    Definitely right about Sigmas not being under anyone's thumb. I had a high-status position of 3.5 years at an excellent national company. I had done so well that the most prominent magazine in that industry had written up my work as an example for other companies to learn from. My boss, maybe feeling threatened by my success, hired a dumb supervisor to clamp a lid on me, then acted shocked when I quit. After I left, the department failed, and the boss and the supervisor were fired. They thought I was so comfortable in my position I would sit there and take the abuse, but I was out of there like a flash. The boss knew he was a walking dead man with no one left to do the work, and he pleaded with me on my last day to stay, but by then I'd already taken the other position. A smart boss would have known that's how I'd react, but this one hadn't been around long enough to understand the Sigma personality type. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have quit, but would have gone straight to the President and told him what my boss was doing to hose up the department and let him sort it out, because I had rights in the company too, not just being obligated to report to my boss. But, as a young Sigma, I did not know that, so I just walked away. I did well after that, so no complaints, but I wish I'd known about other alternatives to ask for relief instead of doing the Sigma thing of just leaving in silence.

      So I identify as a sigma male or infj
      ....not to cringely identify with a group but identifying myself as an Individual...my question is how much nature vs nurture plays a role in this? Genetics vs upbringing? It's not hypothetical...share

    • @alansewell7810
      @alansewell7810 6 місяців тому

      @@matchu.j I think it's genetic. Humans evolved a variety of mental templates as an evolutionary necessity to provide the full spectrum of mental attributes required to sustain complex societies. The four main templates are emotion, sensation, imagination, and thinking. Each person has one major template and a couple minor templates. I believe Sigmas are a common name for the "INTP --- introverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving" subtype. There's no question in my mind that these are genetically engineered templates, because everything "Achieve Greatness" says in these videos is exactly the way I react to life's circumstances. Others have made similar comments. This could only happen by nature, not by upbringing.

      A revelation for me as well. I didn't understand why my nature is so contrary to consensus until I was in my 60s. I just knew what decisions were right for me. One of them is being at the top of my own economic food chain and not dependent on an employer for income. I worked only 13 years for employers, which I didn't like due to their power to eliminate the employees' positions when management fails, or to make arbitrary changes to the workplace conditions (such as moving office employees into dark warehouses to save money) beyond the employees' control. I spent the rest of my fulltime career owning a business and retired at 46 when I had enough money accumulated so as not to have to depend on employers or customers. I'm sure many work-driven people thought I was insane, but by not being tied to an employers' job, I have been able to do things during the best years of my life that other people only dream of. I did not waste my life being chained to a desk and being arbitrarily berated by egomaniacal superiors who didn't have enough sense to do real work. I'm sure work-driven people thought I was crazy to retire at 46 but there wasn't enough money to pay me to waste the 19 years from there to conventional retirement.

      Idk & idc if I'm classified as a sigma but I do know I was in the military and I obeyed orders because it's part of the job. To be the most effective soldier requires us to follow, until we are ready to lead. Doesn't make me any less of a sigma, if I even am sigma.
      I actually don't align 100% with sigma or any other male archetype. But I will follow orders if I'm paid to follow orders and/or if said orders make sense to me.

      I worked the system while I was in the military. I was in the Reserves so I had a lot of options to move around and into different jobs. When I had bad superiors, I figured out a way to change my job by going to other tech schools and finding other positions within my unit. I spent as little time as possible with people that annoyed me, on and off duty. I had 9 different job specialities over a 29 year career. I would have gone to max 33 years but the military was already getting too woke for me by 2014 so I bailed out. I had reached the limit of my patience for stupidity.

    The problem with people who like to identify as Sigmas, fail to understand that Sigmas are introverted through choice, unlike them. They may disagree with something and think _"I'm a Sigma."_ They don't understand that Sigmas are people who don't seek validation for what they do. They don't seek praise and worship and again, this is what many fail to understand. You won't ever see a Sigma in any of the entertainment fields, because those within are controlled by their ego and there's nothing they like more than going to their award ceremonies, effectively saying _"look at me? Look how wonderful I am?"_ Sigmas excel but not because they seek praise. It's simply the perfectionist within them that looks to understand everything.
    99% of people who think they're Sigmas are not. The majority will most certainly be incels, nerds and geeks, thinking because they're different, they're Sigmas. This is the reality. And again, I'll emphasize; you'll never find an actor, musician or a sport's star who is a Sigma. Those industries are dominated by alphas and betas. _"But Keanu Reeves is a Sigma......"_ - nope. He's just an introverted geek like Henry Cavill. People see the characters they play in the movies they do and equate them to them. Like I said, you'll never see a Sigma bask in the limelight of Hollywood or some music award. They hate them. They can't see the reason for this idol worship and people really don't get that. And what people really don't understand is that Sigmas see straight through what the film and music industry is. It's Satan worship. It's a very evil place and most, if not all within are such. Sigmas have a strong, moral compass. They are good, inherently and seek to do good. That's what makes them dangerous. They're chaotic good in fact.

      I would largely agree with what you have said. However, the reason Keanu Reeves is often cited is because of the character he portrays - John Wick, it's the character rather than the actor himself. Sometimes, people get this point confused IMHO.

      Yes. That's also what I stated: _"People see the characters they play in the movies they do and equate them to them."_ Keanu and Henry are both alpha males, albeit more reclusive in their endeavours. Keanu's older and wiser and does tend to stay out of the limelight far more, but regardless, people fail to see he's a real alpha male.

      When I was younger, in my twenties, I worked on the doors in prestigious venues in London, UK. I started with Film Premiers before moving to bars and nightclubs. I really got a first hand look at these people and those who associated with them and intrigue turned into loathing. All constantly sought validation. It always amazed me as well why people worshiped them, especially when most had nothing but loathing for their 'followers'. They just play their game. I have no respect for actors, really. They spend all their life being someone other than themselves and do whatever the highest bidder tells them to do, even when they're acting a lie, as most of them do. That's what Hollywood is all about - promoting lies.
