What does everyone persist in judging the Intrepid purely on its ship combat ability? There is more to Star Citizen than dogfighting. If I want to go bunker Running then I would much rather have a ship that holds my weapons and when a new player want to visit Pyro, a ship that is fast with good range and lets you bedlog will be very useful.
For a Starter ship a Noob should be enjoying all aspects of this unique game, trying out as many gameloops as possible, and staying away from GRIND at all costs. Many players seem to ignore the Core gameplay element that costs basically nothing and thats EXPLORATION, yet with a ship such as the Intrepid, you've a agile, spacious capable little tourer, which is easily able to cover the cost of the basic sundries. I have a Titan, will always have a titan along with a Cutter Rambler, excellent little ships, yet this should be an indulgence, no other game offers what Star Citizen currently offers, its meant to be fun, not humdrum, unless you make it so. Excellent overview pal.
This ships pretty good for illegal missions. You can store a pulse in the cargo bay so you can disable comms arrays. ALSO you can house a storage box for ammo and stims and food. Any loot aswell. I mean what more can you want. I think it would be a good for many other things too. Extra small hauling missions. As for space combat youll be doing vlrts-mrts to grind your first mill anyway. From that point surely if your gameplay loop is space combat you'll be saving for your gladius or whatever
I think Vaughn's missions are great for more experienced players, but I don't think they're the best fit for beginners. It can be tough to manage all the different things you need to focus on when you're just starting out, like grinding for reputation and keeping an eye on your crime stats.
just switch it out for regular bounties, might take a little longer but I only have the illegal missions rep on ptu so thought let me see what this little ship can do even against bigger ships
I am a newbie and I also saw on reddit that it takes approx. 8 missions per rep tier for Vaughn and it only took me a few hours. Also, my guild told me that I can just log off after every play sesh in prison so I can serve my sentence and it's worked out for me.
So... how many "beginners" do you think have Vaughn missions that high? *MAYBE* show the nebwies the kinds of things they will actually start doing, like box missions, small cargo runs, bunker runs etc. to build up their funds, *and get a better ship than a starter.* This is a ship comparable to a Cutter or C8X, not a Titan.
bro you miss the point, the point was to see if you can do a mission that high with the ship and still make money. I grinded my rep from zero to where it was with just a titan so wanted to compare the starters
@TheCoreGameplay hey nice ret-con. I mean that genuinely lol, I wasn't trying to be a jerk about my comment but realize it could have come off that way. I applaud you sir for taking it as it was ment, constructive criticism. You have the right attitude, keep it up my friend.
First, none of those have enough QT fuel to make the jump to Pyro, since it requires 1M. The nomad is a much larger ship and will definitely be more expensive, so it's not really a great comparison. Titan and 300i are good in combat, but they have less cargo space if you consider off-grid, less than half of the fuel, a much smaller living area, and external components making it harder to do engineering. Also, they will most likely be more expensive, since the Intrepid seems most like a Cutter Rambler competitor, which is cheaper than both of those. If you want your starter to be a short-range light fighter, sure get the Avenger of 300i, but its not like you'll be doing top tier bounty/vaughn in any of the starters anyway, since they dont have enough cargo space to loot. If you want a ship to actually fill the starter role: live out of, get around with, explore, and try out most game loops, the Intrepid is a more solid choice.
@@alieninvaders1188 You could do them if you dodge well enough, but its gonna take ages and you won't be able to loot. For ERT you want at least 70 scu of cargo space and good firepower, so you should look at something like the Taurus or Corsair. If you're going on the cheaper end, I'd say bare minimum for ERT is the Cutlass Black, but profits will be less since it doesn't have as much space.
semi experienced players will probably be able to put this ship into good use, a day 1 new player probably will struggle :D But ship looks very nice and has good ammenities on the inside. So ship will def be useful to pick up cargo and loot.

I agree, thats why I bought the Intrepid as my first ship. I love it.

@TheCoreGameplay the commenter is correct. You mr click bait titled you video for beginners lol.
@@codycooper816 I see, then it's the "beginners" word that's throwing people off, I'll swap it out

@@TheCoreGameplay Ahh yes, *much* better now. Won't draw in newbies on their free fly and have em all confused :D
Nice Video!
Wonder if the drake cutter is better since it has an open cargo bay
No, an avenger is still so much better. Or a nomad, or a 300.

@@igorborracini5722 Can the intreped do ERT missions? I'm saving up the credits for a ERT ship with good dps and storage.

Hey I have the same rep in Vaughn as well as the same enemies but I don't get weevil eggs. Do you grind until you can find enemies that holds em?
Keep grinding sometime the game doesn't spawn any cargo. I usually try 2 times and switch servers
Old ships do not have new interface and can't select bed log.. how nice
Even a cutter can fit those 4scu boxes of weevil eggs. This ship is such a joke. Only good habitation but the rest shames crusader
