Description: In this webinar, Jo Skinner-Grant, a youth advocate with lived experience, presents their journey of engaging in mental health advocacy and supporting youth with “serious emotional disturbance (SED)”. Join us to dive deep into how best to support youth in finding their voice in community, state, or even national advocacy, and how to keep youth voices in the spotlight. Learn to define the difference between helpful and harmful ways to engage with our young people. Jo answers some important questions, such as: How can we keep youth engaged? How can we communicate with our young people? Jo teaches us while sharing their own experiences with advocacy and providing an opportunity for discussion among participants.
Speaker: Jo Skinner-Grant, Co-Founder Reed College’s first Collegiate Recovery Program to help other students in recovery from substance use disorders and is currently a junior at Georgetown University.
