The diff is that if you miss a landing and you burst your head on the hardpacked snow of the landing, you'll probably won't die if you don't wear an helmet, but the diff is that it'll save you from severe brain dam and save you from being a vegg for the rest of your life... And there's no statistics on how much concussion the helmet saved.. These days helmet are so comfy and fashion that if there's a only chance to save you from an concussion and screw up the rest of your ski season,it worth it
