Amazing! Please eventually get to finishing the entire planets suite, I would love to hear a full metal rendition! Rock on, dude! The world needs more talent like you in it
I think I made a comment on one of your other videos about what planets wouldn't take well to the guitar. I'm delighted to be proven wrong. You have me looking forward to hearing Saturn and Neptune!
I was, at first, a bit opposed to the idea of this being played on guitar, but you absolutely DELIVERED none-the-less!!! Goosebumps everywhere!!! You've earned a sub my friend! Beautiful guitar too.
Amazing as always! You are the living proof that the sound of a distorted guitar is one of the most beautiful sounds, an instrument can have, and can fit in everything!
Holst kept writing for over 20 years after the planets, but never pushed the envelope again. He wrote only stodgy military marches. He was embarrassed by The Planets.
Dear Joe, I hope you're having a nice day. You know, I'm hooked into classical music for quite a while. I've been trying to share this music to my friends, but they just dislike the orchestra, don't know why. My favorite piece of music is the Symphonie Fantastique by the great, eccentric and fabulous Berlioz (Hence my username. The 1830 Is because that was the year of its Premiere.) I hope that one day you will make a video covering this awesome piece. Again, have a nice day!
This is fabulous. I particularly loved the sections where the guitar is playing the harp lines (esp in the last few minutes) and that famous cello entry. Really hoping you'll do Mercury. Kevin.
Very nice, you magage to create the different colors of an orchestra just with guitars, i'm impressed. What do you think of Holst's military suite in e flat ? I'm wondering if it how it would sound arranged that way.
Great playing as usual! Though, I personally find the distortion a bit much. Did you do that mostly to get more sustain (have you considered using an E-bow) of for the actual sound?

Joe Parrish is the Isao Tomita of guitars
THIS. THIIIIIIIS.
YES.
Mercury would be super fun too!
This is awesome. I am looking so forward to Saturn, aka the first Doom Metal song.
2:56 - I felt like I was being gently carried away into a room full of gauzy curtains. That resolution!! You truly made those harmonies shine.
My favorite series!!💗
This channel is so much fun! I love hearing these songs on guitar. Keep up the awesome work!
Amazing as always. Would love to hear your version of Saturn at some point!
Thanks man, I'm sure I'll get round to that one at some point.
Don't forget Mercury and Neptune!
Saturn's the best one
Excellent.
Love it.

these covers are so good I am convinced you can somehow make a heavy metal cover of a lullaby and it'd be just as relaxing
This moves me to happy tears.
Glorious! I wanted some peace anyway 😂
I love Venus in both the piano duet and orchestral versions, because of the calmness it gives me. This is totally different.
Awesome as usual! New guitar?
Thanks man, yes indeed, it's a Schecter
Beautiful!!! thank you for sharing such a beautiful arrangement and your talent :)
Very nicely done! It reminds me so much of Isao Tomita’s version 😊
Excellent work!

Nice!
That s my zodiac sign so beautiful , Thanks !!!
Can you make a full Playlist of The Planets?
Awesome job! Maybe add some vibrato for the long notes? But dang man, fantastic project and execution, first rate!
I want to see you cover Mahler symphony 2 5th movement
“The bringer of peace” for the goddess who caused the Trojan War… oh Holst.

If Steve Reich is still alive you need to meet him and become BFFs.
he still is
Do you happen to have tabs/sheet music for any of your planets arrangements?
Unfortunately not, I read the parts straight from the full score as I record them, so no guitar-based part is ever written down.
perhaps this piece should be played on an acoustic guitar, nevertheless an excellent performance
What amp was that in the background?
Very good. Your planets suite are one of my favorite renditions.
