Some are NOT from the 80s but from my childhood, but mostly from the 80s, this is mostly about things I remember from being a kid in the UK in the 70s 80s and early 90s..
Here is just a selection of images from the 80s that I remember from when I was young, from toys to TV adverts to music and movies. The music is: The Human League, Don't you want me baby. Most of these images will only be familiar to people from the UK. - Розваги
Who else misses the 80s and 90s 😩
Me :(
Maybe if people started acting nice and started using old technology
reminds me of a happy young time thanks for memories, great vid
Best time to be a kid, I had my ZX-Spectrum, Raleigh Chopper, Adidas kick (Missing a few stripes) and my Sony Walkman and everything was good in the world.
You musta been feckin loaded to have all that!!?? I remember getting a Raleigh burner one xmas... wow it was like Jesus Christ, the best xmas present of my life for a ten year old
Top notch. Happy and sad at the same time. Great years.
thanks very much ,tears in my eyes ,remembering happier days when life wasnt a stress ,i wish time had have never moved on from this time xx
Totally agree with you Phil.
I miss the 80's and my teenage years. If only time travel was real eh 😕
that is a brilliant Montage!i remember every single one of those!
Brings me back my childhood wish i could go back there again good days
Best days of my life. I was only born in '81 but I remember these magic times way better than my adult years.
I moved to the US when I was 19 in 1991... This is exactly how I remember England.
+itchy robot I did the same to Australia at 16. Same here. :)
+itchy robot Stay there mate because this place is a dump now.
not worth coming back
Thanks Faeden! Such memories. A time of innocence. I miss my childhood So much!
haha opening with the young ones. that show was awesome. Neil rules!!!
The Young Ones, used to watch that British Show all the time. This was a great video, took me back in time.
Amongst one of the best ever UA-cam ive ever watched, almost every different mini clip took me all the way back to a very seldom visited place in my subconsciousness mind that is labeled 'indulgent memories of a young me'
I loved tubes bring em back!!!!!!!!
many thx, fantastic vid,, gosh they were the days,, 80s music 4ever
Brilliant! Brought back many memories. Some other suggestions include - Fame, Deely boppers, leg warmers, Daley Thompson, Liverpool FC, Airwolf, Mr T, Krypton Factor, Tales of the Unexpected (or was that the 70's?). The list goes on...
TV-AM opening titles always does it for me - great childhood memories!
Ah yes, what a classic decade...drinking a can of Quattro as you watched Rent-a-ghost on the manually-tuned TV your folks got from Rumbalows...and the Milk Tray adverts, well, what can I say apart from totally INCOMPARABLE!!!
Wow im starting to feel old! Some great memories there, thanks.
the late 80s/early 90s seemed so easy
I remember Dickens! I used to love going when I was a kid! They had the pick and mix by the exit and a giant play area by the entrance! I used to love it! Now it's a B&Q and all the magic is lost. Used to go there for christmas decorations and fairy lights, and would come out with a big pick and mix and a refreshers bar! :)
I WANT MY TEENAGE YEARS BACK! 😭 I miss the 80's
So many memories, great days ;)
Gotta love the 80's!!!!
Salute you Skip.
The sly dig at Liverpool FC.
Nice one lol
i remember all of it being born in 75,best era for music, films, originality is the 1980s 100%
i really enjoyed this so much, made me smile for a change, thanks so much.and ps dont let people put you down, you know its all good ok x
Oh my goodness.. Rumbelows! Thats where i got my first proper stereo from with fast dub on it lol. Brought back some good (and bad) memories, thanks for the upload :-D
Born in the class of 1978 here....knew most of it, though WE didn't have BBC.....from the west of Ireland....great vid.....remember Bigfoot 4x4 TV commercials (AD's) from the time, got one from Santy, but unlike the ad, it conked out in the water
great memories
Excellent!! Really enjoyed that! Thanks xx
Excellent, thank you!
Wispa bars are back on sale again in the UK. Cant stop eating them. I broke my leg in 3 places on a bloody space hopper bouncing down concrete steps in the early 70's as a child. 6 months in hospital in leg traction was not fun. Great sound track one of my favourate songs of all time. Thanks for posting video
Love the way the rainbow crew are in a video shop right infront of the adult section! lol
0:57 The Acid House movement - now that'll never be forgotten.
A lot of great memories there! A ZX Spectrum computer.......i remember you had to attach a separate tape recorder to it to play games. I remember the noise it used to make when it was loading. If there was just one game that you wanted, u had to stop the tape at the right time - OMG how technology has changed!!
Always wondered why MARATHON was changed to SNICKERS - WHY????
Thanx for posting this!!
thanks this brought back some very happy memories for me :) xx
thanks for making me feel old
Great compilation.. Well done, and thanks!
OMG.. i love it.. it thought it was gonna be a load of crap from the states but it aint.. i loved the 80s i wish i was this age (26) though so really enjoy it.. love it
Oh yes. I remember buying One 2 One top ups for my cutting edge Nokia 3310. And Quattro was an awesome drink. They should bring it back
what a great video brilliant thanks for posting it... 10 out of 10
Great video....brings back memories..
Brilliant! Thanks! Want one!
great cool bloody clever
I love the 80s too. It was the best. I'll never outgrow the 80s and I don't want to. I'm riding down the street blasting Karma chameleon and Girls just wanna have fun. The children hate it. I love it.
National Rail "we're getting there" - they would never get away with such ad nowadays!
chews n busby phone wow!!!!!Brilliant clip!!WD and tyou!!
Brilliant
oh man... stig of the dump...
you just made me smirk..some one else remembers stig
Great video! I used to love the Chewits ads, always made me laugh! Belinda Carlisle was hot, Adam Ant is now old and looks it too! And everyone's favourites, Bagpuss and Rhubarb and Custard!
The bike was a Raleigh Vektar. Spoilt kid up the road from me had one (he also had an Omnibot) and then sold the bike to my brother a few years later. We had it for years but don't know what happened to it in the end. Just remember the thrill of listening to the radio and seeing what speed you were going!
It sucks I was born in 1989 and missed most of this awesome decade.
loving it!!!!
The Eighties rocked!!
That my friend is (what us kids called) a 'Computer Bike'; they made all sorts of siren noises, were ridiculously heavy, had displays that never worked for speed etc..and loads of dangerous wires trailing from them but they looked brilliant and made crazy siren noises when you pushed a button which is what really mattered. I can't remember their official name but they were just awesome! Pity I never had one :(
Besides thatcher and the several inaccuracies, there was a lot of good memories there.
God. This video really takes me back :)
Being an Everton supporter I never like to miss the opportunity.
3:16 Oh God, I remember when the trains looked like this! God, I feel old...
Can you remember the sound of the doors closing? Not a bleep or wooosh sound to be heard. Just a good hard slam and click sound.
They were miles better than modern trains. All wooden panels and a dusty smell. Great 👍
Thanks. I enjoyed that.
I love that the cast of Rainbow are in front of the adult section in HMV.
There was a good programme done a couple of years ago called Electric dreams, showed a family from present day growing up over 3 decades 70's 80's and 90's
Let me guess - you were born in 1976? Love a bit of nostalgia, that was a good mix 8-)
The 80s - the last worthwhile decade...
i was born in 70, and i believe that watching Muhammid ali knock people out, really excited me
I want the 80's back
@Faeden I remember those BT cards, I used to collect them! the early ones had the strips and they were replaced by the ones with the chip instead, sometimes they still had unused credit on them, I love the picture of the Marathon bar, really brings back memories.
Thank you very much :)
great!!
love it! lol!
A good selection of snapshots; however I've noticed some (e.g. Mr Benn, the Thames TV skyline ident, Roobarb, BBC test card F (with the girl and clown), etc were around in the 70s. Well done including TV-am, I'd call that a true 1980s TV ident. You could on those grounds have also included the Central ball ident which appeared a lot on the network 1980s onwards, or the 1985 style COW BBC1 globe; plus TV shows such as Bullseye.
im only 27 and i really miss the 80's... is that weird? i think i just miss my childhood lol
great so many memories ; smash; mr benn; morph and monkey !! friday nights trying to work out what it was about lol

I was thinking the same thing, they are definitely mobile top up cards!

Yup and I remember having the game on my Spectrum 48k!
My therapist told me the 80's is my era.... So I aint never leaving it!
If I ever come across or invent a time machine.... you are all invited to come with me back to the 80's!
Nice!
agree.. well said
Close, 74 :) Thanks for the kind words.
Smith's Tubes OMG I miss them!!
Great vid....now please build a time machine so we can go back to the 80's......
Good post, I was born in 1964 and most of those pictures ring a bell, one that I had forgot was the packet of "Treats" a prior incarnation of M@M's.....where did all the years go?
quality mate
good job
This gets a thumbs up for including a shot of The Little Vampire lol! :)
Good work
Funny how I see the ad for Soda Stream here, I remember seeing that when I was 4-5 "1989-1990", yet they show the ads for the current one, and act like it never existed.
Love the British Rail claim - 'We're getting there'. It's a bloody shame they never quite did.
I'm impressed.....You're in Presto!
very nice m8 just put on myfacebook ty wxelllllllent job do some more !!!! 5 stars thank you.
@katakisLives Thanks for your kind comments. Them phone cards are not mobile cards, they are prepaid credit for public telephones. And your right, I do not think they were around in the 80s, but they were in the early 90s.
Good job!
