solving this issue requires a digital way of buying and allocating land to people. all lands in Freetown must be entered into a database for easy identification and avoid double ownership on any portion of land. this can be achieve through the use of GIS. i am a professional of GIS and that is the modern practice of land management. i am also a Sierra Leonean. how do people like us get to put such ideas in play is a question that remains to be answered, hence diaspora.

But isn’t Freetown overpopulated why can’t people move back to the provinces and develop those areas to high standards, where people can live and work and the government has to help and decentralise the capital so things are spread around the country not just the capital. They need stricter rules in place and better education so people don’t just do what they like. You can’t do that elsewhere!!

Please be very very careful, an American who returned to SL and built a house was confronted by a gang,with fake papers and told they owned the land so the house was theirs he resisted so they shot him dead. They got away with it and now live in the house. Also be careful of offers to help, you are very likely being set up. I lived in SL for 3 years and know them well.

They did my mom the same she had to fight it in court and finally by the grace of good the government gave her another land
