Offered for sale is this gorgeous example of the very collectible R107 Roadster from Mercedes-Benz, a 1986 560SL in beautiful Light Ivory over Palomino leather. This immaculate car has been beautifully maintained, and runs and drives exceptionally well. The paint is excellent and original, and the leather and wood are in exceptional condition. It includes the original soft top, hard top, all books and tools. Mechanically, this car runs and drives like new, has cold AC, and the vent system is working properly. Sorry you are incorrect on 2 accounts. 1. The 560 sold in Europe and middle East.
2. The engine in the US 560 SL is the M117 967 low compression 9:01.
The 560 SEL and SEC's engine is the M117 968 with high compression.

The European headlights and bumpers are so much more attractive on this vehicle and why anyone would want to bother hauling up and down the convertible roof defeats me - the R129 chassis model is a far more attractive vehicle in my view. Nonetheless another nice presentation on what has become a very over priced classic car.
