This is a really well put together video. Very dynamic visual and lots of useful information. Now that Carnival is around the corner again, im sure this video will take off 🚀. Congratulations! Keep up the great work
We went in 1997 and I loved it. The food is not that great, but I live in New Orleans so have high expectations. The parades through the Sambadrome were amazing! I saw many people that looked like friends and relatives in the USA. I’m sure things have changed a lot. I would definitely go back but with a group, including men.
Couldn't agree with this more!! This still resonates today. We found the steakhouses and japanese food to be incredible though. And I would definitely go back again with men or people who speak Portuguese and know the area!
Thank you so much, you tube, for this best idea, i had in the recent time. If I can't sleep, I click on an video with western wimen, reporting about carneval inn Rio and I fall asleep immidiatly. Works very reliable. Again: Obligado so much😂
Loved for vlog. The energy was fantastic and your itinerary was right on but your closing statements were discouraging. My wife and I have traveled extensively band found Rio to be a safe place to visit with the caviate of using common sense. Don't show expensive camerOas or bling. Use your hotel staff to let you know where it is safe to go. Stay with the crowds and avoid side streets. Use uber to travel especially at night. These are the same guidelines I use in Europe, and the United States. I feel safer in Rio than New York, Washington DC, London, or Paris.
Thanks for sharing your experience. This video shares my experience as a female traveler in Rio. It is commonly advised for females to travel with a males when in Rio for safety reasons - because you do get treated very differently whether a male is with you or not. I live in New York and travel to Europe, South and Central America often solo and still felt incredibly unsafe in Rio.
Going there when it’s not carnival would be such a different experience and not as party oriented! The helicopter ride was definitely one of the favorite things I did in Rio. Highly recommend!!
It opens a few months before for sale only. Search for ingressos rio carnaval. There are a lot of sites that will upcharge. I think LIESA is the official one, but not sure
The favelas are NOT the poorest places in the world, there are banks in there and even McDonalds. By the way, so sad of you to see poor people struggling, take photos and make it an attraction. You should be so proud.
Rio doesn't have to be party only, even at Carnival there are a lot of other things to do. As to your personal perception of safety, it seems extremely exaggerated. Everyone uses their phone at all times. Seems the fearmongering might have contributed to a bit of a personal paranoia, unfortunately

Thank you so much, appreciate your support!!
The sunset sailboat, botanical garden, and helicopter ride look amazing!! Would love to visit 😍
All the zen stuff hahaha except helicopter ride, but that was definitely a highlight and I would say a must do to see Christ the redeemer!!
God, the production value on this vlog is incredible. Keep it up!

Thank you for all this info!
Thank you for watching!!
I've heard that at any time before Carnival, street parties can break out at the butt-crack of dawn and can continue on until God-knows-when.
YUP!! Parties went on until 7-8am, and then new parties would start at 8am! So it was endless hahah we couldn't do it

You're welcome! You can put my video playlist on repeat if it helps you!
How much was the helicopter ride, per person or per helicopter, and how much time in the air
How did you book the helicopter tour? Do you think is it ok to book it once arrived or is it “risky” due to high demand during carnival time?
We showed up and booked on the spot. There was no wait and we went during carnival aka high season!
Nice video! I1m brazilian and a litle afraid of Rio Carnival, but you had survive! Congrats!!

@@felisaxo Must have been a personal thing. Because I hear from many solo female travellers that they felt quite safe
Can you share the registered bloco website? I don’t see it linked in the video bio
I'm not much of a partier anymore either, so it looked a bit intimidating honestly! But that helicopter ride looked amazing!

You could’ve gone to floripa instead, get the chill nature and beach experience but feeling a lot safer.

Always a frustrated Catarinense in the comments. Floripa sucks just for some of its people alone. And there's crime too
