- One of the defining features of Human Peasants, is their ability to come together as a team and erect buildings extremely quickly, but at a cost of gold and lumber... Well, what if I told you that with good micro, this powerbuilding feature could be completely free!

So in this game :
- Microing town hall building instead of army during fight
- Building the town hall to tp on it while having mass tele anyway and already being here in the first place
- Mass tele away from the town hall so you can tp back on it, but failing to do so
Magnificent
And also not using milita as soon as townhall was finished. This entire game / strat made no sense at all, when the point was saving like some hundreds of gold, when he had plenty in the first place (he spent it RIGHT before building the town hall just to show he can do it with less) AND was playing an all in anyways. lol
@@RichyRich2607 i don't think you can call arms from a town hall when you have a higher tier cc somewhere else
@@Number1139.0 Ofc you can. Just watch Grubby's "MASS MILITIA TELEPORT ASSAULT".
@@Number1139.0 this is true, you can only call to arms on your starting town hall, but can on any other keep/castle.
yea not really a good video, wasn't entertaining
As soon as I read "exploit", I thought of AnnoyingWarcraft3. That guy is a legend.
Really disappointed he hasnt uploaded in so long. Hope he chooses to return soon, my second favorite guy to watch some really entertaining wc3. The weirdest strats are as fun if not more to watch than 'pro' games for me for the most part
@@NopeNopeNope9124 Mechanical critters > red creep encampments.
I really had no idea he watched AnnoyingWarcraft3.
That guy is great.
His micro/macro isn't that great but his knowledge of the game is really good.
Honestly he often defeats opponents purely due to the fact he understands the game a lot better and understands how to respond to different situations.
Grubby casually pulling up a data sheet mid game and interpreting it mid game without missing a beat is LEGENDARY 😂😂😂
Havent touched WC 3 in about 20 years, suddenly youtube starts throwing me Grubbys videos, and man I didnt know how much i needed the nostalgia lol. Keep up the great work :)
You missed out, before Reforged it was the best thing ever cause of the custom games. You even had anime RPGs (just to show you the extend) and so much was better than actual games. Base game is also solid of course!
Same here. Started playing again yesterday 😂
@@douglascruz1843
Its honestly simply timeless and games nowadays dont even look better. Like Stormgate xD
Same!! And I'm not mad about it at all
16:24 Everybody in 2020 when Covid hit
😆 🧻
This vid is just like the Greed Island arc of HunterxHunter episode where they spammed Accompany On the entire episode. Peak content (iykyk)
I loved the shoutouts between AnnoyingWarcraft and Grubby. I also loved how FunnyWarcraft started a lot of the exploiting, but AnnoyingWarcraft took it to another level, ( hence AnnoyingWarcraft).
Man, if I were that undead I would think powerbuilding a town hall with a full group of peasants in front of my face and then teleporting to it as I'm going to break it is some kind of next level bm or smth
During the course of the game of about 23:30 mins Grubby teaches his opponent that he will be coming by over and over again and tp out (or die). So it is good to have that in mind.
Also Grubby: 'He's in my base. Oh, he is tping again. Jesus. He always has tp for some reason..' :o
Anyone else absolutely SCREAMING "Firefly" at 8:25?
16:23 It was at this moment, Jackson knew he f-ed up
Im glad Melon is back. IDK about that Grubby guy.
Melon is actually Grubby
Looks like a solid strategy.
Amazing strategy, I was in awe of how effective it proved to be!
Firefly, classy reference. Character Nishka
Looks like a valid and interesting 4vs4 strategy to me.
brilliant new meta: From townhall mass build exploit straight transition into gg.
18:05 -- it's actually about *32* or so..., *NOT "about 30-and-a-half"* like G said... :P
.
When I watch the gameplay, I like to create stories and drama in my mind about every encounter. Like in 9:28 when the archmage was holding on to the fiend wave with all his prowess, while 2 lethaly wounded footsoldiers, while hanging on to dear life, they bravely fought their last breathes to keep the skeleton from raiding the commonpeople.
Peasants running among death and blight to keep supply lines operational all the while they are being sieged. True heroes...10:04
HQ be like... okay gentlemen, the plan is we will build a knight wall to let the masonry team to erect a base in the heart of enemy lines...
- But sir.. how do you plan to eradicate the scourge?
That's the neat part... we don't!
That was a perfect game, dear sir.
Thank you so much for this display!
How can it be a perfect game when he forgot to buy tp and died?
I'm sorry Grubby! I haven't been watching for a few weeks now. Steam has my favorite RTS game available! Red alert 2!¡!!!!!!!!! It's bundled with 2-4 for $30 CAD! It got discounted another 50% for $15 CAD! I not a good RTS player but this game was part of my childhood! You did inspire me to play RTS games again. Your teaching are serving me well.
23:38 -- *"He always has TP for some reason..."*
Gee... I _DO wonder_ just *WHAT* that reason might be... ~_~
...
me today after playing around 15/16 years of wc3 im 19 (trust i have goated parents) i just learned you could assign units to a group with shift + #
thats actually insane that u didnt know that
Not so goated parents they should’ve thought you that at least 😊
@@andrewjoakim3690 for real haha
2:30 ,,.. knew this my whole life .. cant remember a time .. where i didnt knew this
The quote is from Adelai Niska in the series Firefly.
Wow, so cool. OP strategy!
I was pretty sure the engine calculated a hot chance of 67%, not a miss chance of 33%. This means your PRNG hit chance will actually be less than 67% when cursed. This is how it works in DotA 1
Yeah WC3 uses a lot of pseudo random distribution, where the chance of X happening is lower initially and then increases every time X doesn't happen. Computing the average gives a lower chance than stated indeed. It is done to reduce the probability (and, given enough tries, avoid completely) of overly long streaks of X happening or not happening. It's done with evasion/miss, crit, bash, pulverize and pretty much all the random based abilities.
I'm pretty sure that's called entropy-based. Path of Exile taught me that term, and it seems that all warcraft games use it
@@danieldaponte1819 I'm familiar with how PoE uses the term, but never thought about how wrong it is in that context before now. Entropy is just a physically based seed, it has nothing to do with how the algorithm then generates the random event. At any rate, warcraft 3 is older than PoE and the term we always used (particularly during Dota days, as it was more relevant there) is pseudo random distribution, as opposed to true random distribution which, as the name implies, is true random (as true as computing based rng can be anyway).
Could you make a game by always switching between 2 army type.
1) Full Aerial ---> Go do 1 big fight... until every unit is dead.
2) Full anti anti-Aerial (Like good ground units that rushed the enemy snipers/archers) --> Do the fight, no retreat.
3) Full Aerial gain
--> So you opponent is just lost on what he wants to build against you after each fight.
And never attack the main base. Let his main mine go out of gold, and don't let him do good expand.
Grubby has TP ultimate which can bring him to any unit or building anywhere. Builds Townhall with gazzilion APM to TP to it. Does not TP to it.
His deathknigh is called "Lady" xD
I found out it myself, just noticed that time gap, and tried by chance... It was long ago like more then 5 years, never realised nobody knew it....
8:04 firefly, but you said it wrong :)
it still amazes me that you don't zoom out at all when you play
When I first learned of HU start / stop build - It was great.
Tried it a year later and it took extra resources but made no progress. (opposite effect) I figured they fixed it.
Now in this vid its working again? So confused.
Does latency affect this?
You’re teaching the kids dark secrets! Stahp!
I have a qquestion^^ When there are female deathknights an Demonhunters, why there aren´t male darkranger, wardens and POTM??? ;) Thanks for your great content!
when he explains it for 3 min but then starts an expo and looks away not microing anything xD
I've never seen this strat lose until now
I want to see this build strategy timed. I'm not convinced it's much faster
The point is to save resources, not be faster
Not the TP! Xd hilarious moment.
I feel naughty for watching an exploit Grubby, tee hee
oh my god i know what this is i cant belive grubber did this
AnnoyingWarcraft3 is how I discovered Grubby :)
What if 33% percent miss chance is coded as 66% chance to hit? Then your real chance to hit would be ~56% based on the chart you showed. Definitely seems more right ;)
17:28 I remember you could have 100% crit chance in Guild Wars 2 but still not crit sometimes.
The only game I know that always stays completely true to its maths is Monster Hunter
Same with WoW, because mob defense calculations. In Wc3... id guess its not a 'pure rng' rng
I found Monster Hunter World annoying because it didnt tell me any actual numbers for anything, and just provided a lot of vague ideas of what things would do rather than any specifics. Are the other games not like that?
@@monosophy691 Youre right that World is annoying in this regard because its the only Monster Hunter that lies about weapon damage, other Monster Hunters dont do that. I just meant that calculating damage in Monster Hunter is very transparent, if you multiply all weapon and armor values and monster weaknesses, you will always get the same number you would get in game. I feel like other RPGs have unpredictable hidden gimmics that complicate calculating META builds, for example
Could you use the same tactic to tower rush??
Idk much about competitive wc3 but wanna know why +1 is not researched until mid-late game?
That's so funny when someone is using little beasts for spying! And usually no one can even notice it xd
Remember when peasant building was linear? Ridiculous time.
Banshee: 33% of the time you will miss everytime.
He can't keep getting away with this!
Technically, the power build still does cost extra. The extra cost is micro.
a guy beat be by attacking his own town hall and then repairing it and gaining gold. I saved the replay but never understood exactly what he did
I f'ing LOVE annoying warcraft. No offense, but he's my fav WC3 youtuber. You're def 2nd grubby :P
the chance to miss 3 times in a row is 1/27 or roughly 4%
lol double miss on the healing totem classic cursed knight behavior
Bro.
Call to arms and mass teleport!!!
How did Grubbys goldmines both collabsed so much earlier than the ud ones? Was the constant harassment really like 2k gold worth?
What is imaple? Maybe impale?
17. min mark crushing lol
Tier list when?
todd howard, it just works!! haha
Pro strat
First time being the first viewer of a video. :D Keep up the good work grubby.
Grubby, probabilities don't work like that😅
what a game haha :D
shoulda just turned peasants to milita THEN TP.... OP tactic.
How do you get controllable sheep/pigs?
Human shop
You can't. They're really robots
What's the name of this map?
this UD is hurting my brain...
Yo man I tried this in 4v4 bnet but the resources spend immediately.
If I visit The Netherlands can I pay you standard rates to be my tourguide for a day? Somewhere local to you. Maybe one day if you come to NZ you can play on my shitty ping.
Yay
why did not you call for militia as soon as you had townhall? :(
You can't militia to a newly built TH. You have to upgrade it to Keep or Castle.
If you had tped to main and then tped back with 14 militia would have won on the spot
خیلی خوب است بفهمی هم گروهی تو گروبی است...
Why wouldn’t you always use this?
so... only human can do this and i don't get why blizzard never fixed this issue, isn't it imba? i mean... i bet it can be fixed easily, it's as if blizzard kept it there for a reason, an intentional gameplay flaw to use casually
ahahaha i forgot tp!!!
Finally a not orc game! :D
This made no sense for me lol. :D
Why even bothering about saving some gold, when this move was a all in anyways and you had plenty in ur bank too? Doing this trick on you expansion would have been way way more usefull.

hello Grubby, have you tried the peasant mine control trick where you mine the enemy gold mine to prevent enemy peasants from mining?
@Grubby My Latin teacher got mad at me for using "rinse at repeatium", my class laughed at me, and I dropped out of school.
Very funny video

Funny
that strategy was stupid, i glad it do not work at all
Didn't you break game actually? 😆
I wont break the 420 likes limit. But ill tilt comments to 69, sorry

Your always a little too greedy. Missed getting to your offensive town hall by 1 second. Missed killing his mine by 1 second.
Annoying Warcraft game :D
Well played. Jesus loves you very much. Make some time for Him as well and read the Bible, friend. You're awesome.
This kind of games and videos sucks and are painful to watch
What an ugly game 😅
That's not how percentages work. If you have 33% chance to miss an attack and make 3 attacks, *each attack has 33% chance to miss and there is NO carryover between hits!* It doesn't matter how many times you attack, not one single attack has any impact on the following, or previous attacks. There's no magic storage that remembers that you attacked 2 other times and missed both of those attacks, you just got super unlucky and each attack rolled dice that made it miss due to the debuff.
You're experiencing "The gambler's fallacy" and human brains love to see patterns in everything, regardless of the existence of a pattern.
You sure sound smart, too bad what you wrote is wrong for warcraft 3 which uses PRD (Pseudo Random Distribution) which means it modifies the chance each roll, based on whether the previous roll succeeded or not (and how many times), to avoid streaks of bad and good luck. It does not guarantee a hit after a miss in curses case but the chance of two misses in a row (which happened twice while the archmage was cursed) is indeed reduced compared to normal rng.
How do you write up all that and not bother to do the most basic of Googling for Warcraft 3's randomness system?
gamblers fallacy deez exceptionally long data sets suggesting otherwise
@@Tyrlinn Is there more specific break down of wc3 p-rnd implementation?
