3 Body Problem book trilogy might be one of the best sci books...It is a must read... It asks some very interesting philosophical & speculative science questions that might give you the chills to the bone...😶🌫️
It's also complete - with an ending! Having said that the first book is a bit of weird slow burn compared to the next two - will be interesting to see what the general viewing public make of it. I hope they like it enough that the others are covered.
I feel they were just done with making it and wanted it over, hence the 7 episode season 7, and 6 episode season 8. Lazy writing which was compounded further and further by themselves. They could have finished season 7 and 8 with 10 episodes of good writing and characterization if they had wanted. That’s what HBO wanted. Still look forward to seeing this show!
@@jerryjohnson4008 The Dark Forest (the second book) is the best one IMO. There's a famous scene in TDF that is the "Red Wedding" of the series. And if you've read the book, you know exactly what scene I'm talking about. Benioff and Weiss have said that they think that if they can reach that scene in the Netflix series, they will be home free to finish the whole series. Which they think they can do in 4 seasons.
@@charlesajones77 it's gonna be hard to do some of the things in the book, I hope they can pull it off. But it's gonna have to be next level mcu type graphics 😅 I just hope they put the creativeness in more than they worry about the speed they do it. Sometimes you loss quality for speed. I hope they don't do that.
The book trilogy starts off as “just an alien invasion.” But the trilogy goes on to be an absolute mind fuck. The scale goes bonkers. I can’t say much more without spoilers.
The books were originally written by Chinese author Liu Cixin and won the Hugo Award, good old golden age hard sci-fi like Isaac Asimov and Arthur C Clarke, there's also an extremely faithful Chinese adaptation which available on Amazon Prime.
@@MaceChannel Watching the Amazon Prime one is basically like reading the book, because it's technically a carbon copy of it, I've never seen any book to TV adaptation reach this level of accuracy before, at some point it even felt like audiobook with visual.
The books are incredible, a much more realistic take on the alien invasion story, in terms of unfathomable technology that threatens humanity. The story spans until the literal end of time so hopefully they are able to go that far with this series.
GoT got screwed up long before the final season. But yeah, I don't think that'll happen her. They didn't start screwing up until they ran out of book to adapt, and here the entire book series is already out. Also, this book series isn't nearly as long as GoT, so they also won't likely get impatient and burned out like they did with the final several seasons of GoT. They actually did a fantastic job when they had solid material to adapt during the first 3 or 4 seasons.
In my opinion. Its the greatest Lovecraftian Cosmic horror. Youre gonna learn about science , the universe, and psychology. Then quake in fear at what is revealed.
The basic premise behind this series: What if some... entity... could manipulate reality in ways beyond what we imagined was possible? If they wanted our planet, what could we possibly do about it? It's essentially cosmic horror.
The western (white people) countries don't want use/hire Asian actor to be the main character or main lead, I can understand that (since all 3 book of the series are 85% to 90% Asian character, but this is western adaptation need to adjust with the culture) But they should at least stay faithful as the story in the book. Change the first book male lead gender? into women? what's next, Luo Ji (the second book male lead) going to become female too? Cheng Xin (the 3 book female lead, part of 2 book female too) going to become man? Don't get me wrong, there is lots wonderful and smart female character in the book that are FEMALE for them to cast female actor. They can used that. But no, they want male character to become women (and this happened a lots recent years in movie/tv show) What is wrong with male still as MALE. Now they destroy everything.

I'll check it out!

Agree, I’ve read the whole series 3 times, now the fourth!
Well they screw up GOT because the book wasn't finish. Good thing is that the 3 Body Problem is based on a novel(trilogy) is completed.

Yeah this series is wild lol I like the Dark Forest.

I have to read these books!

Sounds interesting. I need some new books!
The end of the books was a serious "WTF" for page after page. So as long as they follow that, they'll be good.
Hahaha 😂 I need to check out the books
The music is a cover of a Radiohead track “everything in it’s right place “ basically made really epic. Looks good though
Right, I knew it was Radiohead! I’m terrible at song titles

Oh really??? I’ll have to look into the Amazon prime one.

Not sure it’s on prime here in Canada

I need to find em
I hate what happened to Will. Standout little storyline of the first season.

Very true. Season 1-3 were fantastic adaptation

Moment of Silence 😂❤
This is not the first trailer. Please react to the first one.
Oh I thought this was the first! Amateur hour

Awesome. And terrifying lol

Luo Ji has to be a man to have his imaginary girl friend scene. If they change LuoJi to a woman, they are out of their mind
Tbf i dont want to see luo ji dream and meet his perfect waifu much less think that he's liu cixin self insert
Yup
