Hey @XIMCentral I know this is a video about other game but I have another question regarding R6. Yesterday I tried to mess with my settings to comply with the mt system. I saw several people recommending to use privacy settings in order to prevent getting mt. Once I changed the vertical and horizontal value in game, I adjusted the y scale value in matrix manager. For some reason the movement and aim feels sluggish now. Can you recommend me something in order to fix that ? My DPI is 800 in manager and on my mouse Don’t really know what to do since I had no problem before using privacy settings but I was getting mt on a regular even with 50+ sab
Hey, it feels sluggish because privacy settings mean you reduce your maximum turnspeed. So you cannot turn as fast as before anymore. As a result it feels sluggish because your brain expects a faster turn when moving the mouse to the side (muscle memory from when you didnt use privacy settings). You must either move your mouse at a slower speed, reduce your XIM sensitivity, or increase the ingame sensitivity again.
I’ve been using for a couple weeks since the most recent beta. 800 dpi has been fine with curve and just a higher Xim matrix manager dpi. Appreciate the video, thank you
If i understood you correctly then that will negate the effect of the sensitivity scaling,. Using 800 DPI while its set to like 10-20 times more will prevent the sensitivity scaling effect from the XIM, which is one of the main sources of the AA boost from this feature.
@@geraldwaer3698 Hey, it wouldnt cause micro movements or aim assist problems, just a slightly weaker AA. If you want the full matutaiki effect id say dont use desynced DPI values, though the difference is not really large.
@@XIMCentralI've tested both and they feel identical to me. Is the DPI input not essentially just a shown sensitivity re-calculator that changes what you're shown on the app, with the curve and then subsequent re-tweaking of the overall sensitivity providing the "upscaling" effect?
@@Zombies8MyPizza The XIM sensitivity is a scaler, the higher it gets the more you quantize your aiming inputs. DPI therefore lets you leverage how much quantization you want to have. The XIM DPI value tells the XIM how much DPI your mouse runs on which is important for improving the calculation precision.
Most mice perform quite bad on very high DPI values which is why 8000-12000 is recommended. Any value in that range usually provides better results than a higher, or lower value. And yes matutaiki stopped playing with a XIM lots of years ago, he switched back to PC. But his config remains as popular and amazing as ever! :)
Thats totally fine and personally i would also prefer it like you do it. Not everyone plays better with max AA. If you already have good aim then more AA will make you play worse as it starts to work against you.
@@Chris_p_Bacon72how much do you sacrifice micro movement wise? Do you use Sab and other AA boosting or just the curve. Was thinking of doing the same thing

Friend, congratulations on the video, I can't wait to test it. Just one observation I wanted to make, was that if possible I could make a configuration for Fortnite, a lot of people play it, but unfortunately there is little information about it on the forum, mainly about a reinforcement in aim assistance. Yo xim do you think would win a pro xim matrix team on new gen vrs a pro overwatch league team? Also, do you think someone can get champion/top500 on an old gen console (PS4 and Xbox one)?
In the top ranks its less about aim and more about game awareness, decision making and such. So yes its very possible that an old gen player wins versus a new gen player. The OWL pro team will most likely win because of the reasons i just mentioned.
Hi Xim Central. Thanks for the video. I play COD MW3 on PS5 with wireless Logitech G603 and wireless keyboard via Matrix. And I don't understand how can i get the same speed of scope in ADS that I have in HIP mode? I saw this style on Matuitaki channel. Should I lower DPI Sensivity from 2500 to 800 for example? My mouse dpi set for 10800 and XIM Manager too.
Hey, do you mean the same overall sensitivity? So HIP and ADS are equally fast? I think CoD uses a 3,4 times slower sensitivity in the ASD Mode. So you would need to multiply your ADS sensitivity by 3,4. You can most likely look up the exact value via Google because it will also vary based on what magnification your scope uses.
Odin could answer a question for me, I still use the previous update 20240114, because at the moment I like it more, my question is the following, can I take advantage of this ballistic curve configuration in update 20240114, or do I necessarily have to update to the latest update to enjoy these benefits.
Hey, for the full matutaiki effect you will need the firmware with the new Classic Smoothing. But you can of course use the curve with older firmware versions too!
@@Dheeyssonn Matutaiki curve with standard smoothing 0-100-0 is awesome btw. Try it out maybe. Eliminates stutters while keeping mouse movements nice and responsive. the 0 on precision still has a small amount of base smoothing, and the 100 response removes that smoothing from your faster mouse movements. So it's great for reducing stutters while retaining responsiveness.
You do, i just didnt show that since this is personal preference. Some want to use the effect in both HIP and ADS while others maybe only in ADS or only in HIP.
Hey man I am really suprised how quick and often you answer your comments thats so amazing! I watched your video for dpi and cm/360 changes on the xim and you linked your dpi calculator for that if I wanna change my dpi to convert to thew same cm/360, but that link doesnt work no more and I googled some dpi calculators but I just cant seem to find the right method to convert my current senses to a new dpi, I use 4000 dpi on mouse/xim with 3.0 cm/360 on hipfire and 9.9 on ads cm/360, but I wanna change my dpi to 10800, what would the new senses be for hip and ads to have the same feeling? I think i am asking such a stupid question but I tried it myslef and just couldnt figure it out man ... apprieciate any help!
Most DPI calculators dont use cm/360 not a normal sensitivity value. cm/360 is inverse to a normal sensitivity. So if you increase a cm/360 you become slower, whereas if you reduce the value you become faster. So the exact opposite of a normal sensitivity value. As long as you correctly specify the DPI within your XIM config your sensitivity will never change though. It will always remain the same and you must not do any computations.
Yeah but it kinda doesnt make sense in the matrix, cause if I change my dpi to 10800 and I let my values be the same for hip and ads I will just become slower then before so I need to change those values to adjust to the new dpi @@XIMCentral
@@diamanddust4542 Hey, thats because the XIM doesnt change your mouse DPI. The DPI config value is just there to tell your XIM how much DPI your mouse runs on. You must also change your mouse DPI. Otherwise your mouse runs on say 5400 DPI but you tell your XIM it runs on 10800 DPI. So your XIM thinks your mouse runs on double the DPI it actually runs on, which means it overestimates your mouse DPI and as a result your sensitivity becomes half as fast. This is what you experience. You must change your mouse DPI as well, not just the XIM DPI value box.
@@XIMCentral Hey thank you always for the answers but I did change my mouse dpi first to 10800 and then changed my xim to 10800 and my senses feel way slower, so Idk if explain it wrong
@@diamanddust4542 Hey, that means your mouse doesnt actually run on that DPI profile, otherwise the sensitivity would stay the same. Try the XIM DPI Checker to find out on what DPI level your mouse is on. Without onboard memory DPI changes wont carry over to the XIM.
When using this config in a game with ADS do you still set it up the same way? for example on apex legends would you apply the curve and such to ADS sensitivity on the xim app instead of hip?
Hey XIM Central, just a quick question. Is it possible to make a rapid fire keybind in overwatch? For characters like Ash and Cassidy. So yeah? Could you make a tutorial about it :) thx.
Yes thats possible! You can follow my XIM Nexus Rapid Fire setup video, its the same process for Matrix. Just bind it to your mouse button instead for example! :)
@@XIMCentral so you would recommend the matutaiki for mw3 better ? Also can you use the matutaiki for pubg ? Or does pubg doesn’t have aim assist I forgot lol.
@@Asbel- PUBG doesnt have any AA so it wouldnt be beneficial to use the curve. If you want more AA in MW3 then yeah absolutely go for the config! Having a lot of AA is kind of a personal preference, so it is hard to say if its recommendable or not. Definitely give it a try to find out if you prefer more or less AA though! :)
If you want to benefit from the effect in both HIP and ADS then use it for both. By default HIP changes are inherited into the ADS settings so i did not show the ADS setup.
It means you use your HIP sensitivity in the ADS mode too. But since usually both aim mechanics are different, this doesnt necessarily mean that you have the some overall sensitivity between HIP and ADS.
For the real matutaiki effect dont use any of these. You can however use those if you further want to tweak the AA behavior. Since AA is a personal rpeference thing the best way is to try a few combinations and stick with what feels best to you.
If you are the real matutaiki, there are ten thousands of fans in the XIM Forum who idolize you and your aim. They even follow you although you switched to PC! You have created a masterpiece config that is still as popular today as it was like 5-10 years ago! ;)
I would actually stick with 0-0-8 since it provides the best balance between AA and mouse movement accuracy. If you favour AA over mouse accuracy then you can add smoothing via X-9-8 with X being your preferred smoothing value. And if you prefer mouse movement accuracy over AA then reduce the Sync value from 0-0-8 to something like 0-0-4 or so.

Try a more aggressive smoothing (0-0-0) or increase the polling rate from Standard to 1000Hz. Some games also offer ingame AA adjustment which would be the preferred way to adjust it.
@@XIMCentral Thank you for that, I'm just trying to emulate the aim assist that controller players get but a little bit less, my accuracy on mw3 is mid 20% im trying to do a 15% increase in overall accuracy
Both is an option! I just didnt show the ADS part as OW2 uses HIP = ADS. But if you want to benefit from the matutaiki config in the ADS mode too then yes absolutely, add it to the ADS config too! :)
The original config didn't use any smoothing cause the XIM4 (which it was created on) didn't have smoothing. So for the exact config, you leave smoothing disabled, 800 DPI, Standard polling rate and use the curve.
Yep do as stated above, but dont use 800 DPI. Instead run 8000-12000 as that results in a far better AA experience with XIM Matrix. So you get the matutaiki effect but iwth even better aim assist! You can add smoothing if the AA isnt strong enough yet.
thanks for the vid mate! The one thing that I would like to know more about is the DPI, and what you said about the ideal DPI being between 10 - 12k. I have been following the general Xim advice to stick to the highest possible DPI for best possible performance, which in my case is 26k. Would you be able to elaborate a bit more on the DPI point you made?
Most mice introduce a lot of sensor noise when set to DPI values above 8000-12000 DPI. This can cause more harm than benefit. So staying between 8000-12000 DPI usually prevents this. Also there are diminishing returns when using more DPI, at one point it barelly matters anymore if you use even more DPI or not.
I have tried inputting this into nexus but the gyro just goes crazy. Is there a copy paste for nexus on this? Or maybe can more nexus tutorials be done in the future please
Hey, you must divide the gyro sensitivity by 50 then instead of multiplying it. Nexus uses a normal sensitivity value whereas Matrix uses real world sensitivity values. So with Matrix you must multiply it, but with Nexus divide it.
I want to understand what you are talking about in this video, but I don't understand it because I don't understand English. Can you please provide me with a text in English?
Can I use a PS5 controller for movement and a mouse for aiming with the XIM Matrix? Back in the PS4 and XIM Apex days, I never really used a keyboard, I always used my PS4 controller for movement and mouse for aiming. Can I do the same with the XIM Matrix on the PS5?
Also, I noticed that to connect the XIM Matrix to the PS5, you need to use an Ethernet cable, and you don't really need to plug the PS5 controller into the Matrix. So, should I plug the controller into the port designated for the controller, or should I plug it into the keyboard port? In the Apex, I always had my controller plugged into the port designated for the controller, and the keyboard plug was always left unplugged since I never used a keyboard.
Your XIM will come with the most recent firmware, with that one it doesnt matter anymore to what port you plug your controller to when playing on the PS5! :)

Hello Xim Central, I've noticed that my aim with the Matrix is inconsistent ever since I got it (from the first firmware to the latest). Roughly 30% of the time, my aim feels "controlled" and "snappy," but the rest of the time, it's "airy" and "loose," which reduces my accuracy and the sensation of an aimbot. Is this variability an inherent property of the Xim Matrix? Despite trying various settings (changing DPI and smoothing settings), I can never seem to achieve that consistent, snappy feeling. Any advice on how to correct this, or should I just get use to the way it is? Thank you!
Hey, what game and platform are you playing on? And can you rule out network issues? The aim assist is also influenced by the quality of your network connection and will try to compensate network inconsistencies. So if you for example have a ping spike the aim assist will try to compensate that, which may make the whole aiming experience feel weird.

My DPI is 800 in manager and on my mouse
Don’t really know what to do since I had no problem before using privacy settings but I was getting mt on a regular even with 50+ sab
Oh i didn’t realize a mismatch DPI to that extreme offsets it. I didn’t notice any negative effects of micro movements or aim assist problems
Plz do a xim matrix config for destiny 2. Everyone is getting back for final shape
You said matrix is best higher dpi…. Does using 25k dpi is good or its too high
i tried this but syncro seems to be better for me in terms of movement/aim assist ratio with 10800 dpi.
Thats totally fine and personally i would also prefer it like you do it. Not everyone plays better with max AA. If you already have good aim then more AA will make you play worse as it starts to work against you.
Thanks man! So pleased this curve can be replicated on the Matrix.
Going to try this out on fortnite later.
Let me know how it works out for you! :)
It's insane!@@XIMCentral Needed to tweak sens a bit and adjust smoothing to my liking and now it feels very good, 👏
@@Chris_p_Bacon72 Awesome man, happy to hear that!
@@Chris_p_Bacon72how much do you sacrifice micro movement wise? Do you use Sab and other AA boosting or just the curve. Was thinking of doing the same thing
@@JimTimTha4th I'm using 16, 9, 8 classic smoothing atm, it seems to work well. I find more smoothing you get lots more AA so good for shotguns, ARs etc. but heavier reticle when sniping. Maybe about around 10 would be better for sniping if that's your priority?
best config to play with!! i lower the hip and ads abit cuz its was to fast for me!
Happy to hear that, and its perfectly fine to adjust your sensitivity to your preferred one! :)
Friend, congratulations on the video, I can't wait to test it. Just one observation I wanted to make, was that if possible I could make a configuration for Fortnite, a lot of people play it, but unfortunately there is little information about it on the forum, mainly about a reinforcement in aim assistance. Thank you very much in advance.

Hey, for Fortnite the same aim assist increasement strategies as for any other game apply. So it doesnt require any special treatment or approach.
Thank You again Bro!
Idk I set everything exactly like you said. My hip would be normal, but I’d be all over the place when I ADS.
Hey, you must adjust your ADS sensitivity as well. This step is skipped in this video.

This method works for destiny 2?
Thanks for answer and video!
Yes it does! ;)
Any reports from people of how much of an improvement this adds to the aim assist? Is it a minor difference or it is big enough to look sus??
There should be lots of experience reports in the comments.
Do you know if this works on the Finals? I have it active and I don’t notice much of a difference. I might’ve done something wrong though.
Hey, what type of aim assist is the finals using?
Odin could answer a question for me, I still use the previous update 20240114, because at the moment I like it more, my question is the following, can I take advantage of this ballistic curve configuration in update 20240114, or do I necessarily have to update to the latest update to enjoy these benefits.
I also have this doubt.
Hey, for the full matutaiki effect you will need the firmware with the new Classic Smoothing. But you can of course use the curve with older firmware versions too!
I understand, but it won't have the same result, right?@@XIMCentral
@@Dheeyssonn Yes exactly. It would be a similar effect but not the very same one.
U dont change the Ads settings ?
You do, i just didnt show that since this is personal preference. Some want to use the effect in both HIP and ADS while others maybe only in ADS or only in HIP.
Can we convert our sens from xim apex to XIM MATRIX
With a ruler by measuring your cm/360° ratio yes, thats possible.
What are in game settings for overwatch?
You can find those in the XIM Forum (Game Settings).
When using this config in a game with ADS do you still set it up the same way? for example on apex legends would you apply the curve and such to ADS sensitivity on the xim app instead of hip?
If you want to benefit from the effect in the ADS mode then yes! In this video i havent shown this since most heroes in OW2 only have HIP fire.
Xim central do you think we can do mjfame config on matrix ?
Yes thats possible! It would work just like this config (the matutaiki config is an extreme version of the MJFame config with some minor changes).
@@XIMCentral no i understand, do you think you can do a xim matrix config for pubg?
Should I use the curve for only ads or can I use it for both hip and ads
If you want to benefit from the effect in both HIP and ADS then use it for both. By default HIP changes are inherited into the ADS settings so i did not show the ADS setup.
Also we need extra aim assist for destiny 2 please
If I remove my key activation bind from the ads does that mean i play on the same hip and ads
It means you use your HIP sensitivity in the ADS mode too. But since usually both aim mechanics are different, this doesnt necessarily mean that you have the some overall sensitivity between HIP and ADS.
With the new beta what Velocity Reduce and SAB (inertia, micro, limit) would you suggest to go with Matutaiki settings? Thanks for the great video!
For the real matutaiki effect dont use any of these. You can however use those if you further want to tweak the AA behavior. Since AA is a personal rpeference thing the best way is to try a few combinations and stick with what feels best to you.

@@John_4756 The MJFame config which is the predecessor of the matutaiki config.
What do you recommend for the finals currently running 0-0-8
I would actually stick with 0-0-8 since it provides the best balance between AA and mouse movement accuracy. If you favour AA over mouse accuracy then you can add smoothing via X-9-8 with X being your preferred smoothing value. And if you prefer mouse movement accuracy over AA then reduce the Sync value from 0-0-8 to something like 0-0-4 or so.

@@Zombies8MyPizza do you advice to do that. He said low dpi would affect aim assist negatively with this config

thanks for the vid mate!

Hello Xim Central,
I've noticed that my aim with the Matrix is inconsistent ever since I got it (from the first firmware to the latest).
