*Why are there so few prizes in each machine?* Here in Brazil, the machines are LOADED with stuffed plushies... and there aren't only one or two
It’s because the prizes are higher quality and more expensive than random plushies
There's still a lot of prizes, usually lined in the back or hidden under the machine. They are high value prizes and often require a special gimmick technique to get the prize. The clerk will reset the machine after each prize win.
Here in America claw machines are often left unattended so they need to have enough stuff in them to last until the owner comes by to check. In these Japanese stores there is a clerk nearby to refill any machine that runs out immediately, and also they want to make sure no one person can win too many times in a row on the same machine
As soon as someone Wins the attendants come and refill
Some are limited one prize per claw machine per customer
