Read the full story on your bio an interesting read! I was never a 100% sure but I had thought the Daytimes sounded like fake/canned audience rather than real like the primetime ones. Must have been odd for likes of Leslie/Powell to have hosted this show with a live audience and whizz/bangs for a small block of a series to then churn out 100 eps over a few weeks or something! I'm pretty sure I've your episode recorded somewhere from a Challenge airing.
It's funny that a question on Ulrika Johnson should come up considering the allegations she made about John Leslie. What was he like? And did you get the prizes you won or did they just give you a cash equivalent because of this being a cheap daytime show
Any particular reason you (and the other contestants too, for that matter) avoided the vowels? Especially in the speed round, where you all just seemed so helpless trying to figure out what consonants were left, when a vowel might have solved it more easily for you (or them).
+Frank371292 Was there a rule change at some point? I have seen a few UK episodes, and I did see contestants occasionally buy vowels on the show. I did notice, though, that it looked like it was a lot less common than in the US show.
Great to see this episode back on the 'Tube. I remember watching this when i first discovered UA-cam back in 2006 when UA-cam was young
Nicely done
@ 3:19 all that time for a turn... and that is the end result

+Frank371292 You aren't allowed to choose vowels. Consonants only. It did go on a while that round.

+Frank371292 I think you could buy vowels but it very rarely happened when I watched. I've never seen a UK episode where vowels are guessed.
