When you visit Prague and engage with concert life there what I think you will find is that Brixi s name is a bit more current because he was active in Bohemia
This composer isnt´t well know, because he simply does not have the necessary marketing to fill concert halls, being a genius...it is incomprehensible...

By saying that they are from the same Bohemian region, I think that there is a similarity in style. There is also a similarity in the way the melody is carried, and Josef Mysliveček, who is five years younger, may have been influenced. His Cello Concerto in C major has many similarities to this Viola Concerto by Frantisek Xaver Brixi. In any case, I think that composers of the same age who come from the same place of birth come to have similar styles to each other.
