The bluefish are in for sure. I’ve been through several bait due to them biting the tail off. But we take the good with the bad. Definitely not complaining 👊🏻
I'm going to miss fishing Murrells Inlet this year. We aren't taking our annual vacation due to health issues with our older son and our younger son getting married. Looks like the flounder bite is already fantastic!

Hey there! Long time subscriber here, I will be fishing murrels inlet next weekend April 27 and 28. We will launch from public launch next to neptunes. I have a Carolina skiff 218 DLV. My dad will be with me. You are welcome to meet us at the launch at 6;30 am Saturday or Sunday morning and fish with us! We have fished the inlet half a dozen times and have had good success! We would love to have you with so that you can share your knowledge !

Oh I didn’t realize there was a tournament that weekend. Do you think that will Impact our fishing success in any way? How many boats do you think will be in the tournament?
@Jackson-hi2yi not sure how many baits are signed up but it is one of the bigger tournaments of the year. The ramp will be crowded but the fishing should be good. You will probably have to do alittle moving around than usual. I e been catching flounder at creek mouths so target those areas and you should be well.
So there are two areas Morse Landing or Oyster Recycling Center. I did make a video breaking down the landing of Murrells Inlet. Give it a watch. It should help you. 👊🏻

What lbs test line do you recommend fishing in the inlet.?? Enjoyed the video.
I use 10 lbs braid. With a 12 a 15 lbs mono leader.hope this helps 👊🏻

What should be my go to bait while fishing in the inlet
I like a 4” paddle tail on a 3/16 oz trout eye or a Vudu shrimp. Both work well. 🤙
