Chargedcycleworks has a video on dishing the rear wheel to the left to clear the chain on a Surron so you never have to cut the knobs every time you change the tire. I tried it on my 19 x 16 rim setup and it worked like a charm. Also I had the same problem where the tire didn't set right on the rim, I brought it to a dirt bike mechanic and he just blew up the tire to 30 psi and everything aligned itself and then he deflated the tire to the right pressure. I guess you can go up to 40 psi to have it sit correctly on the rim.
I just got a motor wheel put on the surron and the shop told me that the chain is rubbing. I’m just gonna send a burn out to fix the sidewall right when I get the bike lol.
Nice build man! I've been enjoying the hell out of my Sting R this Summer. Wrenching on them is almost as fun as riding. What Eggrider armor is that? Looks way better than the cheapo Amazon one I have ... Never mind, found it in your links 🙂
What tires are you running front and rear? Wonder if the new ERide SS Pro 2.0 would handle that "Beefy Rear Tire" without have the knobs? How many teeth in that Rear Sprocket? 555 T? Thank you!! : )
Seen a fair few guys running those size tyres one been a friend of mine and his rubbed at first we asked about and eveyone said theres 2 options either trim the nobbies like he did and you did or get the wheel offset to the left when getting a custom built wheel
I beat my brothers CRF450R on my 72v surron with 58t sprocket and BAC8000 mods.. These surrons are insane, now top top end, he might pass me but NEVER mid range
Wtg are u talking about betting a 450 dude who the hell was riding the 450 my brothers KTM 450 makes me look like a toy I have no idea what ur talking about I can't jump shot compared to him and it's just way bigger and goes over stuff much easier I think ur over selling our sur it's not a 450 and shouldn't be my brother bike was 12k but saying u can keep up with a new 450 is just stupid they are literally made to race we went to a motocross track and he lapped me after 2 laps and we both grew up racing
These dude could Barley get up a hill a 450 could go up at 5 mph 2 diff bikes yes on a mtb trial the little bike should be faster but on a open course moto course u can't keep up with a 450
I mean I have electric cars and the way we are headed, but i see Surons like a new thing, way more fun than a MTB and something to ride when your not at the track
one of the more beefy wheels I've seen on a surron, looks sort of funny on a smaller bike. Also I was wondering if you had any suggestions for any wheels that are like the stock wheels, but a little bit more durable, but not so wide they need trimming?
Not sure if you’ve said this in a different video: With the 72v battery, did you only change the controller? Or did you change the motor as well? Thanks
I really want a surron found a cheapish one only $1,500 hoping my parents will get me it for christmas I'm only 12 years old don't have that much money yet lol
So much $$ and effort to achieve a "real dirt bike feel". I get it for a good UA-cam channel but for normal folks, I think a gas bike is still the way to go. The Surron's are still built on a mountain bike platform so even at $15k of aftermarket, that is still where you are. 2 stroke 300, best bang for buck. Reliable, affordable, proven technology and components. I love the concept of electric, but it ain't there yet. I have a Surron, trials bike, 300 2 stroke and a DRZ super moto. No bike is perfect but the gas bikes with a clutch and gears are still superior. For now.
Definitely but you can’t do most of what I do with a loud two stroke! Battery life and things still need some work but give it time. The Varg will be the test when I get it to see where it’s at as far as all around e bike
@@TylerMonagan Can't wait to see how that thing comes out, 2 years from now:). They need an enduro version of the Varg with a clutch. Hope the weight is reasonable too.

EXACTLY! DIRT BIKE TIRES ARE VERY HEAVY IT SEEMS AND TOO FAT AFTER WATCHING PART 1 &2 OF THAT
Can you link it I can’t find it
@@blakeburnett3334 Just do a search on youtube for this title Chargecycleworks How to Dish your Surron Wheel
You certainly know what you’re doing. Nice build.
I need one of them bikes in my life
I think you need a offset rim
Dang congrats man those sand tires were sick can’t wait to see what other Sur-Ron videos you got in mind😊
interesting really cool cant wait for the 2023 street legal surron
"Shy-Battery". Its a reference to Chicago as Chi-town "Shy-town"
that thing wheelies so good
You gotta dish the rim bro. I'm running that same tire on a 16inch flow wheel.
It's all about that 16/19 setup 🙌🏼 got my milk racing waiting to be installed! 🤙🏼
💯🫡
what rim size did you get. was it 16x1.60 or 16x1.85. And whats the difference between the two?
@@CamdenSigel 1.85 is what I got. The difference is that its a thicker rim
@@VoltedAdventures Alr perfect thank u. I’m prolly gonna run the Mx34 on it when I buy
Trimming is the way to go I think

I would have dished after what I read in the subject...
0:32 great song choice love Mr brightside and love the toys wish I could afford my own

Are the K5's worth $2k? Thinking about it but need 1000% guarantee it's worth it
Hi! For your rear tire, did you have to change the tube or you kept the original one? thanks!
I noticed on my surron that the swingarm markings weren’t accurate, so I don’t go by the lines, I just go by it being centered in the swingarm
What was the song played while you were switching tires?
The bike's lit everythings nice, but am I the only 1 that just would go insane without the dirtbike loud sounds
I mean I have electric cars and the way we are headed, but i see Surons like a new thing, way more fun than a MTB and something to ride when your not at the track
you got to take this to switchback when you get suspension and see how it does
Where in NY are you? Looking to get one and some places to ride.
Love the suron content
when you said the bike cuts out sometime im not sure if you got rid of the brake sensor but that could be it
Yo Tyler big fan what size is the tire and rim your using ?
Why didt you jus use a few washers on the one side like slide them in between the swing arm and wheel
what bac is that 4000? or 8? also what AH is that 72V and is this all on a stock motor?
tires look mean af. what battery are you running now?
Insane

Narrower tire bro!
Can’t you just put 85 big wheel tires/rims on it
Did you cover extender come with the battery
Do the spacers come with the new mount/stem? If not how many did you have to buy and what kind? Link?
can u ride the sur ron well on ocean sand? i have stock tires and its hard if I upgrade tires maybe I could, what do u think?
Hey Tyler I have been watching you for 3 years now na u please buy me a sur on cheers x😂
Is there not a better Moto styling for the surron?
Not sure if you’ve said this in a different video:
With the 72v battery, did you only change the controller? Or did you change the motor as well?
Thanks
He's still got stock motor lol, only controller and battery. If he went with KO motor as well.. Oh man LOL
How is the colder temps effecting your battery life?
it does change it a little but depends how heavy you are on the throttle!
@@TylerMonagan Awesome, have you tried "preheating the packs" to help with the initial hit of cold cell drain?
How much ride time do you get on that bike just like you're riding right now with the dirt tires
Gives around 10-15 more miles than stock surron battery
😊😮cool.
Do you prefer 60v or 72v?
Location? Looks like Pa
what is that hand held tire pump called
Making me want to buy one now hahHah
You need one

Your front tire is on backwards
i have this same tire setup in the rear and when i ride on the road the tire in the rear is hella loud..just wondering if that’s normal
never mind i watched the rest of the video and he confirmed it

You can’t ride a 2 stroke in your local park without pissing someone off. Surrons don’t replace dirt bike it’s whole different category of fun
