- Ever heard of Columbus Bay, it’s a south western beach in Trinidad & Tobago, well Trinidad, what we consider “Deep South”, and well based on the title you probably guess how it got its name, anywho in this one we explore the bay itself so join us my Trinbago Vibes peeps as I also show you the drive to get there, well the major parts of the drive and not the entire drive itself, also we explore part of the beach and not all 4km of it, although some drone shots will cover those parts we didn’t walk to, kinda

Beautiful. Visited about 50 years ago. I remembered my parents took us on top of the rock to see Venezuela. The climbing to the top of the rock was fun

Hi, Trinbago Vibes, i enjoyed the video thanks for the information. I visited Columbus bay when i was small, i remembered the waters was calm and the water was very clear. Sad to see how the beach is eroding and how people are leaving the beach dirty. It is one of Trinidad and Tobago beautiful beaches, people please take pride and keep our beaches clean and beautiful. Hi Ranjeev, great video. The part by the mangroves where the rocks are, it actually had an arch, I say about 10 years ago. Really beautiful. After years of erosion it is gone. Google some pics of Colombus Bay with the arch you see it.

Columbus said let's get out of here that's the sepernt mouth, when the Orinoco river came up, that's one of the thee 🚢 ships that over turn, I were not there but that's History, or and that thing out in the ocean is the Salado rock believe it or not, watching 😀 from Bellrose NY

Great video! The rock you climbed on, people often go on top there to fishen from on the peak. @13:37 The "bridge" you crossed to reach the rock, there is a super dangerous underwater current if you fall in there, despite it looking calm. It can carry you out in the ocean fall. Alot of people died on Columbus Bay due to extremely strong currents. Alot of them have not been found to date.
Thanks and yeah, that’s why I had to emphasize the warning at the beach, and never underestimate the underwater currents

Same here. Furthest I've been in the South West Side is Vesigny, Clifton Hill & on the other side (Palo Seco).....South East (Manzanilla, Mayaro & Guayaguyare)....I NEED to visit this side 1 day.

With regards to the "litter" on the beach,... I am very sure that ALCOHOL WAS NOT A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR. 😉
I am also expecting someone to motion the idea that the litter washed ashore during high tide.

Evening, and yeah it’s a possibility of long shore drift that the trash would pile up, and intoxication may play a role as well, but we need to do better with our environment…have a great one as well

They are called the 3 sisters, I'm assuming they were once part of the headland that got separated as a result of erosion over time, but that's just a theory

I agree. What I LOVE about his content is how diverse it is featuring.... SOCIAL/Financial experiments, foods/restaurants, hotels, museums/historical sites, festivals/fetes, beaches & other sites.
Are those, the flying fish? I didn't know about Columbus Bay. Either the secondary school Geography or History textbook deleted it back in the 1960s, or I zoned out. I had three years of Geography only, because I had to pick between that subject and Math for GCE O Levels.
Is any of the trash washing ashore from Venezuela? Also people who don't belong there, might be discarding their trash.
Possibly flying fish, but those types are normally located on the north east coast of Trinidad

I am very ashamed to say i confused the three sisters with the trinity hills . Yes i know that is so dumb .The Trinity Hills is north . Where this confusion come from....🤔🙄 Ok . The Atlantic Ocean is on the eastern part of Trinidad, this is the south western and still falls within the Gulf of Paria, even if you move further south it’s the Columbus Channel…check over the map of Trinidad

The North side of the Island is the Caribbean Sea, The East and Southern side is the Atlantic Ocean. On the Southern Side the Atlantic that hits our shores is Locally known as the Columbus Channels. Your Map you reference is wrong. "What are the bodies of water around Trinidad?
Trinidad and Tobago is an archipelagic republic in the southern Caribbean between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, northeast of Venezuela."
You do know Columbus bay is north of Icacos right, thus by your own terms of reference it falls within the Gulf of Paria 👀
