This ranch is running cattle ALLAN SAVORY STYLE!
Jerry and Laura Livingston are the owners at Serenity Valley Cattle Co. Serenity Valley Cattle Co. is a ranch in upper East Texas that focuses on intensive Rotational Grazing. This 1100 acre ranch has been extensively cross fenced for their intensive rotational grazing program. The cows are moved to fresh pasture every two days.
At Serenity Valley Cattle co., they have split their 420 cows into 3 herds. In keeping with their intensive Rotational grazing scheme, each herd of approximately 140 cows is moved to a fresh pasture every two days. This rotational grazing program has allowed the Livingstones to maximize their landbase, carrying 420 head on 1100 acres. At the end of 2020's grazing season, the Livingstones were actually faced with a surplus of grass on their 1100 acre ranch.
Today we are giving you a look at how Serenity Valley Cattle Co. works their cattle. The cattle is sorted on horseback then castrated, vaccinated, tagged, and dewormed.
