Louder does not equal better. The Weber was warmer and sweeter and the notes had more of a swirling quality on the decay making it feel more like they dissipate into the room, rather than just getting quieter till you can’t hear them anymore.
I just bought a Weber 12F150 that I am going to put on a VOX screen with a Celestion Greenback as a couple and a VOX C15 head...let's see what the result is
I have these speakers and a handful more. The G12C is probably the best speaker made for a Fender black/silver amp. Super loud too. My Deluxe keeps up with my Super Reverb with the original CTS Alnico 10’s!
I haven't compared the G12C with the G12C/S but you need to know that the G12C is a bright speaker and if you have a bright amp then G12C/S may be better.
The WGS sounds best to my ear
very surprising
Just can't go wrong with either brand IMO. Awesome playing, I love Villanova Junction. Thanks!
That Weber is the tone of dreams, do you know if this is standard or H dustcap?

Crazy how the 12C competes with and dominates the best of Celestion creambacks and American speakers!
Can you do a head to head with the 12C and the C/S? I need to decide between these two speakers.
