- This song is about the town of St Ives, Cornwall and was originally written at the request of the local shanty group called 'Cork an Barbor' for them to sing during their performances.
However due to Covid they've not been able to do that of late so this is a version I've recorded myself at home, the video is also home made but edited by Steve Parkins, Perth W.A.
Some of the references in the song are very specific to the area so we've included some of my photographs { plus a few vintage pics } to help explain.
