I’m old school and follow old school lighting rules. Rule #1, get the light fixtures above the audience so that lights shine down on a crowd. Our industry has sacrificed a lot of basic production rules for convenience. Let’s get those fixtures 8’ or higher.
I keep lights all but off during dinner.
Uplighting and maybe...MAYBE tube glow (lowest brightness) just to keep a bit of elegance, but spin and puke during dinner? Who tf does that?
