A ghost doing punching barrages is most likely already a JoJo reference. Don't underestimate how old and popular JoJo was before even the anime came out
Look like you pretty much underestimate how old and popular JoJo really are. "JoJo got it from him" my man, JoJo did it like 10 years before John Cena bro💀
"so far there were 4 legitimate JoJo references ive seen" my guy, literally all of them were references. pretty in-your-face ones too. please watch this again, when you've actually finished jojos cuz this was mad hard to watch.
Hasn't watched jojo, doesn't know terraria, team fortress or henry stickman... I don't think this guy has the authority on what is a jojo reference or not
My dude, you really underestimate how old and how influential Jojo’s is, especially for creators. I know that if I ever get successful as a writer, I’m definitely sneaking in at least a couple JoJo references. I think I can get away with “I can’t beat the shit out of you without getting closer” or maybe a punch ghost or two…
All of these all legitimate for sure since the Ceasar pose is a certain pose style that was copied in the different cartoons you saw in the references video and for some of the references you weren’t reading the fine print it said sometimes that the reference was based on something other than a moment in the anime like a Jojo animation style or a character. Ex: they mentioned Part 3 Stardust Crusader and the stand of Star Planitum not a particular moment in the anime
bro has a hard time believing one of the most influential pieces of media has influence. so many times he outright decries or doesn't pay attention to when there's a blatantly obvious reference on screen (for example the letters around the frog and not the frog itself is what was being mentioned and the obvious JoJo poses from the statues) and also says how certain things came before jojo, even though jojo predates the things hes mentioned by like 10 to 20+ years (for example john cenas pose not even looking the same as the reference in the cartoon but also being predated by jojos by like 14-15 yrs). he acts like these are like some esoteric, reaching , vacant references, when they are very very blatant. its just strange lmao. edit: watching it back, the one were the statues were dancing and posed at the end and he said they weren't doing jojo poses, not just one but literally all of the statues are doing one. the one on the far left is doing killer queens pose, the one on the closer left is doing josephs pose, the one on the closer left is doing ceasars pose and one on far right is doing josukes pose)
2:00 the frog thing is a proper reference though. The frog pic had the "do do do do do" (onomatopeia for a strange atmosphere, or "menacing atmosphere") japanese characters (kanji) floating around the "menacing frog" , which is something that happens a lot in Jojo whenever there is a suspense moment. It even has the "To be continued" arrow
There might be a vid of Jojo referencing other shows/animes/mangas/movies somewhere. I know there's a list on the Jojo wiki so if nobody has made a vid I'll be surprised. I'll go look for a good one. Cause Jojo definitely does reference other pieces of media.

The reason you only think 4 are legit is because you haven't watched Jojo and you haven't watched/played any of the movies/games. That's all on you bud.
3:06 no you cant jojo is way older then John Cena being a wrestler i think jojo was first released when John Cena was 10 years old so maybe John has it from jojo
Just saying, anything to do with the artstyle, fighting ghosts, crazy poses from jojo, to be continued + roundabout, etc. Is most definitely a JoJo reference. The most in your face kind at that. Jjba manga was created in 1987. There is no possibility of any of these being the other way around, either. JoJo is known for being crazy in a way that has been influential for decades. Even partnerships with name brands, like gucci, have existed since before the series ever even reached the recognition that it has today.
Ignoring the fact that almost if not every single one of these were a JoJo’s reference, did you seriously say that you don’t know what Team Fortress 2 or Henry Stickmin is? Where were you from 2006 - 2021???💀💀💀
"jojo got it from him" Jojos did this like 10 years before john cena so i doubt it

The reason for the change to Tsar Platinum is because the class the cosmetic is wearable for ( the Heavy ) is Russian
Also pretty sure that pose is from the manga which is older than John Cena's gesture
Predates Cena by a decade
Yep. Predates Cena, and that aside, the actual source of the pose is a little older as well. It's a fashion magazine pose Araki liked.

Jojo actually predates John cena's entire wwe career.
