There is certainly some good competition occurring with the prairie grass root systems. Often my experience shows that whichever plant was there first usually has the upper hand in competition. Also, the knotweed has few to no natural pests in our region, many grasses are fed on by various animals.
With these grasses having such impressive root systems, could they block something like Japanese knotweed from coming up? Asking for a friend. 😂
