I love Jennifer Hudson. She's so talented. I love her voice. Her talk show is fun to watch. It reminds me when people like Dianne Carroll and Hazel Scott had a talk show. As for a hit song she has a few hits. Coming up with a formula is a creative team issue. Also some labels may not see Jennifer's voice as marketable. That could be another issue.
I thought the same about her creative team, but it appears to be lacking, or she was possibly signed with a label who shelved her.

She needs better songwriters for her albums. It's shocking that she's never worked with David Foster who's written/produced epic ballads for the likes of Whitney Houston (Bodyguard soundtrack), Toni Braxton (Unbreak My Heart, Spanish Guitar) and Celine Dion (The Power of Love, To Love You More)

I think the main reason why she hasn’t sold as much is because she doesn’t fit societies look or what society want to see she’s not like skin and she doesn’t have a light colored eyes or mixed I believe that is the reason because she fits the category like Whitney Houston her voice is amazing versus all the other singers who does not seem like her are getting selling records because they look like what society wants to see
😂It’s kind of strange as soon as she blew up and she married that guy I can’t remember his name he was an ordinary guy who loved her she didn’t want them anymore due to the fact that he wasn’t making as much money she was so she decided to cheat😂
