Lived there for about a year. Enjoyed it. It’s a great introduction to living in Idaho. Weather is mild, yet there four seasons. Only down side (although you DO get used to it) is the smell of the paper mill…..
Glad you included the bonus footage at the end. For anyone coming from the north, that dramatic drive is unforgettable. Did it many times back in the day!
Mild weather usually except for the sweatbox summers that seems worse than clarkston or asotin but those are still usually just as or about as HOT When it wants to they get some rather deep freezes too We lived on both 6th avenue then 11th avenue early-mid-to late 1970s Its got rich atmospheres even reminiscent of other areas of the u.s esp the upper midlands and east coast in places & unforgettable drives up the hill going places in the summer with good music on I was only born there then lived there after mom & dad divorced and a clarkston/asotin native
Fun fact: almost 97 years ago, Walt and Lillian Disney were married in a house on 918 3rd street… And also fast correction; Mall 21 is no more… it had been torn down recently and was replaced by parking lot pavement!
My dad lived in Lewiston he's the man who made Paul Bunyan,Bobs big boy and several other iconic fiberglass after he moved to L.A but he wasn't happy with his job and Walt hired him to build for Disneyland but at that point he got enfazema and was too sick

Does anyone know how I can find classroom photos from Orchards Elementary from 1967 and 1968 for 3rd and 4th grade? I think I had Mrs. Strand.
