know what it is like to have to listen to the other's choices. **** knees would have been so out of place, not even talking about the comfort level. I do think he drops easy but I also think if we were not so enmeshed with his music in such a short time the knee thing would be just fine. It would show just how much passion he is putting into his music. Lots of singers have things they do. I don't mind his knee dropping at all because I am feeling his music by the time he gets there. I have noticed his foot stance in many of his videos and wondered if it meant anything, glad to hear why he is doing it. Thanks!
I love, love, love this song and Dimash’s darker side ! Oh, my! I had to listen to Lara Fabian’s performance of this. She and Igor K collaborated on this and some other sons as part of a series! Thanks for your expertise!
I LOVE THE WAY YOU ENJOY THE MUSIC AND DIMASH. V THE SONG IS SO BEAUTIFUL. I APPRECIATE YOU REACTION AND EXPLANATION OF DIMASH'S BODY STANDS IN REFERENCE TO HIS PERFORMANCES. THANK YOU FOR SHARING.
I loved the atmosphere as a whole as well. It really added to Dimash’s vocals. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and reaction with us. I always feel I learned something new. 😊
My favourite part of this performance is when he's singing "I'm ready to surrender" and then the breathtaking look in his amazing eyes and his facial expression when in the second chorus he's singing "I'll kill Mr. Hyde". And of course, the last bit: "Now you're Mademoiselle Hyde". His evil side had planned and played it out so perfectly and his poor victim had gotten right into his web. Now, it's she who's cursed..Gosh, I just love this brilliant song!!!! Igor is a genius and Lara Fabian's lyrics are amazing...Also, I thought that the orchestra and the background singers did a great job, helping to creat that haunting atmosphere... Thank you for your fantastic reaction and analysis, Marc! Much appreciated, as always.
I love his acting in this performance, how he's playing with the two characters, dr Jekyll and mr Hyde. You hear it in his tone who's singing at the moment, you see it in his posture, his facial expression. My favourite chills moment is at the end of the last soft chorus sung by dr Jekyll and just at the end, you see mr hyde peak out when he looks up and it's just pure evil 🤣
DIMASH Only does FANTASTIC!!! His performance was AMAZING. 🇰🇿🇰🇿🇰🇿🤵🇰🇿🇰🇿🇰🇿 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 One thing I'd like to add...you don't have to dissect a butterfly to know its beautiful or understand how a bird sings to enjoy it's song. Just my opinion ♥️
Great reaction Marc - wow ! Dimash is a born story teller, and his medium is music. , he weaves a spell around his listeners that pulls us into his world from the first note to the last. And it's not just the music and lyrics; he does it with everything he’s got - from his facial expression, his eyes, his hands seemingly plucks the notes from the air, to his stance, I've always said Dimash doesn’t just sing a song. He becomes the song. And if God has a voice I'm sure it would sound like this !! Stunning, simply stunning. Thank you from New Zealand.
Thank you Marc ! As always interesting analysis. I agree very much about the background . The other thing I did not think was interesting to me .Thank you for using Dimash for example ( background) ☺ It was a pleasure for me. Did you hear Love is like a dream ? Have a nice time and mood ! Best regards from Bulgaria ♥️🇧🇬♥️
Every performance of Dimash is very fascinating, and I love your professional analysis of him, very comprehensive.I learned a lot of music knowledge from your reaction, I also know more about how talented Dimash is! It's lucky to know him, and it's lucky to watch such a professional music teacher like you analyze this kind of vocalist.Thank you very much,Dr. Marc!
What a duo. Unbeatable? I wonder how Dimash will look on the big screen some day...a musical drama perhaps? Thank you for the explanations of body positioning. I watch his videos with a different set of eyes now.
Very professional performance. To me, it seems like Dimash is the best pure vocalist in the world. He is good at song writing and playing instruments yes, I am aware. But in my opinion, he is the best vocalist alive
I think my favorite part was the combination of the singing and the atmosphere, It was all gothic-sounding to me, kind of eerie, & fit with the theme in the song. Thanks for your great explanations of things like foot positioning that lay people like me would not necessarily think about.
Very informative reaction, thanks so much! Love the way Dimash gets into character in this performance. Perhaps he watched Lara Fabian's performance. Great ending with the high note and long hold. Thanks again Dr. Marc 👍 from California
YOU are a real teacher thank you because you are not only doing the reaction to this video .... thanks for explain things that maybe the majority of people who admire Dimash can’t see.... and now talking about my self not only love Dimash for his voice or because it’s a complete artist now I can appreciate all his body language thanks!!
Thanks for an informative reaction. I loved Dimash's whispering voice and his Bel Can to bits. Extraordinary @ 👌👏👏👏❤ Superb vocals as always and emotional delivery. I love Dimash ❤
Dr. Marc, please react to Dimash singing Daybreak in his Bastau Concert. So many things to learn from there. Always enjoy your Dimash videos. Thank you!
I love everything about his singing I love how he's improved in his English and the way he expresses his music. So it's hard for me to tell you exactly what part I love.
Dear Marc, here is a tip...for every Dimash' performance I like to listen to fancam upload because it gives feeling as if I was there. Sometimes the quality of the sound isn't great but it's still amazing.
The way you were speaking of how we place our feet and how we stand while we are singing, is exactly the way I was instructed when I had vocal lessons. I started singing on my own to Stevie Nicks many years ago. I audition for a musical when I was 16 because I wanted a chorus part. I got in the call backs & I was not an actress, but a vocalist & I could play five musical instruments then. I went to callbacks and when the cast was put up, I landed the lead. I was hated!! I was a 16-year-old and these adults who desperately wanted the part in Oliver twist were not exactly pleased. I learned how to act and I was given a dialogue coach but I caught on quickly. By the time I started singing, all of the haters shut their mouths. I wanted so badly to tell them that I didn’t ask for the part. I was put there & entrusted that I was going to do a good job. You’re absolutely correct on our body positioning!!!
Probably the most in-depth explanation of all little things. Thanks for that lesson, Dr. Marc, its good to know that many of these moves if not all of them have rather technical reasoning behind. I mean, I like when people do things not only emotionally, but also efficiently, and so Dimash does it, as masterful as usual. :)
Once again a great reaction and analysis!! Glad you're still doing Dimash😀! I liked your explanation of his stance...that's something I've noticed he does often and wondered what's the object of doing it...so thanks so much! Give his "adagio" performance on singer 2017 a look if you want to really see him throw it all in the ring!!😀😀😀😀❤
Hi Dr. Marc. What I like about Dimash's performances is how he coordinates vocal styles and techniques, emotion, facial expressions, memorization of the lyrics and now body positioning and body language, and manages to pull off a perfect performance while keeping track of all these things while he's singing with his 6-octave + voice and hitting all of those insane notes! Your analysis and that of several other vocal coaches makes me think that he'd have to be a genius who has been classically trained for many years and a very gifted performer to accomplish all of these things, in other words, you all let us see just how hard it is to sing like he does. Subscribed.
Hi, this is the first time I've listened to you and I enjoyed your info very much. I love Dimash he is so unique and very schooled. I loved the song, I love the way he sings it and I particularly love those menacing eyes. I love that he uses his entire body as well as the mike, He really is a magnificent performer.
Thank you for the interesting analysis! I often get detracted by the background singers if they look uninterested and do not support the perfomance mood.
Hi Mark, I enjoyed your reaction including the information and techniques you offered. I simply adore Dimash. Dimash is like some mythical character who emerged from within a diaphanous swirl of starlight. He is skilled on so many levels! I can totally see him in a musical or opera! Speaking of which, I saw an opera last year about a Narcissist entitled, 'Me Me Me Me Me!' The lead was also terrific in Narcissist and Goldmund'. 😁🎶 Sorry, I couldn't help myself. 😱 I am hoping you have a good sense of humor. I agreed completely with the color contrasts you used to exemplify the feel and texture of this performance.
As usual your analysis of this was outstanding. I am learning SO much from you. I don't comprehend how you notice all the aspects of the performance in such a small amount of time. While I am mesmerized by Dimash's chilling, evil portrayal of Hyde, being drenched in his beautiful voice, you are noticing lights, colors, little things off the the left or right, foot movement. hand tension, status building, lighting on the costume and what it means, subliminal cues to the audience, and of course all the internal things Dimash is doing with his vocal chords, micro muscles, and diaphragm, etc. etc.. You have increased my appreciation of Dimash immensely, and it was pretty darn high to begin with. Wow. I can't thank you enough. Also REMOVE that old picture of you in the circle on the right hand side. Its not flattering, and you are a handsome man.
Nebudut, ne smogut ispolnjaty yego standart.
I love how Dimash is into this performance.
I love the vocals, the interpretation, the acting... everything!
