Yeah stumbling into the planner community really changed my life. I was experiencing the stay-in-bed-sads, and then I see someone decorating their planner with stickers on UA-cam. I thought that's dumb, and expensive. Then I thought maybe she likes playing with stickers. Then I wanted play with stickers. So I got a planner and stickers. A planner with no plans in it is kinda sad so I wanted to put stuff in the planner. I started taking myself to the theater and started going most Tuesdays. Eventually I had less stay-in-bed-sads days, and went back to college and finished my degree.
that's amazing! I'm happy for you :)
I don't even know you and im soo proud of you
The power of stickers
I am happy it works for you
Well done

@NISYADHANA A/P SUBBARAO Moe jup.
Yaay for all Neil Gaiman and American Gods fans! 🥰
Yup, subscribed immediately after that.
The best thing about the bullet journal (for me), is you do not need to use it everyday. You can use it A LOT for a month, little the next month, but it doesn't waste space, still gives you the big picture, and lets you even change up how you use it half way through the year. I AM FREE TO REIGN OVER THESE PAGES AS I WISH!
Somehow, l really needed to hear that!!!!
Yeah Amie, the idea has been around for over 100 years.
Why did I think after reading your last line the lights dimmed, lightning flashed and cackled I’m the background, and you let out an evil laugh?
finally, a normal persons bullet journal! i get so overwhelmed by the people who make intricate layouts for every page!
I stick to the core. No design, it's very ugly you'd love it. 😉
You should see mine. It's ugly but god damn functional
Right? I always felt kind of bad that I wasn't able to make a theatre of every calendar or list haha
Mine's really simple. I do use colours, sometimes washi tape and some stickers just to make it prettier, but it stays simple (and more importantly, readable). I used to draw designs in it but it took too much time and it became simpler and simpler.
Me too! I admire their skill and creativity so much though!
Tasks in my bullet journal:
* Find out if Craig's parents are actually getting divorced
* Figure out a way to stop it from happening
I am also concerned
time travel?
It's OK. Pops is closer to the beer fridge.
For real! I wanna know if the divorce thing is a joke or not!
I feel like it is a joke. They don't seem very concerned about it.
I love my journal. I call it my Keep My Shit Together book. It bears little resemblance to those snazzy artsy journals, but it is custom made by me for me.
Yessssss! This is everything, congrats!!
That’s it. I’m renaming my book. 😂
I need a GMST Journal. I'll be proud when I can rename it my KMST journal. My shit is def NOT together...
This parents saga is 70% funny, 20% confusing, and 10% sad.
I'm really hoping it's not real.
@@tootpaste427 Me too!
I don't know why I so desesperately need to know that this is not real.
@@tootpaste427 Haha, yeah. I rewatched the previous video just to reassure myself it was part of the skit.
Right!? But divorce is not something to joke about so I am so unsure if this is real...🤷♀️
I use a bullet journal because I am a scatterbrained person who has to do a million little hateful tasks every day and if I cannot at least color in a flower for doing the things I have to do to keep me alive, I will die.
I’m so sorry!
Lists really help when you are scatterbrained!
That you use flowers and color them in makes me happy 🥺 hang in there, adorable human!
Fr I use mine to be creative, have a hard time starting art pieces (I like painting) so my journal is my art basicly which relives stress and I love colouring in the boxes in front of tasks, like it’s weird (but possitive) that I get more enjoyment out of colouring in a square then giving myself something else yeah. Good on you😃
And being able to make a spread for keeping up with homework has been amazing
I’m going to preface this comment by saying I love you. But. I REALLY love your parents.
I need a way to double (or more) upvote comments like this
I feel there's this weird subset of youtubers who have not-so-secretly awesome parents.
Like Patrick H. Willems
YES.
@@user-zh4vo1kw1z I wish Patrick would skip the skits and just jump into it. Wheezy's skits with his parents are the funniest parts of his video.
Patrick H. may be an awesome film critic and also have an awesome beard, but as a UA-camr he's no Wheezy.
My take away from this video: I love your parents! 😀
". . .shoulda never sent ya to college." Amazing
I love bullet journaling! One of the surprise benefits I've found is that I remember what I've done better. With the pandemic it felt like every day blended together, but now I can look back to see what I did each day to differentiate. It helps me to not feel stagnant and also not fall into bad habits accidentally
What template/spread do you use to "remember what you've done better"? Do you write it in the daily notes?
@@trashAndNoStar mostly I use my weekly spreads and take time at the end of the day to note down a few important moments in the day. I also do a gratitude tracker and write one thing I'm grateful for from each day. That one reminds me of some of my favorite memories :)
That's exactly why I'm now considering starting it. To remember what I've been doing and force myself to start doing *shirt*.
The part with your dad made me laugh so much that it actually changed my day from a bad one to a slightly better one.
Also your parents are good actors!!
Yes but are they actually divorcing? 😶
@@ThatWeirdFinn I don't think so. They wouldn't joke about it if it were true.
@@MarcelaRivestL Why not? If it's healthy break up ad they have known each other long, knowing nw it's better to break-up... They can joke about it and still be friends. Not all divorces need to be nasty. It could be just healthier option to keep their friendship as a good one.
@@Nagarath16 very true. Mine really wasn't, we're still friends
Right? Cracks me up that people thought it was real. 😂
I love my bullet journal! My favorite aspect is how flexible it is because you're literally in control of everything. Don't want to plan out your weeks? You don't have to! Want to draw something really pretty? Go for it! If something really isn't really working or just isn't ideal, you have the full power to change it in the next week/month.
I have been away from this channel for a LITERAL DECADE. I love that you still clone yourself and that you have a DAUGHTER! CONGRATULATIONS! Holy crap, I feel like revisiting an old friend (that has no idea who I am). PS: I realized that very few youtubers are able to cause this feeling.
"I live in a digital world, and I'm a digital girl" LMAO😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
As a person who has depended on journals to remember things for most of their life, it was very interesting to see you try one for the first time! It reminded me why I like ‘em.
That zoom out at the beginning with the List tracking to stay in place with respect to you was a GREAT touch
I don’t think I’ve ever literally LOLd during a BUJO video. This was AWESOMELY hilarious! Thank you! Such a great video! You put the FUN in functional!
I'm too boring and lazy for a bullet journal. Wake up. Brush teeth. Feed the cat. Breathe. Blink.
There are no boring people. The concept of somebody being seen as boring is entirely subjective! If you would like to start bullet journaling but are too lazy for it, you can start with something simple, like daily/weekly to-do lists (However, I find using bullet journals for tracking extremely useful. It helps me build awareness because I often forget what were I even doing at a day). Also, remember you don't have to take care of the bullet journal every day! You can fill it for the whole next week and just check it every few days or so. And even if you skip a week, you still have a monthly goal!
Oh well, whatever you decide to do, wish you the best of luck with it. Cheers! :)
P.S.: I found a video on a minimalistic bullet journal, perhaps you'd like this one more. The lady in the video said it takes for her 30-60 minutes to set up the journal for the next month. I'd say that's pretty fast! ua-cam.com/video/DRt8j7H1GvE/v-deo.html
That's interesting.
🤣
Don't forget pooping, that's kinda important.
Bullet journaling, meet my overwhelming, untreated depression and negatively scaled motivation levels.
You need to speak better of yourself. Try speaking to yourself instead of listening to yourself.
Been there. The entire last year and some. Bullet journaling/using a planner was helpful.
I used it to track and plan even the most basic of daily tasks. Wash the sink/counter full of dishes that have been sitting for a week+? because everything is dirty and I can't even make a sandwich? Write it in the planner. It helped more than you would think.
Cindy Guentert Baldo's video 'how to use a planner when you don't have plans' got me doing it.
I'm with you buddy. If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans. If you want all the gods to laugh in unison, make bullet point lists of your plans.
Personally, I just like making the weekly spreads and justifying my stationery purchases to myself 🤷♀️ but it did help when I was saving money! It was very satisfying to see my weekly logs of how much I was adding to my total and having to write down all my purchases helped me avoid frivolous spending. *AND* for some people, including myself, the act of writing, pen to paper, helps with remembering things. When I can visualize the page it's easier to keep track of the things I'm supposed to do. On a different note, I absolutely do not do it every week😂
You should do a "why do people like capsule wardrobes"
As Craig mentioned in this video... he probably already has a capsule wardrobe, as do most men 😆 I am gonna need Chyna’s take on a capsule wardrobe.
Just throwing this out there, capsule wardrobes are just wardrobes. Setting a plan for what you wear and only buying things that coordinate with that plan. It’s not uniforms. It’s just having a plan to get the most out of coordination/mix&match instead of buying willy nilly.
So I was pretty close to just swiping right by this video as I really didn’t think I needed yet another bullet journaling video after the dozens I’ve already watched, but something made me stop and I am so glad I did. I still don’t really care about bullet journaling but this is probably the best video I’ve seen all year. Thank you, and thank your parents definitely hope to see more of them in the future.
Bullet journaling legit changed my life. Now I’m able to use all my anal retentive ways for good and not just annoying my family.
This is the most relatable comment I've read in a while. We might just be the same person
Saw a note saying "Chyna's birth" thinking yall had a secret baby and not she had a birthday
🤣
I dont know why this made me laugh so hard
I love bullet journaling! It helps me figure out what the most important events and tasks of the day are, and helps me keep track of how much I’ve been working on my long-term goals
OMG! I love your sense of humor! Laughed out loud numerous times watching this video! Keep it up! You're great! I love that you include your parents in your videos!
I just discovered this channel and I don't remember the last time I found someone so effortlessly funny.
"We should've never sent you to college" I died.
- Thank you
- for making
- this video
Bullet Journaling only made me realize I want to do too much and I cant get it done. So then things pile up and pile up and I felt overwhelmed by the amount of things I couldnt complete or get done.
As a person who grew up in Milwaukee, "Seinfeld but in Kenosha" is probably the funniest joke I've ever heard ever
"Careful, there's a beverage here, man!" Thanks for the dude quote... and the video.
Craig: As you guys know, my parents are getting divorced-
Me, behind on WheezyWaiter videos: .......what 🥺
me 2
but if they don't vibe together so be it
they are still cool people
I think
I had the same reaction. I have not watched in years. The fact that the parents joke about it on camera blows my mind. Hopefully it means it’s amicable
@@kimchong4539 lol they're just joking
"congratulations on your attention span, by the way," he says while I watch at 1.5 speed while also looking at my phone 😶😶
2x speed for me
Same, but not 2X speed, what with the OTHER productivity vlogs running in two other screens I’ve found I can only absorb three simultaneous conversations at 1.25; 1.5 if they’re slow talkers.
The image of Braveheart whipping out his bullet journal mid battle is giving me big Sharpe with his map vibes :')
I do love goodnotes, I love that I can move around things and have whatever color I want
It's also really adorable that journaling has actually helped you
There’s this amazing invention called ‘pencil’ it’s so cool because you can like write stuff but like erase it as well. It’s totally sick :)
BBBOOOORRRRRIIIINNNGGGG! Seriously, until someone invents pencil and paper I can search for an exact phrase, series of words, or give me infinite freedom to rearrange ideas on the fly, digital > caveman pencils/pens/old school intractable knowledge
Also, using an app for bullet journaling sounds pretty fun and you don’t end up using as many materials or spending as much money depending on the app you use. Plus the undo button is amazing. 😂 Nothing wrong with that!
Weeeelll the cost of a few pens+journal vs. iPad and a pen to use that with..... I will not be buying an iPad. 😅
In my case I like to reduce my screen time, I already stare at screens too much. The journals I buy cost like 2 bucks :)
@@CheeCheeMcFee true, I think using different things to fit your needs is good. I wouldn’t do digital bullet journaling because I’m very easily distracted with everything else on my tablet.
@@ThatWeirdFinn I think it can depend on if you like quality materials and bullet journals and you want to do it for a long time. I have a preference for really expensive materials that work well and last a long time. So pens, paper, glue, pencils, and journals can really add up every year. And honestly, I didn’t think about how much it’d be to buy a new iPad and an Apple Pencil. I’ve had an iPad for a few years and ive never needed a stylus so expensive so I didn’t take those things into consideration, and that’s my privilege talking, my bad! That’s one thing I need to work on!
I use Taskade for bujo similar stuff. There's different formats you can use. I personally have it set up with columns like slack.
Your parents are just the best
Craig's parents has become the entertaining thing I wasn't expecting to be this good this year, so far.
I did anticipate the last “coffee” there. And when it came, I still had a good laugh 😂
Same I involuntary laughed really out loud for some reason at the coffee part and scared my roommate in the other room😂
That non-stop swiping hahahaha xDDD
On a paper notepad no less.
The UA-cam algorithm just gave me this video, and I’m so glad it did! I’d never heard about bullet journaling. It sounds like a great idea - it’s something else that I can do to help me feel productive without having to actually get up off the couch and DO something! Thanks!
I would like to thank the UA-cam algorithm gods for recommending me one of your videos, love your content! 😁
I made a nice bullet journal last summer, poured a lot of time into trying to make it look nice but still functional for me. I used it a lot for two months, but then someone broke my car and stole my backpack, which contained the journal. Setting it up all over again would have been so much work so I just ended up giving it up. Maybe I will try it again in the future.
Get a $1 notebook in walmart and do it without putting too much effort
I use a notebook and just scribble notes. I love my scribbles in all their untidy glory!
Bullet journalling is just making list-making complicated..
I love how his mom is just swiping right the whole time.
It's weird.
I've been watching your videos for almost a decade now.
You've helped me to develop my world view, and I find myself speaking similarly to how you write your scripts.
I realise why I am critical of what I am, and how to deal with my garbage.
My little message to you, as always, appreciate you and the work you put into the vids, mate.
Appreciate it.
You should do a video about capsule wardrobes/having a uniform.
Haven't seen you in a while, but missed you! Your explanation of the bullet journal was more helpful than videos I've seen that are dedicated to the topic.
I started on the first of March. I have an appointment to talk to a psychiatrist about potential ADHD on the 30th. Whatever the results, I think the journal has helped me. But I refuse to shorten bullet journal.
Insaaane, I also started this month and also have a psychiatrist appointment on the 30th to discuss potential adhd!! Wtf?! Hahaha
I have Adhd . I hope you get your symptoms figured out.
I too, refuse to shorten bullet journal. I believe in them, but I'm not that crazy 🤪 good luck!
Unrequested update: I indeed have adhd (inattentive) and am now on Strattera and Ritalin 😂 Any tips for figuring out if they work?
@@jadevt1939 give it time. Take the meds every day don't take a break from it.
I failed two classes in college before finding bullet journals, with that organization i never failed again, about a year after i started using it, i started noticing that i was way ahead of my friends with homework and getting a lot of free time.
Every episode with your parents is my favorite episode!
I don't do this myself, Because i have bad habits, but i recommend this for literally everyone. Record what happens every day of your life. Even if you lose the journals one day, your memory for events and people in your life will be stronger.
I don't know if your parents are actually getting divorced or not
I need to know!!!
I am glad I am not the only one totally lost about this.
YES!! I just did this last week! I was also able to get a year of vids planned. Usually I’m bogged down in details and struggle to achieve my end goal (or “big picture”). I also love, like you said, of being able to “zoom in and out”.
I didn't know I needed this channel until today. Normal people doing fancy Instagram things is officially my favourite thing on UA-cam.
Except that cat playing chopsticks on a keyboard with chopsticks.
The scenes with your parents are so hilarious. Love the videos Craig, keep 'em coming!
You appeared randomly in my recommended, I like your personality. So I have subbed.
Thank you for making this video! I’m about to dive into starting the bullet journal and this was the encouragement and extra push I needed! 😆 I also enjoy your humor! 😂 I need more of that in my life!
I've been bullet journaling for a few years, and it has really worked for me; probably because it's so adaptable. I'm traditionally terrible at using calendars, planners, etc. I use mine pretty casually-it's not an artsy masterpiece. I just keep monthly calendar pages with important appointments & dates, and pages to track each of my goals for the year. It's low-maintenance. I credit my bullet journal for allowing me to actually achieve my New Year's resolutions each year.
Your parents are hilarious, really explains why you're so funny as well
Wheezy: I wish everything had an undo button
Me: Don't we all?
and copy paste
Have we learnt nothing from 'Click'????? lol
Writing on my BUJO how this video became one of the three daily things to be grateful for (the other two are coffee).
I am soooo happy this worked for you!!! Different types of planning are good for different types of people, there is no wrong way ☺️ you do whatever works for you and tweak the things that don’t work 🥰 I love your videos!!
"If you feel like you're always stressed..."
I kind of have the opposite problem. I seem to subscribe to the Douglas Adams attitude regarding deadlines ... "I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by."
Okay, I'm not that bad, but I almost never feel any urgency regarding projects. I usually get things done in a timely fashion, but that is more a matter of just knowing I have to get them done. Is that what others describe as urgency?
Urgency usually comes because you're invested in what you're trying to produce. You've either not given yourself enough time, or you never felt you had enough time in the first place. If you don't care about the results, it's much easier to consider it a task complete and move on. Or just as simply, to not do it because something is a higher priority.
That's my take on it, though 🤷🏻♀️
I’ve been curious, out of all the things you've tried over the years let's say for at least the past 3 years what have you decided to incorporate in your daily life as of today? If you’ve already made a video of this I apologize for missing it and can you tell me how long ago you made it so I can find it? Thanks 🤓
I tend to always watch your videos a couple of days or weeks after you post them. And when I finally watch em they always remind me of how freaking great you’re at making videos- I’m just glad I watch ‘em even tho’ it’s not as soon as they’re out. But yeah.. doing it this way just reminds me how great you are. The channel I’ve been longest subscribed to ❤️
Sooooo happy I found your channel. You’re hilarious but so right! Your parents are hysterical too! Love them!
I wish I could thumbs up this video a dozen times. I'll put that in my BoJo.
This is going to become your highest viewed video by this time next year.
haven't watched the video yet but I've been seeing videos on your update channel for so long and I'm SO EXCITED to watch the final result!!
I love that you tried out the bujo method and I'm glad that parts of it work for you. That's the whole point : get inspiration to try out new ideas and keep what works for you.
The all-seeing all-knowing space baby in the center of the universe stage is overrated in my opinion but I still can't wait for you to reach that stage.
Is that a Tila Tubby reference?
I really got into bullet journaling when I was in Uni, and it was simple and pretty, but then when I got busy it was the first thing I dropped. So I like the idea of making a digital one, and one that doesn’t have to be pretty 😅
I started using Notion to do my bullet journaling and I absolutely love it.
Scribbling and scratchy handwriting make me both happy and productive. No need for fancy artwork.
I hate pretty journals and all the channels that present their intricate monthly spread artwork.
Fabulous!!! Thank you!! This made my whole day brighter! And your parents are great as well!
Just started my first bullet journal yesterday so was looking up tips and found this video. I love this guy! Instantly subscribed. The parents had me cracking up.
Anyone else concerned about Craig's parents? They're hilarious...but I prefer it when they call each other sweet cheeks and say nice things to each other. Because they're awesome and wholesome like that.
"Congratulations on your attention span"
Nah I'm just high bro
4:33 'Baby in a Corner'
I love it!
Bujo you do the way you do it. For some it’s about keeping track of life. Others like you to keep track of todo. It suppose to be simple. You track and rewrite what important. Choosing intentionally what you really want to do versus what you thought you wanted to do. It does relieve the stress of feeling like you always need to do things. One key advantage of paper versus digital is you can flip through pages for random days to reflect back on. Or even flip back to the day exactly a year ago. It suppose to help you see your patterns of habits/ emotion. Memory alone is not reliable since it can be changed to even to the point of false memory.
Well... I’ve always watched all of your videos... but with this new saga of your parents ongoing marital struggles, I’ll be watching double to keep up.
I sure hope December’s bullet journal entry includes making a spliced video of the whole divorcing saga...
Good idea.
I'm definitely one of the people who love bullet journaling! I've gone through phases where it's super helpful every day, and phases where I can check in every once in a while. The physical notebook helps me because I like making habit trackers and using dot pages in general, but I've definitely considered a digital version.
I love how you edited this video. the jumps back and forth between present craig and day(#) craig are funny and well done!
Craig looking cut as hell compared to 4 months ago Craig. Congrats on the continued brogress 💪
Did anyone else check the timestamp when he said congratulated us our attention span? Around @2:05 ? Anyone? Just me then?
no but I did look up from the game I was playing on my phone while watching UA-cam 😅
I didn't even hear him say that!😂😂😂 My ADD....
One minute and a half in and I'm already loving your sense of humor!
I love the quality of your videos Craig. You've clearly taken a lot of time to craft them well. Informative, professional and riddled with genuinely funny jokes. Thank you for putting in such hard work.
Quick suggestion for habits. I noticed none of them were consistent. Have you heard of habit levels? Eg. For cutting sugar:
Min = No sugar in 1 meal
Medium = No sugary snacks
Max = No sugar
Having this system really helps in maintaining consistency which has been proven to boost motivation and guard against abandonment. Give it a try if you're having trouble.
Love your work,
God bless!
Are they getting divorced or not?! This is just cruuuueeeelllll.
I'm so worried about this family. I hope they will be happy in the end.
They're not. He's just writing a funny storyline for them.
I know that ur parents aren’t getting divorced but since there’s like a 2% chance and we just got out of a shit year in which we had a pandemic And murder hornets AND we can’t never have anything nice, I beg u! Please put a disclaimer up or something. My broken heart can’t take it 😭
Just found your channel when searching for "Bullet Journaling" videos....and I am hooked. You and your parents are hilarious!! LOL. Subscribed!
I started watching Wheezy Waiter in the early 2010's when I was a young teen. Now I am 24, and he remains to be one of my favorite UA-camrs. He reminds me of a better era of UA-cam, one in which I wish we were still in...
“We should have never sent you to college.” 😂😂😂
I thought about getting into bullet journaling but then I thought about how much anxiety I'd have by all the stuff I wouldn't get accomplished because I procrastinate or just too damn lazy to bother.
Love the comical nature but still informative and anecdotal! You also linked to the creator of bullet journaling. Thank you, this was amazing!
I'm really late, and I'm not going through all 800+ comments to check if someone else mentioned this. But for me a mix between regular planners and bullet journals turned out most convenient.
Search for goal planners or life planners. Ideally undated. They offer the same flexibility as bullet journals, but you don't have to make and write everything from scratch. Plus some of them help you out with identifying your goals, setting priorities, etc.
Belly laughing at your parents' scenes. The divorce is obviously a joke... right?
PS if it's real, I'm sorry slash I hope they find their desired happiness.
I'm waiting for your, "I tried Cat Juggling for a Month, and Here's What Happened," next! 😼
april 1... bet
and surprisingly he has like no scratch marks because turns out he's a born natural.
Very clever. Love the family input!
Craig with a wig cosplays as the big lebowski, love it
