Construite en 1872, la ville fantôme, d'Humberstone fut créée grâce à l’industrie du nitrate. Celle ancienne ville est le symbole de l'industrie du Chili. Elle a abrité jusqu'à 3700 habitants. Avec l'apparition de produit de synthèse, elle fut abandonnée en 1960. Elle a été classée par l’UNESCO en 2005. Aujourd'hui ouverte aux touristes.
Built in 1872, the ghost town of Humberstone was created by the nitrate industry. This ancient city is the symbol of Chilean industry. It was home to up to 3700 inhabitants. With the appearance of synthetic products, it was abandoned in 1960. It was classified by UNESCO in 2005. Today open to tourists.
Wybudowane w 1872 roku miasto duchów Humberstone zostało stworzone przez przemysł azotanowy. To starożytne miasto jest symbolem chilijskiego przemysłu. Zamieszkiwało go nawet 3700 mieszkańców. Wraz z pojawieniem się produktów syntetycznych został porzucony w 1960 roku. Został sklasyfikowany przez UNESCO w 2005 roku. Dziś otwarty dla turystów.

Con la aparición de productos sintéticos, fue abandonado en 1960. Fue clasificado por la UNESCO en 2005. Hoy abierto a los turistas.

Die 1872 erbaute Geisterstadt Humberstone wurde von der Nitratindustrie geschaffen. Diese antike Stadt ist das Symbol der chilenischen Industrie. Hier lebten bis zu 3700 Einwohner. Mit dem Aufkommen synthetischer Produkte wurde es 1960 aufgegeben. Es wurde 2005 von der UNESCO klassifiziert. Heute für Touristen geöffnet.
