I am obsessed with Simone Rocha so naturally I did way too much research and made a video dedicated to breaking down every detail of her fashion design style and trying to emulate her runway collections with outfits made up of pieces from my own closet:) We’ve got biographical background info, we’ve got an analysis of key Simone Rocha design elements and related aesthetics, we’ve got entirely thrifted outfits??? So inspiring 🦢 Simone Rocha’s silhouette is so particular I never thought you could recreate that by thrifting!
Just for further information on her dad, John Rocha used to be a really successful designer in the early 90s late 80s after having a tough time earlier on. However, his brand got watered down when they started selling their diffusion line at less reputable retailers so he stepped down from his brand because of it and eventually the retailers that ended up keeping his label afloat stopped carrying them. Basically what happened to him is exactly what happened to Burberry at the same time, he just didnt have the ridiculous funds that Burberry have to bounce back
Edits for spelling 😇
I think she has one of the most recreatable vibes because of all the historical references and heavy layering. Great video! 🦢
Never heard of either Rocha people before but wow it’s a whole new world!!
you're my absolute fave creator on yt rn... been waiting for this and did not disappoint! love this format and would love to see more
(Continued) who has a regency aesthetic. When I searched for Simone, your video came up. What luck! I loved it. You presented ideas for recreating her looks that are so easy to access. Never thought the Simone look could be duplicated, but your cleverness demonstrated otherwise. I think your looks are more wearable in the real world than the runway looks. Can't wait to try recreating versions from my own wardrobe. Thank you for the inspiration. So glad I found your channel.
@@beepwrld thank you. I'll be eager to see your upcoming videos. Forget to mention earlier how impressed I was with your ballet slipper adaptation. That ribbon idea is so smart. 👍
OMG! Love S. Rocha and you nailed it. Love all the looks!
liz this video was top tier. never learned so much about designer fashion but i loved how you walked us through the influences and motifs and then showed us how to do it ourselves… so fun!
I adore this video. Thank you so much for the outfits
beep is at it again with the great content please keep this series alive ty
so inspiring. i am obsessed with the red and black look!
inspiring!!!! love this bite sized video and the styling as well. you've given me so much joy to try!!!
Such a beautiful, well done and well researched video, I loved it!! Definitely binge watching all your content rn
🦢🦢🦢 I love the analysis and the styling, such a helpful video!!!
🦢Cool and inspired, love it!
This is so inspirational, thanks!
Luv, luv your creations!!!!
Te black & red and the last one are really inspired. I’m not even into Simone Rocha’s aesthetic but I believe that you did a fantastic work. The very last one works so well in terms of proportions and layering. And the fact that you used the same colour throughout makes it really cohesive.
Love it! It's really inspiring me to give her aesthetic a go! There's something so special about it, the delicateness juxtaposed with the volume yet the simplicity and refinement comes across. It's a real expression of modern femininity and something I was missing in my regular wardrobe which is so classic but boring in contrast, this tells a story. And your interpretations of it were so helpful for me to see that. I liked look 5 and 6 the most! :)
Love the designer series! Simone Rocha and Minju Kim are not the style I would wear, but I enjoy your video and inspirations from them~ 🦢 I like the look 1 4 6 most, then I realized they are all kind of layering black and white.
I thought about Loewe when watching these 2 videos, it's not as romantic as them, but its playfulness popped up in my mind
This video literally inspired me to look through my closet and make all the Simone Rocha-y outfits I can, so thank you for jumpstarting my newest creative obsession! (Fr, this has been so fun!)
LOVE LOVE LOVE!
I really love this kind of video it's so interesting seeing you channel a certain designer! Also super happy to learn about an Irish designer as I am Irish too 🇮🇪 🦢
You did a very good styling job! Bravo!
🦢 love the outfits!
That was sooo great video!
I love the second outfit and the last outfit! 🦢❤️
🦢 always love these breakdowns
I've been stuck in a styling rut without inspiration on how to put outfits together, over the last few days I've been binging your videos and just I really love your content! I'd not heard of Simone Rocha before but I absolutely love this aesthetic so shall be going on a long research rabbit hole now!
You break things down well so it's easy to understand How an outfit goes together which I've always struggled to do for myself, and also how we can adapt it ourselves and you seem such a lovely and enthusiastic person!
I fell in love with clothes as a kid and then teen years made me so uncomfortable in my body I stopped caring about fashion cos it didn't feel like it was for me. I'm nearly 30 now and finally coming back to realising how much I love clothing. So thank you for your lovely personality and for teaching me new things and being an inspiration 🫶
officially a fan❤ greetings from Malaysia
last outfit is absolutely ethereal
I adore the all black look! you have an amazing sense of mixing-matching. I would loove to see a video on Versace, it would be super cool
Thanks for the vid. My mother bought me an asymmetric black skirt from her H&M collection, I only wore it once on my b-day 'cause it gave me "main character" vibes. Love the leather jacket and skirt outfit, I'll try to recreate it with my skirt 😊😊.
I wish you will do more of this style of video. I really like u're take on Minju Kim's design style. Can u go Rodarte? (esp with flora details and the english smocking technique of 'Star Wars inspired collection?
🦢 Very cool as Simone Rocha is on of my fave designers.
Simone works give you petite vibe and look perfect for short ladies..
For a future video, I think this would feel more complete if you analyze the hair and beauty styling for Simone. I think it's a big part of the look!
Loved this! - swan emoji :)
B.Jones Style posted a video today referencing the Netflix Bridgerton series as her thrifting inspiration and listed Simone Rochas as a designer
You killed all these looks. LOVE!
perfect video is perfect
Do you have the harness link?
~~~~~~~~ Thank you so much for this beautiful vid, it truly brightened my day.
Moschino pleaseee
I really love this concept ! A Gucci or a Jacquemus video would be iconic !
Did you come up with this concept (wonderful video)? saw it around often lately, but with another creator referenced. Your video is older though.
now try Fruit Magazine style look :3
I'm on my work laptop so I will just say *SWAN* lol
🦢
Simone Rocha: battle princess!!!!!!!!! Ahhh you killed it 🦢 🤍🤍🤍 when you were like “you know who else wears poofy sleeves and collars?” I literally said “me?!” (& then you said “clowns” and I was like ‘makes sense’).
Would love to see your take on Molly Goddard & Collina Strada!
🦢 ❤️
Trends generally come from high fashion, not the other way around. I'm surprised to hear you're not that interested or educated in the fashion industry when your channel seems to centre around fashion and styling. I think learning more about the industry and designers would help you learn more general tips for styling and clothing, and certain language that can be used in your scripts that can be more eloquent, especially instead of words like aesthetic/core. And the models walking for the brand only wear the clothes for the show and job, so a video title along the lines of 'how to dress inspired by insert designer or collection ' would make more sense. This concept of analysing hf designers and collections so to incorporate the look into everyday outfits and peoples wardrobes is a great idea, the first look is especially good too. I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers, and hope you don't mind the constructive criticism. :)
your design sense & practicality & interest are fabulous.
your sisters lack of information & uninformed over - zealousness
on the "supreme court's attack on women's rights" is both sad & laughable.
the US supreme court merely returned abortion rights to the state level where
they always should have been , without federal governments illegal over-reach.
it is now , as it always has been , a woman's choice. no one is going to die.
please stick with fashion.
Pity, I wanted to watch the video but instead of the models who disappeared soooo quickly I had to watch you, so thankyou but no more, far toooo much memememe
Liz, this video was so cool!!!!!
i've been casually interested in designer fashion recently but Simone's work is so enthralling, i can't help but become obsessed. this video is so informative and well done! plus, your recreations are stunning (i wanna steal your wardrobe lol)🦢🤍.
