Except for the FUCKING UI. Dumb ass mods announced they'd be fixing it for the official release then it stayed pretty much exactly the same. The UI is solely responsible for a ton of people not playing
The issue is that as trash as it is, the UI establishes the mood for the mod in a way. Yes it would look better with default GUI but I feel atmospherically it would hurt the mod.
I think you should play as Russia some time, my favorite experience with the mod so far. they start out with fucking massive debuffs, but most Russian warlords can unify Russia after Hitler dies.

@@TommyKay Yes Russia is one of the most developed regions, and there are over 40 unification governments, and around 15 different nations with intricate stories and beliefs, and different struggles and really developed focus trees plus intense combat to the very end (if you play Russia I suggest the 2WRW mod)

Benedict Mannheim I mean, it was Germany’s idea to dam the Mediterranean, not the Italians and thus the reason why Italy, Turkey, and Iberia are in their own alliance at the start of the game. There is even an added modifier for Iberia that they have to spend a lot of money to maintain the dam as Germany backed out of the project due to their economic crisis during the 1950s.
I only managed to finish Reinhard Heydrich's playthrough and I gotta say that the story and gameplay was one of the best. SPOILERS DOWN BELOW I blindly trusted Himmler and when Germany broke into pieces I was struggling. After a long time, when I managed to declare war on Himmler and destroy his country, I didn't feel powerful or strong or anything. When Heydrich executed Himmler, I was really in shock. I wasn't expecting all of the treason and killing. Heydrich returns to his family bla bla bla and he suicides. The game COMPLETELY puts me out and Germany is broke into a civil war yet again. A post-ww2 world with nazi victory is completely disastrous, chaotic and hopeless. This mod really gives that vibe. No matter what you do, the world will either never recover and live under a shadow or all will be destroyed.
