Great advice. I have found alcohol 70% will kill mites. I have used it when my snake had some and used it on the tank after washing it down and it is save for reptiles just not mites.
    GOD BLESS 💕💕💕💕💕💕

this video had great timing! I JUST finished setting up my new snake enclosure. I've been working so hard on it for months and I was so proud. Letting it sit for two weeks to make sure the CUC settles in well and that the temps/humidity is consistent...and 3 days in I had a gnat infestation. I felt like a damn fool LOL. Caught at least 40 on a tape trap and I'm very grateful for the mosquito bits tip!

Great info and reminders as always! Sorry to have missed you at SD. It's always great to talk medical issues and reptiles with someone who gets it. Take care and thanks to your family for sharing you with us!

The description of the powdered anti bug stuff reminds me of those brick walls topped with broken bottles that I see out here in Thailand. I'm gonna keep an eye out for that stuff.

Hello! Can you do an updated video on your crested gecko with the screen tank?

Mites you can go to the store and get split peas and put them in a blender or coffee grinder to make a powder split. Pea flower kills mites.

Make sure you use FOOD grade diatomaceous earth, NOT pool grade! If you can find where the ants are getting in your house, you can sprinkle cinnamon across the threshold. It messes with the chemical trail they leave behind. DE works wonderfully against all kinds of pests.

It's super funny to see this because I collect plants and it is basically the same care for those bugs 😅
Sadly the bits are not legal everywhere, it's like almost onky the USA who can have them 😢, but the brand Safer make an insecticidal soap who is safe for us, maybe it is safe for reptile to? 🤔
For the gnats there is lamps to trap them to it's super usefull! 😊

I have two ball pythons and I have been struggling with the humidity I’ve got the hides but they are in a tank and it’s covered and when to shut there lights down or UVB light. And I do have a question my male is a little more active then my female is that normal or just how it is. And your videos are amazing and love how you do them and love watching them :)

Good morning Elle, hope you are doing well!!! Are these the reasons that you should always quarantine your new animals when you get them?

Good morning! Mites definitely are a huge reason for that. Especially if you don't know where they're coming from 😅

Good morning Elle, I had a sugar ant problem and ended up just taking the enclosure down and putting it back together. Now I don’t leave food in the tank.

Hey Elle! Thank you for this great video. I don’t have reptiles, I have tarantulas and was wondering how to get rid of mites? I have no idea how I got them but I am scared to death about them in with my tarantulas! Do you still suggest cleaning out the whole enclosure? I need help and can’t find any anywhere, please give me advice if you read this! Thank you!

I worry about bringing new substrate into the house and having mites sneaking in on them. I put substrate directly into my deep freezer (-40F) for a week.
