If you want to know more about how zoos combine hoofstock, the AZA ungulate specialist group have very comprehensive documents for cervids, antelopes (broken down by habitat type), suids and I think hippos

beautiful build, love how simple the idea was and how lovely the execution! i love mixed species habitats, and loveeee the thought you put into the different sizes of animals and different heights of terrain and how they'd mesh to make the best view for the guests!

Really excited about the upcoming anniversary of PZ! As for this year's anniversary animal: personally I would love to see more small cat species in the game, so I'm going to say I'd love to see the Serval make it in. If not, then I'd love to see the Spectacled Bear make the cut!

I think there's an untapped well of small mammals for the anniversary animal: rabbits, mink, opossum, marten, coatimundi, kinkajou... Or they could throw a curveball and give us some dolphins or whales. I definitely have my fingers crossed for manatees.
I think that may be a little ambitious for a free animal, would love a Coati though!
I'm hoping for an anniversary animal(s) as part of walkthrough exhibits--maybe rainbow lorikeets?

I really recommend the Wildlands Zoo in Emmen, the Netherlands, for some ideas on some quite large exhibits with many animals in one exhibit! I always love it there, because the animals have plenty of space and their co-habitation just feels natural.
I actually built their Beaver habitat in my Moonlight World zoo!

I really love your videos, your habitats are always a big inspiration for my own. Only discovered your page a few months ago but have binge watched your planet zoo series!
For the anniversary animal I would love to have marmosets they are so cute and have so much personnality. I would understand that they are too small for a habitat and an exhibit would probably be too small but I still hope.
Otherwise any type of bears would make me so happy
Thanks! Yes Marmosets would be amazing! What we need is a new version of the walkthrough exhibit that doesn't have a path in it for small monkeys & birds.
This habitat looks so good, I love it! I have a habitat with red River Hogs and okapi in my main zoo build and think they look so good together!
Also; does anybody have any tips, or know of any guides, on how to colour match with the flexicolour shapes? It looked so easy in the clips here, but I've tried to do that in a few different builds, and I really struggle to get things to match well. :/
Is there some trick to it that could make it easier, or is it just a skill you have to develop over time?
Thanks! I used to do a bit of graphic design so I’ve got a lo5 of experience of colour tools, I think it’s just experience (and speeding up the footage 😆)
3:33 in rudi his recent video he made a fence with the conversation slat pieces, that could maybe work for some cheap fences for animals like camels.
Yeh I don’t really like the texture on those so don’t use them very often
Omg this looks really good! I got to love a classic habitat, and I love that you have multiple species in one enclosure! I’m excited for what next week will bring, also if the next animal in the African forest are hippos could they please be Pygmy hippos? They look so cute and they are more tropical than regular hippos so I think that they would fit this area perfectly! Anyway I love these weekly videos and I’ll be back next week! (I’m also excited about the anniversary animal my guess is a spectacled bear or a Rhea, that would be awesome!)

Ok either way I know it will look amazing I am still real excited for hippos, for some reason a lot of people don’t build for them anyway so honestly I’m glad you doing it for the common hippo!

Aw thanks! Most animals kept in zoos have a Care Manual prepared by zoo associations based on the combined experience of the zoos keeping them. AZA etc, I just google them!

Aren't lemurs primates, I was wondering:) anyway, now that I've successfully watched all of the videos, I can't believe I'm gonna have to wait for episodes 🤭 am currently playing career challenges in Planet Zoo for the reward statues, cuz that entrance!!! Thank you for another fantastic episode:) can't wait to see how the Africa part of the zoo is going to look like! Oh btw, how's the lag in game with more and more animals and such intricate builds?
Yup, primitive primates, I forgot all about them 😆 The lag is getting troublesome to be honest, I'm probably on 20fps? Gonna look at upgrading my rig soon as it's not the best.

Good choices! I’d like a Bear actually because it would be a much better model than the ones we have now
I'm still hoping for the Asiatic Lion, but Leaf suggested a new Orang Utan which would make sense with the newly added brachiation. Indian antelope/black buck could be a good one too.
@@Mumbai_Mahout that’s actually a good idea, even though Sumatran & Bornean are basically identical the Bornean in PZ is so poor that a Sumatran with real fur and proper climbing would be great!

@@ZSHplays pacific northwest, like western canada, washington state sort of area. I think cool animals would be something like jackrabbits, elk, bighorn sheep, or coyotes.

Hi ZSH I have a idea that you might like for a series when this amazing one is done: Here it is. my idea for a series is to do a fan designed zoo. What I mean by this is you have a hole zoo built off of the comments. That would mean you take designs from the comments and insert them into a zoo that you build and make the ideas Or habitats from the comments better and or just build the in general. If you pin this and it gets over 1.5k likes would you consider doing it
A few people do community zoos like this, ZooF is doing one at the moment. Personally I like to have a vision and see it through so the idea doesn’t really appeal to me I’m afraid.
