I was looking my c6 and just saw the body lines of the c8 in certain angles. Crazy how GM has retained that “corvette” shape it’s so sick!!

Can I ask you a question about the process? I preorder my C8 but when should you expect the manufacturing cost for the vehicle, and how long did you wait?

Richard Molina Your dealership should have explained all of that to you if you have ordered through one. Mine was 11 months from order to reception. It’s too complicated of a process for me to explain here. Good luck.

Saw your review with Clarences C8. I’ve had mine for 8wks now and love the car with exception to the attention it draws. I love the DCT transmission and I drive all the time in M and I downshift which is different. I know you couldn’t really explain it but to me it seems as though the downshifts are a little more firm and you feel it with the braking it creates along with the sound of the motor and in most instances you get a body bump or push from downshifting. It’s really more like downshifting an actual manual transmission in that regard but upshifts are silky smooth and the pop you get in the exhaust is phenomenal on upshift especially 1st to 2nd and again 2nd to 3rd. Downshifting the gurgle or burbles sound good too. I drove outside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway hours prior to the start and everyone was looking, pointing, taking pics and videoing the car. It was a good feeling as they all knew this car, the C8 was the Pace Car for the race. At the stop light a Gate 1 a guy came over and talked to us while snapping pics and said he loved it but it was quiet and he couldn’t hear it. Being in manual I pulled the paddles in and revved it and got a smile from him. Personally I’d rather have a little bit more of a louder sound at all times but not an obnoxious sounding car. I also don’t want to loose my control of the valves. Overall I’m very happy, no known or unknown at this point. Had my first OTA update and waiting for the new one for the frunk. Speaking of which, i wish the frunk was like the rear hatch with a soft close, wish the paddle shifters were fixed at 9-3 and though I ceramic coated my entire engine bay where water wants to land when it comes in, I wish the rear glass vents had a cover that looked great while still allowing air to escape and water intrusion next to impossible. Ceramic coating the cladding around the LT2, the motor cover and other areas helps tremendously and water spots are a non issue for me. Brakes dust is problematic! I have new wheels coming soon and they will be ceramic coated like the car has been. Did it with my SixGen SS and the wheels always looked great so I’m hoping for the same results. Keep up the great videos and looking for more content relative to this car. I know you may be on the later end of C8 info but somehow I feel yours will be more informative based on what I’ve seen from previous offerings from others and you seem delve into things more openly and from logical points of view vs trying to be first with content or parroting what others have already said. I just feel more informative content is forthcoming from you and I’m subscribed and locked in!

Have to agree on the attention the car gets. I tend to stay to myself and hate to be rude to people. Yesterday I was at the gas station parked on the side lot area and returning back to my car and a guy ran from the pumps to ask what the car was and what year was it? He was shocked and I could tell he wanted to engage me in further convo but it was probably evident I was in a hurry to go. My wife gets a kick out of peoples reaction to the car and how they're just blown away by it. Even she has ridden more in this car than she ever had ridden with my in my previous Six and Fifth Gen Camaro SS's. Overall I love the car and all that it brings to me for it's price point, options, design and technology!
Keep up the great videos and plant to watch what you do to yours and see if there's anything I need to think about. I've already Xpel'd the entire front end, fenders, hood, A pillars and forward roof panel and headlights, paint correction and polished and then ceramic coated with Trinity SB3, ceramic tint, edge red motor cover and I've switched my OE wheels for VS Forged brushed titanium wheels.
You mentioned the DCT and upshifts are smooth as butter and love the sound of the exhaust when it pops on shifts but on the downshift the DCT seems to be a little stiff or harsh! It's really hard to describe other than the car seems to react to the downshift and you know you're down a gear especially from second to first. I tend to find myself shifting down form 5 to 4, 4 to 3 and 3 to 2 and then just allowing the car to do it's thing to first gear most times. Sometimes the jerk of the downshift can be annoying I suppose but I love this car! I've had mine now for 11 weeks and I'm just under 1000 miles. Seems like it took forever to get through the 500 mile break-in period but I managed and did a launch and managed a 2.9 sec 0-60 which was a phenomenal rush!
Enjoy the whip and looking forward to the next clip!

After 13 months from reservation to delivery the 2LT C8 Stingray basic delivered on 8-6-2020 has just over 2.2k miles on the odometer and I just finish a 400 round day trip to Dallas Tx and pulled 28 mpg and yes it was worth the wait. Yes there are conversation at traffic lights and every stop becomes a One Car Show. You better make your way through the Corvette Academy Videos Corvette has on line so you know as much or more then everyone that wants to see the car up close and personal. The stock exhaust is loud enough because no one is going to keep up long enough to hear It anyway. I broke my C8 in by working my way up from Weather through the Z Mode. In Track mode you may never see the C8 cruising in 8th gear but if you want to use Track Mode you need to go find a Track and not waist 6th gear and all that torque. Without launch control and traction control off the tires spin and it wiggles like a Mustang but only pulls 0 to 60 in 4.0 seconds flat. The the launch control delivers on the 0 to 60 promise of under 3 seconds. Be sure to do a proper brake in. 500 miles to open the Tachometer and 1500 miles before you go racing. It is worth the wait!

Cool video man, can’t wait to see more 👍🏼 I guess my one question is, how do you like the new infotainment system from Chevy? I know with everything else going on with the car, this question might seem a little insignificant lol. I’m just curious to hear your thoughts. Earlier this year I purchased a 2020 Silverado to replace my ‘08, and coming from being used to Dodge’s UConnect in my Challenger, I’ve actually been really impressed with the new Chevy system. It’s been really smooth, responsive, and has had no glitches/freezing. I’ve been able to use CarPlay and Bluetooth without issues. I know the C8 is using the same system, but of course that car has extra settings/features for it being a sports car.

I'd be interested to hear what parts of car got PPF & how much did it cost? I've got an HTC coming & I'm deciding on whether to do the whole car in PPF & ceramic or just the front, sideskirts/rockers & rear qrtr panel.

Old NPP dual mode exhaust trick - there's a fuse somewhere. PULL IT!

I was thinking about that 👍🏻The fuse box is a little more complicated to access now lol. Not sure if it will cause any other issues, but I heard a lot of people did that on their C7s without problems.
