Although i only Philippine airlines A330s and A340s and its actually quite rare to see a Boeing 777 300ER in Sydney. Believe it or not, it is now operated by an A321neo. The longest flight of an A320 family. The 777s used to operate Melbourne and Sydney routes is now switched to Vancouver, San Francisco and LA. Even Toronto got the 777s, becoming one of the longest flight worldwide. The A340s are long gone from Philippine Airlines, now being replaced by A350-900s. One of them flies to New York and back, nonstop. Just an update.
Love watching 777s, such beautiful machines. Do you know or have noticed the trend of PAL sending A340-300s and Boeing 777-300ERs to Sydney? Which ones operate what days etc...I've always wanted to fly on a PAL 777, but I've only ever flown on their A320s and old 737s:/
PAL once became a best airline back before in its golden age in 60s-70s time. PAL was subsidized by the Philippine Government that time. until one day PAL loses its reputation and falla down. All of these is because of the greed ambitious of negociators to gain money in a diffrent way, negociators only thinks how to gain money fast but didnt think how to prosper it. Its a regretful thing that PAL wouldnt possibly come into this situation if only Cory Aquino didnt sell it to private sector. but now it happens. you can see PAL is 3star only yet PAL is amazing airline. you can search in the internet how PAL became one of the best airline back then before. Goverment should take it back from those privata sector. its a shame for the image of our motherland that PAL is privately owned by a half chinese man, Lucio Tan.
You know why it was in the hand of private owners??? Its because the government before suffered an economic embargo because in that time... Marcos stole those money. I'm not against marcos😂✌✌

Flew with them couple of times but all I see are "robots" working fast and efficient without emotions. On the other hand PAL struggles to upgrade itself while it's people are passionate and doing the best to compromise with their aging equipments and facilities. 😊

Philippine Airlines is owned by the wealthiest brand in San Miguel Corp. yet is lacking a lot of things in its fleet. NO IFE SYSTEMS (EXCEPT 777's), CAFETERIA QUALITY FOOD, STILL HAS FUCKING A340s!!!. They need to up there game, man. They have one of the friendliest cabin crews, I'll give them that, but PAL is nowhere close to a 5-star airline. No alliance wants PAL because they fucking suck, and this region is already full of alliance members so it conflicts with other alliance member airlines.
I 100% agree. The only non stop flight from hawaii to manila is the shitty pal a340. What am I supposed to do for 10 hours? Contemplate about killing myself?
