I've had P04444 and P0455 in that order. How I fixed it 1. Get new gas cap 2. Change Purge Solenoid 3. Change Vent Solenoid 4. Take a look at the canister, some dude said that the charcoal can possibliy get into the lines! You'll have to shake them out and I'd get a new canister. Then lastly, if it's still giving the code it's possible for the fuel tank pressure sensor to be bad. My symptoms for my car were as follows: At gas up my car won't turn over! I had to really slam on the gas to get it going! I got a new gas cap, had the same problem. Then I changed the Purge Solenoid, voila! I could gas up and the engine was turning over! But a few days went by and the P0455 came back. It was Vent Solenoid time!
@@juniper_booper thanks. I replaced the purge first. Then gas cap. Then vent valve. Just to find out the replacement purge was junk and not even purging. Put oem back in. Just last week noticed my gas tank was rusted and seeping gas thus probably loosing pressure / vacuum. Replaced tank from junkyard. Still getting a code from purge. I tested purge and has some vacuum when should be closed. As long as I can get around emissions after reset ecu I’m ok. Just a pain in the ass battle with this car. Never had I had any issues with evap on all my cars.
What problem other than engine light is the engine experiencing? My 2011 Accent 1.6L stick shift stalls after fill-ups but after several restarts and forcing high RPM's while riding the clutch to get moving, it stops stalling and runs fine until another fill-up. Reading the Hyundai forums people are saying the same condition happens as mine and they corrected it with a new Canister Purge Valve/Solenoid. This is what I plan on replacing first.
i have the same code saying high purge flow but my car isnt experiencing any symptoms, everything runs fine, no stalling after filling gas or anything. just the code. what could this be?
@@BulliKid I've replaced fuel pump. Tank, purge solenoid, canister close valve and gas cap all oem parts still get P0455. Ughhhh. Ever find the cause of your check engine codes?
@@BulliKid I had to replace the purge line from engine to canister with nickel copper line. I also replaced 2 fuel lines to pump and brake lines to rear. These Kias rust big time. Use smoke machine to find leaks.
I replaced the front solenoid, behind the engine, last summer. Had the problem where it was hard to start after filling with gas. Light went away but came back just this week. Pretty good run, but now it's back. Wonder if something else is causing it to fail. Maybe I'll replace that one again along with the one you show in this video. What do you think?

Mine doesn’t start it just has the light on I replaced pretty much all event things aside from the canister and still check engine light is on
Did the valve fix your problem?
Nope

Maybe bad valve. This car has no symptoms also
You ever end up fixing it ? Heard it could be a simple gas cap as well ?
I replaced all emission pets and still get errors. Smh
I changed cap too

Did you ever fix this? If so what did it end up being. Do you remember what P codes it was giving you? P0442 0449 maybe??
No. I replaced both evap and another sensor and still is on.
will these cause hesitation and stalling on idle and initial acceleration?
Possibly. But unlikely.

If you had a problem filling up it’s the rear one. The vent solenoid.
