Thanks for watching.
This is one of the top reasons I got my ZX14R. Power everywhere. Also, I don't really like having to rev out bikes all the time. I think this is also why ZX14R can get high mileage as compared to litre bikes.
On the high mileage compared to litre bikes... everything you said, plus being more comfortable. The big ZZR is a sport tourer.
Whilst I agree 600’s are good for the road, and track when it comes to the thrashability value. You cant beat a big bore bike. It’s not so much about having too much power, it’s the fact you have it if you need it. I recently had the new zx6r and sold it for a zx10r. The 6 felt like I was thrashing it and you could never cruise on it when the need arose. I also have a hayabusa. So for me there’s no replacement for displacement 😀
Busa is a couch! cruising 70 top gear has power even at 3-4k rpm such a beast
I LIKE that my 600 makes less power down low. Makes it easier to make fine throttle adjustments at lower speeds. Who needs 80+ lbs/ft of torque at 3k rpm when we are stuck behind a Prius in a 35mph zone yet again? Now the ergos of a sport bike are obviously bad for around town, but the ZX-14R's near 600lbs weight isn't ideal in that environment either. I don't think either class of machine is about 'hype' they are different tools for different jobs. To effortlessly smash freeways flat for hours at a time a ZX-14 or Hayabusa is superb. To ride my local twisty backroads the committed ergos of a pure sportbike actually work and feel great. To ride around in traffic running errands I ride a CBR500R with a top case (which doesn't make good power anywhere) because it's comfy, cheap, and power is a liability not an asset at low speeds. I can mooch that 500 around smooth as butter.
I love my gen2 'busa. I've had the Gsxr1000's ZX10's Fireblades etc. and the 'busa is the best one I have ridden on the roads and I do not hang about. The shitty road surfaces are not a problem for the 'busa whereas lighter faster steering bikes get upset in my experience. The 'busa is never stressed and the big torque is addictive. The ZZR14 is another bike I would love for sure.
I ride mine everyday , it's the best in a long line of bikes I've had . I filter ,town drive and a bit of motorway blasting . This bike covers all my bases. Comfortable ( 5'7") Fast , nimble , fast , fast and fast . 👍
Goblin, i wanna ask you, in my country they have this bike called zx25r, basically the same with zx4r with less horsepower (around 45). So is that bike a good street bike to use daily? Thx
It revs to 17-18000 rpm but because it's a small displacement bike its not so fast😂 i think it maxed out at 180kmh
Cheers for your videos. They are great. I just wanted to say, I have a 2012 ZX14R here in Perth Western Australia. Absolutely love it. I'm just about to the forks & rear shock serviced. Can't wait!
Back to what I wanted to say, I had a bit of a drag with a Tesla 3 a while ago, dual motor. And from a standstill to 80km/h, I got absolutely smoked! It wasn't even close. Just saying. Front wheel wouldn't let me keep up without flipping.
But yeah, everyone talks about power, but it's all about the bottom /midrange torque imo.
Cheers
All the best 👍🏍
The biggest problem drag racing a tesla is that their electric motors allow for the traction control to be far more efficient
While not quite the same, a lot of this applies to my GTR1400 as well. Absolute blast to ride, I haven't regretted buying it for a single day yet!
Very very good explanation on the zx14r comparison to any other bike on the planet i ride mine everyday for the reason you can enjoy it in every gear think of it like this if the 14 was a car it will be a old school high torque muscle car compared to other bikes like zx10 ducati suzuki 1000 r1 will be like a Lamborghini or Ferrari know the question is would you daily your exotic car no but your muscle car you will facts great explanation of video sir
I've always thought of them as Kawasaki's answer to the Hyabusa, but better looking and not a Suzuki.
The ZZR1100 was the first major speed demon long distance bike. Predating the original Hayabusa by about 10 years. Suzuki absolutely cheated (at the time) with the original by giving it an extra 200cc on the competition - which has proven to be a good thing. Then in 2006 Kawasaki released the first ZZR1400, Suzuki beat it with the Gen2 Busa, with capacity only increased by 40cc to 1,340... the gen2 is still a legendary motor, kawasaki couldn't beat it straight up, so the 1,352cc of the first ZZR1400 increased to 1,441cc for the 2nd model. Then a few years later, kawasaki beat themselves with the supercharged H2.
@wolfpackpete6408 I did not know that thanks for clearing me up, I just always assumed the Hayabusa was first but now I know better, Kawasaki still does it better than Suziki ever has
@1000yeardragon I don't know if there's anything serious about the reports, but some people speculate a ZZR1500 supercharged on the way
@wolfpackpete6408 now that would be a beast to behold
that's a hot take if I ever heard one..
Zx14r isn't a hype bike. It's a sleeper bike meaning people overlook it most of the time. It's the closing era of the speed wars back in the day and the Hayabusa owned that era. Simply because the Busa just hit the right notes of audacity, speed, design and marketing. Kawasaki made the zx14r to beat the Busa and it did but by that time. The motorcycle industry was already moving on to a new era of electronics and technology. Just like now how automatic transmission, cruise control, traction systems etc are even getting into smaller CC bikes.
goblin is a a fucking tool who has no idea about bikes or biking ffs
Okay i wish I didnt hear this. I now need to add yet another bike to my future lineup 😂😂
King of the 1/4 mile
My zzr 1400 2015 is som twist on it, no restricted, split filter, brock's fullaste and mapped, mapped and flashed.
Is good to now I have the powe if I need it, approach 250 hp and 200 in torque, sorry if i spell it wrong.
Now it like the bike i will have.
The zzr1400 in my opinion, is the best all round bike, you can ride it every day, or tour.
The instant power is there..115mph in first gear, the long gears are a benefit
Had mine 4half years now...
People who know nothing about bikes will still compliment the glorious zzr1400
Take the restriction off and you have a missile...
Uh... What? How 115 in first?
@papabear8908 Yep, thats correct.
Amazing eh?
concours 14 with ECU flash and exhaust it really some great motorcycle for road. does all even in twisties it performs grunt out of corners like no other .. ZX is faster but more usable bike and mid torqe its got it! does all well trips tight corners high speed andchill..
I agree. Also, the zzr1400 is not only a faster all-around bike (low, mid, and top end)but better-looking and lighter ..
Concourse is cheaper on insurance, and as I've mentioned previously, it is better for longer journeys. 👍
@@snakeman9902 please if you can ride one concours 14 ecu flash and see for yourself VVT low/midrange grunt its no slouch it can hold itself over 100mph with any of them..concours 14 TRY ONE ! its geared different than zzr1400 lower geared quick ... cheers
My little zzr 1400 is after som twist on 250 hp and 200 in torque.
Is Nice to have the power of no restricted bike.
I drive legally but som Times i have flow of a little carbon,
You know what the real reason the motorcycles are limited with regardless what engine size they are because of the governments around the world young writers tend to go crazy so the lawyers they get involved and try to hash out a solution so the companies can continue to manufacture motorcycles so that’s the real reason we facing motorcycles are not the same anymore like they used to be because people get out there and go crazy they run from the police don’t obey the rules and regulations and safety when it comes to ride a motorcycle and local law-enforcement all over the world or complaining about these bikes being so damn fast they can’t do anything with them. You can’t catch them you can barely see him. They go by so fast so that’s why we all paying the price on performance on any motorcycle because some people can’t handle freedom and be responsibleas a bike rider. That’s why we’re losing privileges when it comes to bike riding left and right thank you I like your shows the demonstration. Great keep up the good work.
Insurance rates on liter bikes is ridiculous
Lovely❤❤❤
Im really thinking to get a 2020 ZZR and go the whole hog with it, wheels, full system, PC5 air filter, remove all the crap and keep it for ever
get a busa. gen 3.
@High_Octane nah, things as heavy as 2 elephants
@@thedriverofallthings What? the zzr is 10lbs heavier. the busa is 580. please tell me you knew that...
@High_Octane true, Gen one ZZR is alot lighter than a Gen 2.
Suzukis are for squids tho
@@thedriverofallthings and gen 1 busa is lighter than gen 1 zzr. didn't know we where comparing old bikes. People like to say Suzuki's are for squids but I guess thats the label you get when your the fastest! people hate the fastest guy. (GSXR1000 is fastest and oldest litre bike HA) Haybusa is elegant. Gen 3 knocked it out of the park. Every modern feature, Cruise, Launch control, wheelie control, quick shift, full LED, list goes on and not neuatered ( not lean). makes the ZZR look like a relic. mic drop I guess lol.
ride a concours 14 has V V T and has more low mid range torqe than that zx 14-zx 14 does not have V V T .. try one much more compfy !! cheers..
