I’m curious, looking at your list of parts required for the maker version, where are the dowel pins and aluminum rod used?
The aluminum rod is used to add rigidity to the joint between the font and back parts of the body. The dowel pins are used to more firmly index the front collar to the body, in addition to the magnets.

That’s what I thought. Assembling the big suck now. One more question. What size hole do you print for the magnets? They fit quite nicely and I would like to use them on other projects.
@@jamesbutler4157 I print them at the actual size of the magnets. Those are 6x4mm magnets.
I don’t think it would work that well. You’d need to customize the front and top collar and the top acrylic. If you did that, I believe it would work well.
What is the function of the clear section?
It's just holding the front and back parts together with a solid piece. It doesn't have to be clear. I don't think you'll ever look through it.
Can I use this even with a Makita router?
Unfortunately, no. It's only set up for a 80mm spindle. I have considered adapting it though. I wonder how much interest there would be in that.
@@UglyDogWoodshop I don't think my last comment posted. But I got the 80mm spindle set up and then got an insert so I can start with the makita router. Do you think this would work?
How much$ is the big suck and how do i order it?
You can find them at Ugly Dog Woodshop, here: uglydogwoodshop.com/products/big-sck-dst-bt1?variant=45041784160511. The price varies based on the configuration, but you can see that on the link above.
