When I look back on the past two decades of the sport it always were the olympic bronze medalists who enchanted the people the most. And as it seems this olympics are no exception. A great triumph for her to be named in line after Alina Harnasko in Tokyo, Ganna Rizatdinova in Rio, Liubov Charkashnya in London and Anna Bessonova in Peking and Athen. And now Sofia Raffaeli. They all earned their place in history as those who were too good for gold. 🥉

@@holayou2241 Yes, in a way I do, cause they all were on a high level of expression and technic. Some even more than the actual gold medalist. In rhythmic gymnastics has been a great focus on difficulty and a fluid performance without mistakes in the past two decades, which neglects the art. What I think was shown in Paris with Varfolomeev, who went without mistakes but had a mediocre presentation of the art, while Raffaeli enchanted the people and told a story. But was ranked in third place cause she made a few minor mistakes. Anna Bessonova was a two time bronze medalist and her performances were always on the same high level. Liubov Charkashnya gained her first medal on the world stage in London 2012, cause she put all her emotions in it and let it show.

Body work is good, but check out the appliance technique. Look how he holds the clubs. There is no good technique with ribbon either. Point.

@@viktoriyamarinova6151there is no automated computer judging in rg, r u kidding me? there is a live panel of judges in every competition. in some videos u can even see them with a sheet full of hand written pencil markings after each routine. plus, if u know anything abt the code of points, u would know that large roll DAs are worth the most now, which is why she has the ball in hand so much, and everyone gets max 5 risks anyway. sofi has some of the most difficult risks, which is how she still scores high without the most rotations in pivots.
