My rear right seems to going down on a daily bases, your video will help me alot, with ista you can fill or deflate air from suspension. I have a '04 745i. Both rear started going down but re-air when the car is started and running. I had the car in the shop for fender repairs for 30 days and the battery went bad. Got it replaced but now the left rear is low and not coming back up when started. Do you have any ideas as to why only one is normal and the rear drive side is low??
So just like you saw in this video air leaks can develop in the air spring. Some more severe than others. My guess would be the air leak on the left side is too large now. Second option would be a leak in the air line. I’ve seen rodents chew through the air lines.
I have a 2016 740i G11 after getting chassis function restriction car squatted on all 4 wheels but was drivable. i checked fuses per the manual and changed the relay and compressor. When the car is powered by opening the door or starting the car I hear clicking form the compressor. 3 months ago had both front air struts changed at a independent shop. Can you give me some advice as of now car is almost sitting on the garage floor. Any advice I appreciate in advance thanks.
@@friendlymechanic9778 I ordered a new compressor from the same place you ordered your air strut from. UPDATE!!! I tested all connections in the trunk related to the compressor with a multimeter starting with the relay. I found that on the distribution block by the trunk battery I was getting a reading of at least 11.8v on all fuses except one. So I replaced the distribution block/pyro fuse. Started the car and after 10 mins It aired up in like 1-2 min. That was a week ago. So far so good. Anyone who would like to see I watched this video ua-cam.com/video/V01dIEHsR-0/v-deo.html

Hi bud I have the same issue on a bmw 730d G11. I have replaced the left front leaking air spring. I can not the car level and on the correct ride height. Using ISTA, i have tried callibration, etc. Currently, the right side of the car is way higher than the left side. Do you have any tips or ideas ?
Once you inflate the air springs with ISTA it doesn’t have to be perfect. Just erase the codes. Take it out of service mode and test drive it. Within 2-5 miles the ride height will adjust. It usually adjusts in the first two miles for me. I think that’s 4-8km.
Rats in the works ugh, I did see my friend go to change his air filter and inside was no filter just chewed up mess and 5 baby rats, eyes still closed, Can anything be done on a bmw that doesn't require taking the car apart lol, props to you!!
those ebay air struts for these cars I would not recommend. They never last, they fail, they ride differently, and usually set codes, and they never warranty them. I always suggest Arnott or factory. Arnott being better than factory. they are pricey, but so are these cars.
Everything right beside last step. Don’t require to removed those arm at the end. You just need heavy pry bar to push whole carrier down
Yeah I did try that but I couldn’t hold the pry bar down and push the bolt in at the same time. Thank you for the tip! 👍🏼

So how would I lower this same car with this type of system? Can I use the compressors that are already there for air and just replace the air struts?
did the car throw chassis stabilization? if not what code it threw?

No the X7 is very different I would say it is easier than doing it on G12 7 series.

What kind of compressor did you install? Was it OEM? used or new?

@@friendlymechanic9778 It was aftermarket I found out the in line fuse was blown. I changed that and everything worked.
