I believe the stage after fixed is re-test and not test, because we'd performed testing earlier to find bugs. Anyway, thanks for the video.

Some times we are using "Defect Status" (Ex: defect status as "new" etc..) and some times we are using "Bug Status"(Ex: Bug status verified, closed etc..). When we have to use "Defect Status" and when we have to use "Bug Status".

i have a questions what are ripple issue and new issue.
suppose a tester detect a bug and developer fixed it and tester again retest it but this time he find a new bug then what will he do now. because its his responsibility to find bugs earlier

When I am posted a valid bug and by mistake TL has rejected the bug...In such case how can I prove it is a valid bug.
With the help of Screenshot you can explain it's valid or not or in Ceremonies time you can explain the Bug based on it's Priority and severity or you can go for a triage calls

Rejected is a final state... It gives info about invalid defects that was team has raised in a release.
Closed, Rejected and Deferred are final states in defect life cycle in a single release

Hi Bindu Maddineni,
Deferred: There is a release around 4 PM in the evening. A tester found a bug around 2 PM and there is no time for developers to fix that and it's not a show stopper (mainly it is a minor bug and not necessary to fix in this release). Also, there are other cases to set the bug status as Deferred. Those we mentioned in the video.
Rejected: One example is Assume you found a bug (web elements such as buttons on a page are not functioning on Google Chrome browser) and posted it. The developer found that it is due to cache in your system and asked you to remove cache and test it. If you find that all the buttons are functioning after removing the cache. In this case, developers will move that bug to Rejected state.

Hi Poojitha, If the bug is found during end of the release and it is minor or not importatant then the dev team move that to next release and set the status as Deferred or Next Release.

Than way use the word bug life cycle... Bug means defeat is accepted by developer than that we call it as bug...so can you please explan

+Aadarsh Srivastava assume you found a bug this morning and planned to post it in the evening. Other tester in your team had found the same issue and posted it before you. Think a developer related to that module is already started working on that. If now the developer found your ticket then the status of your bug will be changed as duplicate. We could avoid the way of posting the simialr issues by following this post

Hi, Assume two testers are working on the same module. There is a possibility of posting the same issue by two testers. In such cases, status of the bug will be assigned as "Duplicate"

Hi Sarthak, Just learn testing basics and learn how to write test cases manually and then take any web app like gmail to test. Write some scenarios such as do login, compose email, etc., and then write test cases for each test scenarios. Its more than enough if u r a fresher. All the best.
