Lovin my carbon fiber altitude 2.0 I got the hi flow too in the cyan blue color makes a huge difference on the mountain with such a light helmet also running the new aviator 2.0s heated goggles makes an awesome combo !
I think it would be fine to run on the trails. However you might want to consider the regular not the “hi-flow” it lets lots of air flow through to your head so it might be cold on cold days on the trail.
In all my research I can't anything about the actual safety of these 509 helmets. All the other premium helmets have all kinds of special protection technology, but there is not a spec of safety info out ther eon these helmets, not even on the 509 site...It's probably so light because there's no protection, lol
Helmets and most importantly goggles from 509 are garbage. There is a reason they are nicknamed "Fog o Nine" for a reason. I have owned both and won't again.
@@JasonMcMurray True. But if you wear your goggles the same under the same conditions and don't change your habits, then it shows how well they do or don't work. I have found 100% Goggles to be the best all around. 509 suck ass, Oakley are really good, and my Klim work well also. Did I mention 509 are horrible?

They are DOT/ECE rated, hope that helps.
Are those the XL aviator2.0 or just the aviator 2.0???

Xl are designed to be worn with xl helmet or larger.

To each their own, I ride everyday with mine and have no issues. You can fog any goggle if you’re sweating excessively or get snow inside them.
Does it come with the black bag and the GoPro mount?
