I'm an okie. I saw you in my feed and your channel name caught my eye. Always wanted to learn about windmills. Thanks for filming and editing. You make me laugh smiling at the camera and waving at us. Love the channel.
Howdy there! Thank you! We try, and are getting better, but have so far to go to get where we want to be! Yep, the wave might just have to be our thing from here on! Thank you for liking it and watching us!
Hi neighbor from New Mexico. When our farm pump quit in the 1960's, I got to help my father and older brother replace a pump similar to what you had to do. I was too young to understand what and why. In the 1970's we switched to a electric pump, so I never really got to see all the work that goes into this type of well. Thanks for the look back for me.
Man thank you! I’m glad he did too! We never would have been discovered if he hadn’t! When you get one, I can walk you through things if you need! Thank you for watching and commenting!!!!
Excellent production! Easily your best video yet. I still have tons of questions, but you're knocking them out one by one. Re Gloves -- yes, real men do. I would have at least three pair on the truck at all times. You slice open your hand and lose a day's work, you'll be sorry. Also, please share some long shots of the landscape from up top - it's beautiful country. Good job, Lori -- don't be shy. Your comments are always helpful.
Thank you Sir! I was happier to hit the upload button this morning, because I have been working on this one since Saturday. Trying to take in all the comments and implement them, because they are all good things to hear. Her microphone will be here tomorrow, so she will now be heard loud and clear. She is very wise and really keeps me doing things right on the job site. As for the shots from the top, will do! I do have the chance to see the best views, although I’m not sure the camera does it any justice, that’s why I haven’t, but will more now! Thank you again!!!!!
I'm stopping at 22 minutes to comment. First, the head mount action is MUCH better (thank you for the extra effort!). Second, the way you and Lori communicate and her knowing what the next step is without you saying anything is a joy to watch. You are lucky to have her on your team. Third, I still have the feeling I missed something in the introduction -- is the main objective to fix the pipe not holding water (i.e., leaking down faster than the pump can fill the pipe)? The fact that it drained so fast seems to point to the check valve or a hole nearer the bottom - not the first joint.
Thank you for watching this new one and noticing that! We do work well together, but we do have long rides home tho sometimes, after a long hot sweaty day together and feelings get hurt, etc….I am super lucky tho and I know it well! Sorry, yes, the objective is to figure out why water is dropping out of the column so fast, with a new foot valve on bottom. It shouldn’t be. My thought is rust break thru where a pipe wrench had been. You’re still watching so I wont spoil it for you, but it’s a big dumb mistake………
If you weld a ring at the end of your vise grips, you would be able to tighten them when their clamped. Just a suggestion, I’m a Union Sheet Metal Worker in Ct and that’s how we use grips to hold onto stuff.
@@OkieWindmiller we use an ( I ) bolt like the one that would be on fan motor to lift it up and cut the threads off, then weld it to the threaded knob.
Oh yes, she is always anticipating my next move! And, it’s always before I even know what I need. Thank you for watching! Please stick around. I will get better at the production end!
I’ve been subscribed to puddin for a couple years and he’s a great guy. I subscribe to you due to his suggestion and you guys are awesome too! Thanks for taking the time to make these videos!
I'm curious , how did you get involved in that trade ? It's nice that Lori likes to be a partner and give you that extra hand when needed , plus someone to chat too !!!😊
Good morning! Thank you for watching! So, she bought me an old windmill in 2004, and I rebuilt it, installed it, and it gained attention of people that had old windmills that needed work, so we started doing it on the side. Fast forward about 22 years, I quit my full time job to take care of the windmill business, because we had gotten very busy and backlogged with work. She is wonderful and she is my brain! She thinks things through differently than I do, so it’s a perfect match! Thank you soooo much for watching and commenting!
Great seeing how well you and Lori work together. I was also questioning why you weren’t using the crane to move those pipes to the ground outside the windwill. 67 pounds isn’t a lot of weight but moving 20+’ pipes isn’t easy on the body.
Thank you! Yep it’s a pain to use the truck once outside the tower, so I just do it. Not too heavy, but they’re cumbersome. Thank you soooo much for watching!!!!
Dude. We don't ha E these in Washington. We'll, ones that work anymore. Never seen the guts of one. Awesome to learn about. And you seem like an awesome guy to do business with. Keep up the great work. Stay humble.
Man thank you!!!! That makes my day! I went TDY several years ago to Oregon, and drove up to Washington and remember seeing one and really wishing I could climb it. It was in bad shape too…….. Thank you for watching! I hope you like our videos, we’re trying to get better!!!!
We don't have that kind of windmill ind Denmark. Goverment want money far all the water you use ☠️ But it is Fyn to see how you are dooing things. Best regards from the retired carpenter.
Man the govt wants to charge for the water?! They will do that soon, but I hope that all the wells will be grandfathered in and we will still get to work on them. Thank you!
Loving your channel, I live in Arizona now, but lived in Tulsa for 6 years, and it's so relaxing to be out in the fields in Oklahoma (unless you are working like you guys) I hope that you get tons of subscribers. My request it to see more of the surrounding area. Maybe a little intro on where you are located, not exactly, so that it's still private for the owner, but just general view of the location. Maybe it's just me, but that would be cool
Sweet! Thank you!!! Oklahoma is a place you don’t miss until you’re gone.,…..,.,We love our office being in somebody’s pasture for sure! We are truly blessed! Good idea, we will do that!! I’m all about people seeing more about us, I was actually thinking that this morning!! Have a great day!
I'm a retired OTR Trucker. The best way to resolve your battery problem is get a generator on your truck to keep the batteries charged. Or you could run the vehicle engine wich gets expensive. How ever many watts your lift uses DOUBLE the watts on generator. Add a RV refrigerator and you'll have ICE COLD DRINKS AND ICE CREAM for those triple digit summer Temps. 💖 from Minnesota use to live in Texas I bet I drove over 100,000 miles through Oklahoma! 😎 #PuddingFan
I have enjoyed watching your videos. I’m a retired farmer in south Georgia. Windmills are pretty much a relic of the past down here these days although you still see one occasionally. There were many old hand pumps located on the farm years ago, as well as Jack pumps, so I’ve pulled and replaced leathers on rod pumps many times. I have a question if you don’t mind? I’m not a fan of good farmland being converted to solar panel farms which seems to be the norm down here these days, however converting wind power to solar power for individual well pumps makes sense for those who want them. My question is this, are these pumps on a timer, do they run full time, how much water can they pump as compared to the windmill? I’m assuming these solar pumps are the conventional submersible pumps? Sorry to be so inquisitive, I’m just curious.
Howdy there!!!! So my wife is a Georgia girl! Yes I had a hard time talking myself into doing solar wells, but parts were getting hard to find for many of the obsolete windmills, and swapping to a new one was expensing, and they had to babysit them, and the yearly maintenance. So solar is a great thing for the farmer/rancher. Most of my installs are on float switches on the tank. Tank is full, pump goes off. Other places, they want the water to run over and go to a pond. I also try to match the solar pump to what a windmill would produce, most that involves install are 6 gpm, and a few 3 gpm. I can pump up to 96 gpm if the static water table is high. These are pretty much regular submersible pumps, but the Grundfos will run on either ac or dc. So I wire them for panels and a plug to run off the generator if need be! Thank you so much for the questions and for watching!!!!!!
When I was watching the last video I thought I saw the pipe rotation get crossed up and I almost asked you about that but I didn’t. I have been an A/C technician for 35 years and when you’re working by yourself it’s easy to mess up when you’re hot and tired and just want to finish.
Man I wish you would have stopped me when ya noticed it! Yep, somebody once said the only way to insure you make no mistakes is to never start. Thank you sooooo much for watching and I hope you keep watching!!!!!!!
Ah yes off on another Whirl Wind adventure ( see what i did there) we all make mistakes takes a big man "Hey i messed up" good job getting everything going and Having the Boss Lady Team Partner always helps, keeps ya on track 😂😂, Don't think i mentioned I'm from Lower East Tennessee here, outside Chattanooga, not many Windmill's here why I'm enjoying these videos. 👍
Thank you sooooo very much! Haha whirlwind! Good one! Yes I hated to make that mistake, but a lot of viewers were not happy the way I left the previous video, understandably so! It took going home and pondering what I could have missed……. Yes, she is the boss and I’m sooo lucky to have her! Also, she is from Georgia, so you may hear that accent come out every now and then. Her microphone will be delivered tomorrow, so now people can hear her get on to me!!! Thank you for watching and subscribing!!!!!!
I used to live in South Logan County, and you were in my old Fire Protection District, (I think) if you were south of Seward Road, you were in the Oak Cliff Fire Protection District. If north of Seward Rd, you were in Guthrie Fire territory. I really enjoy watching your channel, and used to do service on water wells. Next time you're in the South Logan County area, you should look up my old employer, at Jenks Water Well Service on Broadway Road, just north of Waterloo Road. I think you might have some stories to share. I don't know if I'll ever get to survey your company for insurance, but that's what I do now. Hope to see more vids in the future. No fixes for the battery/camera overheating, just have lots of fresh batteries and cameras, switch them out frequently, that's all you can do if you want to record in the heat, or extreme cold.
Man thank you! Yep we were south of Seward rd for sure! About 1/2 north of Waterloo. Nice area! I have seen that shop on my drivings, just never stopped in. One day I will! Thank you for the camera info, them things really can make a fella mad when they keep dying like that! Thank you for watching and commenting!
The person that had rigged the windmill before you got it. The one that installed the all thread. Replaced the pipes in the wrong order. You replaced them in the order they came out and installed the broken fix the same manner. It worked somewhat better because you had serviced the old pump. But the original problem was still there. I used to repair computers and the first question I asked to user is , "is it plugged in " ? The customer said ,"It is too dark, I can't see if it is plugged in or not, Our power is off."
Yes sir. Had to be, because I never took that piece out with the all thread. Thank you for your support and for watching! Please stick around! It’s perfect now tho!
Thank you!!!! Yes it was hard to tell the customer that I had messed up but they were happy to see that the repair wasn’t going to cost them anything. I like my customers to pass on their good experience with us……….. Every day we go out, we learn! Thank you again!
If you keep lifting that pipe the way you are by hand you WILL blow out your O-ring! Ask me how I know. 2 back surgeries later I have titanium and rubber for my L4-5. You have the truck, momma to look at while the cable winches and while time is valuable in life. Just know its been 3 years of absolute hell just to get back to house chores. Never can go back to my old job and never will be the same. It will also help with your head movement speed on cam. As far as extending battery life, if you are using a GoPro product.... well expect them to over heat and have crap battery life. You have an awesome setup going don't risk it for the biscuit my guy! Keep the awesome videos coming!!
Man tons of wisdom there! Thank you! I have also had L4-L5 back surgery. I am still dumb sometimes tho, just like you saw. I will do better because I also know that I can screw it up again………. Yep I agree, slowing down isn’t a bad thing! Thank you again and please keep watching!!!!!!
@@OkieWindmiller oh I will! your video popped up out of nowhere and I was like meh what the heck (im currently installing a 4" case by hand for a pitcher pump, driving the pipe plugged my point up. So I'm blasting my way down with a trash pump. 20ft so far in the matter of a few hours) Sorry man I heard you grunting and momma fumbling with the vice grips. Shes doing amazing and it takes time to make muscle memory with tools, keep it up momma! But that extra little strain and over exertion is what got me my robot parts. Just turned 34 and wish I had listened to the old taters. I envy everything about your job, no one barking orders, beautiful views, live stock, I see you on youtube! Your back aint a rental! Treat it gentle! You wanna throw it out do it in other ways brother!!
Man still tons of wisdom and at 34??? I wanna do a driven well one day, but we have sandstone about 3’ down so I figure it wouldn’t be any fun. That’s awesome that you’re getting it to work. If you need any info just holler but it sounds like you’ve got this! We use Baker water systems hand pumps, but also love the old Dempsters. Thank you again for all the kind words, mama loves reading these and loves when she is included! She is amazing for sure. I do grumble a lot and try to understand my breath, but sometimes it comes out, and she always catches it and whacks me for it. Have a great day man!
As someone with a life long paralyzing fear of heights (even rather minor heights) I watch you with a sense of dread😮. But I know you obviously are safe and comfortable by this point! Enjoyable vid!
i would love to see some specifics on the crane. i can’t quite figure out how you extend and retract the boom. or how tall your crane is? and how much it can lift. a video like that showing the crane would be neat.
I will do that! You aren’t the first to mention we need to do an equipment video!! I’m on it! The crane in that video is called a Pulstar P7 pump hoist. It uses hydraulic cylinders to raise the boom, then the load line is used to extent it. It’s an amazing tool for sure! Thank you for watching and commenting!!!
Could you please explain all the practical uses today of a windmill and how it works in detail. Why does it pump water to nowhere? Why is the tail section sideways sometimes. Is it brakes or parked?
Yep I will now and am planning a video soon! So windmills have became popular again for the nostalgia of years gone past, and there are a lot of baby boomers that were raised with a windmill in their yard pumping water to their houses. So a lot of our installs are non-pumping displays, to look like they’re doing a job. We also fill a lot of water tanks for livestock. When you see them flowing , they usually overflow the tank they are filling, so people bury water line to a pond to catch the excess water to help during drought times, which is all summer every summer here in Oklahoma. This maintains healthy fish and wildlife. All from the wind! Good question about the tail! So when the tail is back and perpendicular to the fan, that makes the fan face the wind head on and makes it run. When the water needs turned off or during stormy/windy weather, we turn them off. That is when the tail is pulled sideways parallel to the fan. That pulls the fan out of the wind and there is also a brake that is applied to the fan! Thank you for watching and questions. I will have a video for you soon!!!
You can repack it so it can build pressure at the top. That jack pump installed is similar to the hand pump except its using a pulley and lawn mower engine to power it sucker rod hook to the gear box. Works like the top windmill gear box 😊 you don't need wind though because you have a engine
Have you had any experience with airlift pumps? I recently bought some land with an abandoned well. It has 4" PVC casing and no pipe, plumbing, or electrcity running into the well. It's 197' deep and the water is about 40" below the surface. I lowéred a 200' length of 1" black plastic pipe with a tee connecting to a 1/2" air hose. The tee is about 2' from the bottom of the 1" pipe. So the air hose and 1" pipe goes downhole. When I pump air to it, bubbles rise in the 1" pipe and carry the water to the surface. A 1/3 hp compressor pump raises about a 5 gallon slug of water about once per minute. Such a pump may be useful to you to clean mud from a well. No moving parts downhole and it works well to remove trash.
Man no I have not! That sounds awesome and totally useful! I bet that’s a sight to see when it pukes out 5 gallons of water at a time!!!! I will look into them!! Thank you and thank you for watching!!!!
@@OkieWindmiller There are several YT videos about airlift pumps. Unfortunately most are for hydroponics or aquaponics for low lifting heights. As I understand, about twice as much pipe should be below water as above. Also, air volume must be large enough or you'll wind up with only a small stream of bubbles in the pipe. The idea is to have the weight of the air/water combination above the tee to be less than the pressure of water head above the tee since it's this pressure that forces water upward.
@@OkieWindmiller Try UA-cam search for Elgin Texas airlift pumps. FryTV is the poster. His tee has the sidearm mated to a 90 deg hose barb to thread adapter making a nice narrow parallel pipe Y with the two verticals carrying air downward and air/water mix upward. Possibly a 12V tire inflator pump would deliver enough air from your truck to drive a 1" black plastic pipe with a 1/2" plastic pipe feeding air to the Y. A 2' tailpipe at the bottom of the Y may not be necessary but it keeps the air from possibly escaping downward instead of bubbling up through the pipe. that can be dropped down the narrowest well. Forget about air stones or bubbler rings downhole
I know it's easier said than done and money is tight these days but you definitely need a remote control for your hydraulic controls. We use to pull all our windmills and we just used a winch bolted to the flatbed then a chain up through top of tower with a block to let the cable drop straight down. When we got a cordless winch. Omg was it a game changer!!!
Buddy you ain’t lyin! I have a remote, but I can’t track down the issue it has. When it’s plugged in, it puts the truck at high idle, which makes it too fast and jerky, so not good to use. This winter when it slows down a bit, I hope to look into it!
I’ve been thinking same thing. When Lori not with you When she is there , she is an amazing operator!!!!!! And help, again she is always 4-5 steps ahead of you!!!!!! Enjoyed
Thank you sooo much! That makes my day! I hope to be getting better every time I make one, and also every time I turn on the camera! Thank you for watching!!!!
Yep I believe that is a part of it, but this case was strictly because it froze and allowed the hold down clamp to slip from its spot, allowing the windmill to lift the well pipe up enough that it would break it, since the pipe going to the pond was buried and had no give to it. I hate plastic pipe that has been there for years, and try to put a pipe wrench on it and snap!!! That sun kills the PVC for sure! Thank you for watching and commenting!!!!!!
Hi from Niagara Falls Canada.. One note: dont have your music (like this at the end) go loud cause people watch late at nite some times and it can wake up the boss.
Hi, I am new to your channel. I like your videos. Have a question. I have samson stover open gear. Looking for parts. Could you tell me we're I can get parts for my windmill please?
Awesome! I have one too. It’s the 8’ model. Yes, eBay actually! Put that in the search bar and hit the go button. Will be from Windmill-parts. They have quite a bit of stuff and if it’s not listed, you can ask and he probably has it! If you need help, I can help also. Thank you for watching and liking! Good luck with that awesome mill!!!
Love your channel . The camera on your head does not work for me. Maybe Mama can handle it. Or mount it to the windmill where it can focus on all you do without the camera moving all the time. 😊 Also like to see waterflow at end. Cheers from South Africa.
You and bunches of others said the same thing. I have since stopped using it. I have to do too much looking around for it to not make viewers sea sick! Thank you for watching also the way from South Africa!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for your reply. We have a area called The Karoo. Very dry area and lots of farmers also have Windmills. Love what you are doing. Keep them coming.
I am in Utah, when I built my home I asked if I could drill a well and that said sure, you can't pump any water unless you can get water shares. None to be had at any price! Typical government answer!
You just have the well guys drill the hole and stop pending your water rights, and then you install the pump with a pit-less, nobody can stop you from drinking the water under the property you own if they come to stop you, you place them in the ground with the water they think they controll
I do it with my GoPro eight plug it into just the one of them little handheld battery packs that are like 20,000 mA or whatever and I used to take it fishing with me and Kent four hours of films
Does anyone know of a 1/8 scale working windmill? There used to be a casting set from someone in the Midwest but I suspect they're long gone. I don't think the guy in Australia still makes windmills but even if he did shipping would be a killer.
I have a 1/4 scale Aermotor, doesn’t have any gear mechanism, just like casting and wheel/vane. I k ow there used to be dealer samples that were running around, they were probably 1/8 scale, pretty amazing!
Could the weep hole pipe have been placed into the wrong position when the all-thread section was installed? I don't remember you cleaning the weep hole out in the original video.
I can’t figure that out either. May have. That may be why somebody tried to fix it. That may be one of the things we will never know, but, I should have caught it regardless. I was sooo tired my that point, but still not an excuse. Made me end up doing double the work…….. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!!!
So I would like to say that I did watch your first video before this. You did remove and put everything back in the same order that you removed them. That being said, someone else had done the work before you even started that job. The reason I am saying this is that sucker rod wouldn't normally just unscrew itself and fall off 60'. It would have had to unscrew from 2 points "simultaneously". Don't blame yourself too hard, Yes you should have verified where the weep hole was, but the fact that you removed and placed things back in the same order was not your fault. Remember that the Pump handle assembly was off when you first showed up and you were complaining about having to make sure everything was there and no missing pieces. There was a second hint that when you hit that 3rd pipe then you had water gushing out showed that there was no problem with the seal at the bottom holding approximately +/-8.34 Gal of water @ +/-100 Lbs head pressure of water. All I can say is, We all make mistakes, but not all of us learn from them. (RH 1978) But being better said by George Santayana, a Spanish-American philosopher born in 1863 “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” 🤗
Man wisdom there! Thank you. One thing about me is I do make mistakes, but do fess up to it, correct it, then learn from it. Thank you again! I may sleep a little better tonight!!!!!
This was interesting and I learned some things. I can understand liking having your wife around, but wouldn’t a wireless remote control for your crane be a wise investment? Also you can get or make something to lift sucker rods with your crane. Too many people in this business have bad backs and that would put you out of business.
Howdy there! Well I have a remote, but I’m troubleshooting a problem with it. It’s the greatest thing since sliced bread when it works. I also have a thing to lift sucker rod, and have already have had back surgery. You make many correct points. But the job has to be done and sometimes I have to do things I don’t like. I think about all of this every day when I’m working. Thank you for watching!
Hello!!!! That’s awesome you can see us in Denmark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for watching! I hope you like our videos! Let me know if I need to do anything different!
Haha yep it’s something else! The cable runs inside the tube around a pulley and back out to the weight. When you run the weight to the top, the inside pulley starts rolling, and out ahead goes!
Haha I know! People back in those days were tough! That hand pump also has a hollow tube as the handle. The old ones had cast iron, so the weight alone helped you pump it! Thank you for watching!!!!!!!
@@OkieWindmiller other question. What’s the biggest pump available for windmills. I think - I don’t know- a 16 or maybe 20'ter can handle 5" pumps if available. Or are the pumps only in one size- 2.5"
I really like 2” pumps. But, Aermotor’s website shows up to 8” pump, but only up to the 16’ mill. No 20’ data. Shows the 16 will lift an 8’ pump on the short stroke from 78’ and 59’ for the long stroke!
Yall can make water 💧 run, but can't make wind blow. When can yall start selling some t-shirts with the pockets? My kids love the show. Please let us know, stay busy!
Man thank you! Nope, wind just does what it wants to do! Man I’m glad yall like it! We will do that. I’m like pocket ones also. I will keep your name and let you in on it!!! Thank you so much!
It’s PVC pipe tape. It is the stickiest stuff on earth, and get 4 wraps and it isn’t going anywhere. Also won’t be holding much pressure, just allowing us to move the hole up just a bit. Thank you for watching!!!
No we never have. We have been asked to before, and seriously thought about it, but figured I better stay in my swim lane….Thank you for watching and commenting!
We replace with PVC(sch 80 or 120), but sometimes the customer requests steel. Also if they want a bigger pump, we use steel, as the plastic doesn’t hold up to the strong up and down motion of the larger pump. Thank you for watching and asking questions! Have a great day!
That’s awesome! Windmills are amazing and a pain in the butt at the same time, bet once they’re running good, they’re awesome and even more fun to just watch spin! Thank you for watching!!!
You owe me nothing my friend! Glad to see more people tuning in and interacting with the channel! I hope it continues to grow!
Man I do! You have changed our lives for sure! Thank you for your guidance and amazing help!

It’s amazing the influence people have. He is such a great person. I think the world sees that!😀. Thank you for watching us!
Another great one. Love how y’all brainstorm together and get it figured out. Thanks for preserving a piece of history.
Thank you!!!!! Yep sometimes we have to collaborate to figure things out!
Great to see a long term relationship working together.
Thank you! Yep, we agree! More marriages would survive if people sweated together!!! Thank you again!

Ohhhhhhh on the threaded knob? Good idea! Man thank you for watching and for the suggestion! If this is correct let me know! Thank you again!!!!
@@OkieWindmiller we use an ( I ) bolt like the one that would be on fan motor to lift it up and cut the threads off, then weld it to the threaded knob.
Heck yeah! You might see that very soon on our vice grips! Thank you for the idea!
Good Job kept my interest glad I could watch it. I've never seen anyone work on a windmill I'm 72 years old I live in Michigan
Nice thank you! 72 years YOUNG you mean! Yep we do it! Thank you for watching! Have a great day!
Love the windmills stuff. And have your wife help you on every job. She anticipates your every need like the best helpers do.
Oh yes, she is always anticipating my next move! And, it’s always before I even know what I need. Thank you for watching! Please stick around. I will get better at the production end!
I love windmills and love your channel. I'll be watching.
Awesome! Thank you! We love them too!!! Thank you for subscribing and watching!!!
Love it ! Watching your channel from Melbourne Australia. Southern Cross windmill owner.
How cool is that!!!!! Thank you for watching all the way down there!!!!! I love the Southern Crosses!!!!!
You are a good gigger and man of the farms. Thank you two, make it fun!
Thank you so much!!!! We do for sure!!!!
I’ve been subscribed to puddin for a couple years and he’s a great guy. I subscribe to you due to his suggestion and you guys are awesome too! Thanks for taking the time to make these videos!
Thank you sooooo much! That makes our day. What we do is a little different, but we hope it’s cool enough to keep people watching!
E are from okc and guthrie. Now living in Florida and we just ran across your channel. Really enjoying it.
Sweet! Thank you! That’s awesome! I hope we help you feel at home!!!! Thank you for watching!
Goverment want money far all the water you use ☠️
But it is Fyn to see how you are dooing things.
Man great advice!!! I love the refrigerator idea!!!!!! Thank you so much and thank you for watching!!!!
Howdy from Lawton never would know you were around these areas if I hadn't stumbled on your site good work
Howdy!!!! That’s close! Man I’m glad you did! Please stick around!
Coming all the way from Los Angeles Ca. Love the channel. 🙂
LA!!! Man awesome! Thank you! It’s different for sure!
You have a new sub from The Valley of The Sun, Arizona. I'm enjoying your videos. Lori sure is right there when you ask for something.
jack
Thank you sooo much! She is amazing isn’t she! Thank you for subscribing and watching!!!
Real folks doing honest work. 🙏😎🙏
Thank you! We sure try!!!!! Thank you for the kind words!!!!!
You are getting better, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for that! I love hearing that!!!!!!! I’m trying for sure!
Great episode. And hey we learn from are mistakes just how it is
Thank you!!!!

@@OkieWindmiller oh I will! your video popped up out of nowhere and I was like meh what the heck (im currently installing a 4" case by hand for a pitcher pump, driving the pipe plugged my point up. So I'm blasting my way down with a trash pump. 20ft so far in the matter of a few hours)
Sorry man I heard you grunting and momma fumbling with the vice grips.
Hi frome Finland. We used to have a Chicago aermotor from early 1900 hundreds.
Hello 👋🏻 in Finland! Thank you for watching us! Was the Aermotor in Finland!?
As someone with a life long paralyzing fear of heights (even rather minor heights) I watch you with a sense of dread😮. But I know you obviously are safe and comfortable by this point! Enjoyable vid!
Haha than you! I have a healthy respect for the altitude for sure!!!!! Thank you for watching and please keep it up😀
i would love to see some specifics on the crane. i can’t quite figure out how you extend and retract the boom. or how tall your crane is? and how much it can lift. a video like that showing the crane would be neat.
You two make a good team. Don't like the top height for working. Wonder if you use a safety harness up there. Enjoy your videos.👍👍
Howdy! Yes we do, we have been a team for a long time. I do when I’m up there any amount of time, but the up and down, I don’t.
I am not far from you in Kansas but still enjoy your videos

Thank you waaaaaay up in New York!!!!!!😀
Yep and a little gasoline!!!! Those are awesome!
Man that’s interesting. When I get done baling hay today I’m gonna kick back to some UA-cam and look it up!
Another good one. Thanks for posting
Thank you so much!!!!! Thank you for watching!!!!!!!!
Enjoyed
Hahah yep she is! I’m glad I don’t have to pay her the wage she deserves, or I would be broke!!!!! 😀
Plug in remote if it idles truck, hit brake pedal maybe to cancel idle speed. Then see if it stays low with wench use. I got that from google
Sweet I will try that!!!! Thank you!
Great Video!!! Awesome Watch!
Thank you sooo much! That makes my day! I hope to be getting better every time I make one, and also every time I turn on the camera! Thank you for watching!!!!

Bahahahahaha I hear ya!!!!! Yep I don’t like doing things twice. Thank you for watching!!!!!!
I think your job is really cool
Thank you so much! It really is, except for the days it’s not😀😬. We really love it. Thank you for watching!!!!!
Great job,
Have a great day
Thank you so very much!!!!!!
PVC pipe doesn't stand up to sunlight exposure very well. I think that's why the customer has problems with it breaking frequently.

Ohhh dang didn’t think about that! Noted!!!!!! I hope I didn’t wake the boss!!!!!! Sorry! Thank you for watching!!!!!!!!
I am so glad to your video bring old memory stay with gandme grandpa play in horse water tank

I'm with lorri on the snake thing,we don't have any poisonous ones in Nova Scotia but I still don 't like them.
Haha yep! She hates them for sure, we see very few tho! Hello way up there in Nova Scotia!!!!!! That’s awesome that you can see us waaaaay up there!!
The pump barrel is no good. The ID is bigger so cups may pump a little not last very long, if at all.
Yep!!!! We replaced it all very soon after! You were spot on!
Man yeah! I need to see the Karoo! Thank you!!!
I am in Utah, when I built my home I asked if I could drill a well and that said sure, you can't pump any water unless you can get water shares. None to be had at any price! Typical government answer!
That’s sad! Around here, you can put one pretty much anywhere. You just have a better view!!!!!
You just have the well guys drill the hole and stop pending your water rights, and then you install the pump with a pit-less, nobody can stop you from drinking the water under the property you own if they come to stop you, you place them in the ground with the water they think they controll
Bahahahaha that’s where they belong! That’s crazy. Yeah you just have to have a good relationship with a driller I bet, then you’re good!
I do it with my GoPro eight plug it into just the one of them little handheld battery packs that are like 20,000 mA or whatever and I used to take it fishing with me and Kent four hours of films
Man that’s amazing! Yeah, we only get about 30 min of on and off filming before we’re having to swap it out…….
Just check the footvalve. Mayby leaking. 😊
Yep! That’s always my first thought!!!!
Springfield MO. 👍👍👍🤟🤟🤟🤟
Man we love Missouri! Thank you for watching out there!!!!!
Do your thing brother we will catch up
Will do! Thank you sir!
Double the work, half the fun. 😜
Haha yep!
(RH 1978)
But being better said by George Santayana, a Spanish-American philosopher born in 1863 “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
🤗
Man wisdom there! Thank you. One thing about me is I do make mistakes, but do fess up to it, correct it, then learn from it. Thank you again! I may sleep a little better tonight!!!!!
Yes I agree and also think the pipes had been incorrectly installed before you began. So you were not wrong.
Whew thank you!!!!! 😊
Why didn't you lay the pipe out about 65' behind you and do all that sucker rod transfer in the shade of the tree?
Haha because that would make sense!!!! Thank ya for watching!!!!!!!!
I have done watched three of your videos my name is Eddie Jenkins from Baldwin Greogia
Howdy Mr. Jenkins! I hope you liked them! Mama is from Cumming, Georgia(before it got so populated)

Hello!!!! That’s awesome you can see us in Denmark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for watching! I hope you like our videos! Let me know if I need to do anything different!
I still can’t figure out how that boom scopes out
Haha yep it’s something else! The cable runs inside the tube around a pulley and back out to the weight. When you run the weight to the top, the inside pulley starts rolling, and out ahead goes!
Keep at it 💪
Will do!!!!! Thank you!!!
Wow no need to hit the gym today after all that hand pumping! 😂😂
Haha I know! People back in those days were tough! That hand pump also has a hollow tube as the handle.
The old ones had cast iron, so the weight alone helped you pump it!
Thank you for watching!!!!!!!
At okieWindmiller: if you accidentally lost the pumprod, how do ya get it back?
You have to fish it! And it isn’t fun. 😬😊
@@OkieWindmiller8" wow! I wanna see one in your vids some day.
If you could find a way to charge your camera's battery from your truck, then you would always be able to charge one of your batteries!
Well we have that, but the batteries take like 10 hours to charge. It’s crazy! We have bought more now!!!😀
Where do get the deep well pump from?
I didn’t install that one originally, but I’m a dealer for them. Not that Dempster brand tho, we sell Baker Water Systems hand pumps.
In the oil field we called that a stripping job and hated doing them
Hahaha yep, it’s crazy how similar they are to one another!!
What kind of tape is that you used to wrap over the weep hole.
It’s PVC pipe tape. It is the stickiest stuff on earth, and get 4 wraps and it isn’t going anywhere. Also won’t be holding much pressure, just allowing us to move the hole up just a bit. Thank you for watching!!!
Thank you! I work maintenance at a hospital in Minnesota and thought that might come in handy.
Perfect!!!!!
Needs a foot valve
That’s what I was thinking!!!!
Do yall ever put up wind tubines
No we never have. We have been asked to before, and seriously thought about it, but figured I better stay in my swim lane….Thank you for watching and commenting!
What size alluminum pipe wrenches do you use
I have a 24” and an 18”. The 18’s are perfect, 24 is a little big most of the time.
You keep saying you need a new pipe wrench. You want me to send you mine?😊
She bought me a brand spankin new one!!!!!! 😄
Do you relace with more pvc pipe or metal
We replace with PVC(sch 80 or 120), but sometimes the customer requests steel. Also if they want a bigger pump, we use steel, as the plastic doesn’t hold up to the strong up and down motion of the larger pump. Thank you for watching and asking questions! Have a great day!
i like windmills and some day want one thats how i fond you and now i a scuribyer
That’s awesome! Windmills are amazing and a pain in the butt at the same time, bet once they’re running good, they’re awesome and even more fun to just watch spin! Thank you for watching!!!
